“I’ve always wanted to visit this place as in general l love driving through Ludlow as the neighborhood has a very rustic charm! So we decided to stop by for a couple of drinks on a Monday evening, we were amazed to find the bar was packed with regulars hanging out at the bar and the place had a very welcoming vibe! Mikey the bartender was friendly and fun to talk to and made great recommendations! Everyday of the week they have some specials, Monday night it was Modelo & Margaritas at $4, the sliders were great and so were the fries! There were a couple of owners with their dogs and apparently the dogs love visiting the bar for bacon(pet owners make a note). Absolutely fell in love with this tavern, it’s the perfect blend of fun, casual, cozy and has a great vibe!“

“I knew it would be a cool place when the door knobs were gas pumps. Everything was detailed down to the napkin rings. It lived up to its name for sure. The food was amazing! Our waitress Cozy, I can't say enough about her. She had the best personality, super sweet and when we had decided what we wanted she definitely told us about our choices, like how they are prepared, what they come with and if she had tried them herself. “If you're looking for a very good steakhouse with excellent quality food, great service, atmosphere, and affordable that's without the Jeff Ruby price tag, then I would recommend giving this establishment a try. It's a nice step up from your Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse chains. It's very reasonably priced for the food and service you receive. Everything on the menu that I have orderd has been excellent. So if you're looking for something more than your average chain steakhouse without dropping the high end steakhouse pricing, then I would recommend giving it a try.“

“This was a very horrible dining experience we ordered there ribeye and added there bacon jam to steak when steak came out both were missing bacon jam the waiter took off before we could tell him finally got the bacon jam on side my steak was tasteless the salad maby had 5 sprigs of cheese on it garlic vegetables almost tasteless small portions when waiter brought our bill he held it in his hand not showing us and said I will take your payment my husband said can I see bill first lol oh ya and handed it to us 85.00 the steaks were 32 00 a piece the menu in restaurant said 27.00 and on line menu said they were 26 the waiter said inflation let me get manager who said the online menu was not there’s in one breath and in next breath said said he would let them know to change it and walked off we were from Illinois visiting ark encounter it was our anniversary so I will be sure to tell everyone in Illinois if they visit Don’t eat here and I scratched out tip on receipt I always leave an 18 to 20 percent tip but not today here’s your tip you are rude and outrageously priced“

They weren’t that busy yet we had to wave them down for refills, to order, to get a box (when we got their attention for a box it was another good 10 minutes b4 they arrived) and then had to get their attention to pay! The food display at the Gourmand Group booth was both captivating and attractive. They offered a wide assortment of salads and some were vegan friendly. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. “we ate in today, my mother and i. our experience with our server, Amber was unlike any experience that we've had before I'm grateful. I haven't necessarily given them the best ratings in the past, I don't remember our server's name those times. Amber however will be unforgettable for the rest of my life and here's why. there were a couple of elderly couples that were seated after us, and she was very familiar with these people already, whereas we were not familiar with her at all. she handled each table differently, accordingly, no doubt with respect and love. heavy on both. I had to call and record a charge on my card and I was kind of holding my mom up and be able to order food and I felt bad because she was starving. somehow some way, Amber had our food out to us very quickly, cooked perfectly, absolutely everything the way that we ordered it. we didn't have to send anything back, we didn't have to ask for anything else extra to be brought to us, she even walked by after a few minutes and brought us extra napkins. I mean, super top notch service. quick, perfect. and that singing voice on that woman oh my god! I was a little reluctant to eat here today because my last few times eating here weren't necessarily the best experience, but I will be back for sure.“

The Caulisprouts were just about everyone’s favorite, but I got so many compliments on the pulled pork w/Tabasco slaw and the Greek wraps (it was a great vegetarian option)too!
