“I stopped and tried We Smokin today for the first time and I’m so happy I finally stopped the rib tips was AMAZING!!! Very flavorful and tender he even gave me a taste test and the sauce alone had me then for them to be so tender I had to order some!!!! 10/10 I can’t wait to try more of his items on the menu! “Gordo's is the kind of timeless place that makes visitors feel comfortable without making a big deal about it. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very good at their jobs; they seem to genuinely enjoy working there, and it shows.

The food is absolutely delicious and served in daunting portions. The burgers are the jaw-unhinging size (and shape) of baseballs, cooked beautifully and doctored up in amazing ways. Six out of seven of us chose different styles, and none of us were disappointed; I had Boursin and poblano, and I still regret that I couldn't finish that last bite. The lone holdout, my mother, ordered a chef's salad and raved about it, saying that it was the first she'd ever had that she honestly couldn't finish. My dad and I will testify that she did her best.

The only dessert listed at Gordo's is the Dessert of the Day. I asked our waitress whether it actually existed, or if they (rightly) assumed that no one would ever have room to order it. She said that they did (it was tiramisu that day), but most people who could still think about food ordered it to go. My teenager made a reflexive plea, but they were too full to put in real effort.

If we didn't live two states away, Gordo's would already be our family's regular place, and my fridge would already be stocked with the Dessert of the Day. As it is, we'll definitely be back whenever we visit Cincinnati.“

“Chat GPT had directed us here on Saturday the 4th. The food was great! My son and I each had the Salmon with Sweet Potato fries. We had both flown in from 2 different states for a couple of attractions. After the Salmon we finished off a huge slice of Carrot Cake. The best I have ever had. Annie M was very attentive, kind and had a very happy face. For everyone, actually. I just wanted to say how pleased and surprised we were with how good everything was. “We ate here for the first time last night , it was packed but we were seated right away and they moved us over to be closer to heat with no issues whatsoever; our server Emily was super sweet and the hostess as well !!! “This is my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. The service and food is always on point. I get the garden hash for breakfast and either the scallops or the mushroom pasta for dinner. I love the ambiance in there as well. They have a nice outdoor area and they have areas you can rent out for parties. Highly recommend.“

“I am admittedly not easily impressed, but my son and I had a great experience all around tonight for a quick bite. From the greeting when we walked in, our server Matthew and the food everything was spot on. Tables were being cleaned as people left, the bartenders were wiping down the station, the food came out hot and cooked properly, the employees having a genuine smile. I can honestly say that it was a better experience than I have had at some of the most high end expensive restaurants in Cincinnati. Keep up the great work! Thank you we will definitely be back.“

“Quite a fun and lovely evening. Wonderful atmosphere in vintage train cars from the 1940s and 50s. Railroad staff are in uniform and there is a great trio singing music from the time period. Service was friendly, efficient, and attended to our every need. The food was prepared on board the train and everything was very tasty! There is a full bar and several fun, themed cocktails. The route was great and offered some fantastic views. The conductor also provided some wonderful history along the route. I've been wanting to take the train for so many years, and I'm so glad I got the chance! Guests often dress in vintage clothing, so feel free to join in on the fun.“

“Stepping into The Lonely Pine is like being transported to an eclectic, chic, 70’s western in the absolute BEST way possible. We were each greeted at the host stand with a tasting of sparkling Cava. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef/Owner Maddy Sheblessy, which was very cool – I’ve heard so many good things & it was nice to finally meet her.

To start the meal, we shared the signature poutine. It has the perfect amount of heat & features local cheese curds. In between bites I sipped on the Dame Prue – the perfect summer cocktail (& everyone’s favorite Brit). For my entree I enjoyed the petite filet with horseradish cream (buttery soft with a little heat – perfection), my husband had the Route 66 Burger (neither of us are big fans of pimento cheese, but this burger changed our minds), & we shared the seasonal veg (rainbow chard – a nice, light accompaniment).

I eventually moved onto another cocktail – the on the grind martini – & was pleasantly surprised at the delicious coffee (not everywhere does it right!). We polished off the meal with the seasonal chef special – a dulce de leche tres leches cake – & My. Goodness. It’s impossible not to smile while you eat this. It’s indulgent, it’s decadent, & it was the perfect ending to our meal.“

“I went to Herb and Thelma’s for the first time. It did not disappoint. Very tasty, juicy burgers. Delicious sauerkraut. Manhattan to rival any other Manhattan from an upscale bar. We were seated - four adults looking to enjoy each other's company. Approximately 15 minutes after we sat down, the hostess sat a large party that included 5 toddlers. The noise level went through the ceiling. the entire restaurant was empty - or nearly so. What inspired the staff to sit this noisy bunch near us? We had just started eating making requesting a move very inconvenient to us.“
