“We were in Louisville for just a quick trip and our family was looking for a good authentic Mexican place to eat. We were SO GLAD to have found this place! The ambience is amazing and so beautifully decorated. The service was perfect, but the best part of all was THE FOOD. The specials were Caldo de Camaron, Pozole Verde, and Chiles Rellenos all super authentic and tasted just like one would make it at home. The drinks were fantastic, we had agua de horchata and jamaica and both were sooo fresh and tasty. Overall, we were happy that the one place we chose to eat was here!! If you are hesitant to stop by, don’t be, just go!!“

“My girlfriend and I just had one of the best experiences here! Our waitress, Paola, was amazing. She made our experience 10x better. She was kind and super friendly. I asked for recommendations and she did not disappoint! If you ever come here, I’d say to request her if you can! Oh, and try the huckleberry frozen margarita and their house-made corn tortillas. 1000/10 experience and will definitely be coming back!“

“I used Ernesto’s catering for rehearsal dinner for our son and daughter in laws wedding. Not only did they quote a couple dollars less per person than other local Mexican restaurants, but they also went out of their way to provide warmer trays and serving utensils. We had to pick up on a Friday night at 6pm, one of their busiest times for sure! The food was hot and delicious! Highly recommend for events as well as for usual, every day dining needs!“

I called and they made it super easy for me to pick up before they even opened, and properly vetted me to make sure it was mine. I really appreciate their effort and kindness.“

There are some chains I really enjoy such as Taco City and Bandidos, but it's not the same authentic taste I'm used to. I'm here to say I've FINALLY found my go-to Mexican food!!! Prices are very reasonable and the taste is authentic. It truly reminds me of home. This was the highlight of my weekend and I've been telling everybody who will listen. “Excellent service, delicious and consistent food, best shredded chicken of any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in La Grange or East Louisville. I have celiac disease and have not had any reaction to their chips, salsa, or cheese dip (nor anything else I’ve ordered so far - taco salad with shredded chicken no tortilla shell, shredded chicken tacos, refried beans, rice). 10/10 recommend!“

“What makes me mad, is I ordered a burrito. Chicken, Rice, onions, black beans and cilantro. Why is it stuffed so full I can't eat it without taking it back to work, and getting a bowl. If I wanted a burrito bowl, I would have ordered one. This fell apart bursting out of the burrito shell as soon as I tried to open it. I could not even begin to take a bite. It's a gorgeous day outside and I wanted to eat at the picnic table.
Also, wipe down your nasty drink fridge. It looks like a million nasty hands have opened that door and it has never been wiped off.
