“My family and I was there today to celebrate my mothers birthday, we ABSOLUTELY loved the food them ribs are to die for, however the memorable part was our server Tonya, I think I’m saying her name right, she was AMAZING I mean she engaged with my mom and son like if she was apart of the Family and THAT took us right away, the only downside was by the time we had received our drinks she was no longer our server which REALLY upset my mother, However the new server was nice she just wasn’t her,,, we LOVE the spot and enjoyed the whole atmosphere and my mother and Family DEFINITELY will be back we just hope that we run into that server Tonya again!!! “We ate here for the first time last night , it was packed but we were seated right away and they moved us over to be closer to heat with no issues whatsoever; our server Emily was super sweet and the hostess as well !!! “This was my first East/West African eating experience and it did not disappoint. The spices, were delicious and so tasty. Please do not be put off by the old building. It's like the old saying, "don't judge a book by it's cover." The only negatives and mind you they weren't the worst things in the world. The incense upon arrival was a little extra, but didn't burn the entire time, the dessert menu needs some tweaking, and there was a slight language barrier with our waitress in training; the owner arrived and that was resolved. The owner is so friendly and helpful as well as answering questions and giving us samples of their homemade hibiscus juice; amazing!“

“We are from out of town and came in late, trying to find some vegan friendly food but also good for my omnivore partner and it did not disappoint. Sunny greeted us and was friendly and personalizable during our entire dinner. We ordered the Mediterranean veggie wrap and salmon “omega 3” sandwich and it was amazing! The side of vegan Mac and cheese was one of the best vegan Mac I had. Prices were quite low for a restaurant these days, ranging around the $10-$15 range for an entree. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

The portions were abundant! Nobody beats their chicken for a large crowd. Everyone raved about it! And we were able to send lots of food home with our guests. “This was a very horrible dining experience we ordered there ribeye and added there bacon jam to steak when steak came out both were missing bacon jam the waiter took off before we could tell him finally got the bacon jam on side my steak was tasteless the salad maby had 5 sprigs of cheese on it garlic vegetables almost tasteless small portions when waiter brought our bill he held it in his hand not showing us and said I will take your payment my husband said can I see bill first lol oh ya and handed it to us 85.00 the steaks were 32 00 a piece the menu in restaurant said 27.00 and on line menu said they were 26 the waiter said inflation let me get manager who said the online menu was not there’s in one breath and in next breath said said he would let them know to change it and walked off we were from Illinois visiting ark encounter it was our anniversary so I will be sure to tell everyone in Illinois if they visit Don’t eat here and I scratched out tip on receipt I always leave an 18 to 20 percent tip but not today here’s your tip you are rude and outrageously priced“

They weren’t that busy yet we had to wave them down for refills, to order, to get a box (when we got their attention for a box it was another good 10 minutes b4 they arrived) and then had to get their attention to pay! The chili is of course authentic and is smooth in texture, similar to Empress for anyone who's had that before. But of course very different in texture from the likes of say Camp Washington Chili. I found it had a bit better taste than Empress. Them I wasn't a fan of, but I'd certainly come back here. Service was great, Angelo is still back there cooking, very impressive! It seems to be a very much casual local place, old fashioned in a way, all of which I really enjoyed. It is cash only, so be aware of that. All together I had a great experience. Great Cincinnati Chili for a great price, with great service and nice atmosphere, what more could you ask for!“

I haven't necessarily given them the best ratings in the past, I don't remember our server's name those times. Amber however will be unforgettable for the rest of my life and here's why. there were a couple of elderly couples that were seated after us, and she was very familiar with these people already, whereas we were not familiar with her at all. she handled each table differently, accordingly, no doubt with respect and love. heavy on both. I had to call and record a charge on my card and I was kind of holding my mom up and be able to order food and I felt bad because she was starving. somehow some way, Amber had our food out to us very quickly, cooked perfectly, absolutely everything the way that we ordered it. we didn't have to send anything back, we didn't have to ask for anything else extra to be brought to us, she even walked by after a few minutes and brought us extra napkins. I mean, super top notch service. quick, perfect. and that singing voice on that woman oh my god! I was a little reluctant to eat here today because my last few times eating here weren't necessarily the best experience, but I will be back for sure.“
