“Update 7/24/2021.
Redeemed. Back to four stars. Perfect subs and fries. Hallelujah! Keep up the good work. I think the quality of the food corresponds to the age of the employees that are working. The gentleman that was working tonight made the perfect sandwiches and fries. The kids that usually work there seem to be the problem. They don't care about their jobs so they crank out bad quality. Thankfully someone actually knows what customer service is about at this location.
Update 5/28/2021.
I wish I could go with negative stars. This is the worst location for food quality. After almost 6 months I wanted to give them one more shot. It was a fail. If I just wanted a loaf of bread and nothing inside, I would have asked for exactly that. At leat THIS time the fries were on point. I will not be back.
Update 12/2/20.
Changed from 2 stars down to 1.
I will absolutely not be back to Penn Station. They skimp on the meat, the bread had gotten smaller/thinner, and the amount of fries they give is laughable, and undercooked. THIS IS NOT the Penn Station that I knew and used to love. Good luck.
Update. Got fries today, 9/4/20. They were not done and they were super soggy. Worst experience at a Penn Station ever. I doubt I'll be back. They seemed rushed for some reason.
Changed my rating from three stars down to two.
My original review, when they were usually good:
The sandwiches are usually pretty good. The consistency of the sandwiches vary form day to day. One day there's extra meat, other days there's hardly any meat, and one day there's just the right amount of meat on the sandwich. I'll raise my rating once I see there is consistency of how the food is made.“

“Fun fact: The restaurant was called “Pete's Super Submarines” because submarine sandwiches were the menu specialty. In 1966 DeLuca and Buck incorporated a company called Doctor's Associates. DeLuca later identified the doctor as Buck and the associate as himself.“

“The seat placements were cute and comfortable. There was a nice place in the corner with sunlight. I love that area. They have a large selection. I ordered a tuna wrap. They no longer use tortillas. They use a flat bread, which is more filling. I enjoyed recognizing the smiles my sandwich maker gave me. She was very sweet and nice to me and everyone else. Thanks for treating me with a bright smile and serving me with respect.“

“I've been there about 10 times so far. Above average speed, food quality, and reliability.
The go to sub shop in the area, and it can get crowded to prove it.
I will be back and would advise getting the app if you plan on going.
Try the Philly cheese steak 😋“
