“Yep, it used to be a Zaxby’s but in its second life as a Starbucks it is doing things well. Big spacious layout that has plenty of places to sit and even an area that has a long table and chairs like a meeting room almost. Modernized interior- so all that aside- the service for me was good (saw some reviews on it being slow). Maybe a hair slow, but even ordering at the counter it was less than 5 mins. Also it is super convenient off 64- so that’s a big plus if you need a quick pick-me-up while driving the highway.“

“I've eaten at a lot of different McDonald's in my day, in a lot of different towns. But I have to say this is my favorite McDonald's. The place was clean, everyone was friendly, the food was fresh & delicious and the manager even came out to check on us to make sure everything was going well. My whole group left happy & with a full belly. It's definitely worth visiting, & I'll definitely recommend this McDonald's to anyone. Thank you“

“The Paddock has meant so much to my daughter and me. It was a place we visited often, where we could hang out for a bit, have lunch or breakfast, play games or have a photo shoot and felt at home while doing so. It’s like the “Cheers” of Shelbyville and it has meant far more to Shelley Rose and me than I could ever fully put into words. As we prepare to move, I’ve been reflecting on this season of our lives, and one thing is crystal clear: God used this place—and the women in it—to leave a lasting mark on both of us. When I think of The Paddock, I think of steadiness. I think of warmth. I think of kindness. I think of compassion. I think of commitment. I think of a real and visible love for Jesus. And so much of that was carried so beautifully by Sam, Tanya, Haylee, and Valetta. Each of these women, in her own way, brought something powerful into our lives. Not loud. Not forced. Not performative. Just real. Faithful. Consistent. The kind of love that makes people feel safe. The kind of presence that helps people breathe. This season wasn’t easy for me in a lot of ways, and there were many days I was simply trying to make it through. But even in that, God surrounded my daughter with women who reflected His heart so clearly that even a four-year-old could feel it. And she did. They didn’t just “treat her nicely.” They loved her. They welcomed her. They were gentle with her. They made her feel seen. They made her feel safe. They made her feel like she belonged. As a father, that means everything. Shelley Rose is the most important part of my life. More than anything, I’ve wanted her to grow up around people who truly love Jesus and live that out in how they carry themselves and how they treat others. That is exactly what she found at The Paddock. Through their love and generosity, She saw what kindness looks like. She saw what compassion looks like. She saw what joy looks like. She saw what strong, gentle, God-fearing women look like. And whether they realize it or not, they helped shape her. At only four years old, Shelley Rose has become such a loving, tender, joyful little light. She hugs with her whole heart. She loves people genuinely. She cares deeply. She is expressive, kind, and so full of life. And I truly believe the women at The Paddock helped nurture that. They helped protect the softness in her. They helped strengthen the confidence in her. They helped reinforce the love of Jesus in her. That is not a small thing. That is legacy-level impact. One of the most beautiful things is the way they each carry themselves—with grace, strength, humility, and sincerity. There is a steadiness in them that can only come from walking with Jesus. There is a warmth in them that makes people feel at home. Children notice that. Shelley Rose noticed that. She has been watching what faith looks like in real life, and she has seen it in them. So from the deepest part of my heart—thank you, The Paddock. Thank you for being a place of love and safety. Thank you for the women who serve there and pour into others so selflessly. Thank you, Sam, Tanya, Haylee, and Valetta, for the kindness, compassion, and generosity you showed my daughter. Thank you for helping shape who she is becoming. Thank you for loving her so well. As we leave, please know this: your impact is lasting. What you have poured into Shelley Rose and me will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We will never forget The Paddock, we will never forget the women who made it feel like home, and when we can, we’ll be back to visit. With love and gratitude, Brent & Shelley Rose“

“I come to this location a lot because it’s a good midway point for a drive I make often. The employees are very nice and I’ve never had a bad drink here. Every time they’re not sure about the specifics of something they ask me while they’re preparing it. I don’t like to get iced drinks with whipped cream and some of the special lattes have little toppings and they always make sure I do or do not want those omitted as well before they add it. Very considerate.“

“I love this little coffee shop. There’s extra parking out back, wheelchair accessible (except the bathroom maybe with the small step), wonderfully friendly staff, and EXCELLENT drinks and sandwiches. I especially like the caramel protein shake with espresso shots. This place feels calm, friendly, clean, and is a super place to leisurely reset from a busy day. The prices are great too and there’s a variety of merch to purchase from local folks. They close around 2:30 so plan to visit early. There’s also a small gathering room at the back that can be reserved.“
