“We have been to the restaurant several times. I have never tried their steaks so I decided I would this time. I ordered the Maui ribeye. The flavor was good but it was very tough. I ordered it medium and it was cooked properly but there was a lot of gristle which made it hard to eat. For the high price it was very disappointing. My husband ordered the hamburger which was excellent. We also ordered a side of broccoli cooked perfectly. The carrot cake was great as always.“

“We have been enjoying the fish from this Moby Dick location for many years. For the first time today we were somewhat disappointed. Imagine my shock when I unwrapped our Whale of a Sandwiches and discovered the very small fish fillets. Two pieces were no more than 2/3 the size of the bread and very thin. Only one of the 4 fish fillets among the 2 sandwiches covered the bread. All were thinner than expected. The prices have steadily gone up over the years, which I have no problem with. But, for the price paid, the fish should be significantly larger.“

I know how hard restaurant work is, and I’ve always appreciated the care the staff put in. But our most recent experience left us disappointed. The service was unexpectedly inattentive. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, but our server never returned to refill our glasses. A French fry order was forgotten, and when we asked about it, things seemed to unravel. The server was visibly exasperated. A supervisor eventually stepped in, handled things professionally, and assigned a new server—but by then the mood had shifted. This wasn’t just any lunch—it was a farewell meal with a dear friend leaving town, and I’d hoped for a flawless experience. At over $230, I expected more attentive service. I don’t share this lightly. Connors has been a place we’ve enjoyed many times. But this visit left me disappointed, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. Personally, I order the Fish and Clams when I go, you dont have to order that but you're also entitled to have a wrong opinion of the best thing to eat, Perfect place for a 3rd date, would willingly fight a goose in the parking lot to get inside if I had to, inside its exactly what you would expect... old people taking up all the tables like some sort of early dinner club, I believe I was the only person not wearing geriatric tennis shoes out of all of my visits there. I feel like the restaurant is slightly misleading because they dont actually have whale on the menu, it seems like basic white fish, the same as the old people inside (basic and white). Overall have went, have returned and Lord willing will return again.“

“My visit to this Moby Dick fish restaurant left me disappointed. The fish sandwich didn't taste like I recalled from earlier years. I don't know if the batter or the oils in which the fish is fried has changed or if it was my taste buds being a bit off from hours earlier brushing my teeth with toothpaste and mouthwash rinse. Consequently, I'm not going to leave the three star rating I would if I knew for certain it wasn't my taste buds affecting the taste. Even still, the fish sandwich was hot and well prepared and tasted fine, but it seemed just a bit off from the exceptional taste I recalled from a regular visits a few years earlier when I regularly patronized the Moby Dick in St Matthews before it closed. I'll try it again soon and make sure I am hours away from having brushed and rinsed. Ha! I appreciate the Moby Dick establishment and that we still have it in Louisville, so I hope my taste buds were off.“

“We had the best experience! Came in on a whim while in town for our Anniversary. Our server Joc blew it out of the park with suggestions on drinks and food topped off with a nice little back story on the family history in distilling. The old fashioned was one of the best I have had at a restaurant. We had the calamari for an app and the extra spice from the clabrian chilli was an awesome touch. We shared the wedge salad which was an explosion of flavors, with a savory green goddess dressing and topped with fresh grape tomatoes a special type of blue cheese (I can't remember the name) The tuna my wife had had a perfect crust and was cooked to perfection (the best tuna she has ever had) I ordered the lamb which was out of this world perfectly seassoned and seared with fresh mint parsley and dill with a nice cool creamy sauce. We got to try a new dessert not on menu, a white and black cookie which pay's homage to the chef's home in new york. A fluffy cookie with a pop of lemon zest, topped with half white frosting and half chocolate served with a side car of their espresso martini made with their own whiskey for dipping.
