“We just moved to Union a few months ago and after trying several other local Chinese restaurants and being disappointed we decided to give this one a try. I'm so happy we did! Their online ordering process is very user friendly, and on the times we have gone in to place our order the staff has been kind and accommodating. The food has been consistent and delicious every time! This is now the only place we go for Chinese food!“

I'd order this and have it overighted if I lived in California. Its literally the BEST general tso, chicken and broccoli, s/s chicken I've ever had.
The rice tends to run a skidge dry, but if you like the sauce, man... it's outstanding.
I can't say enough about the perfect tenderness of their vegetables. It's WILD. Like, 5 star broccoli. I've had lesser at Lomghorn.
Love this place. Reasonable. Portions are normal to large (containers are always over-stuffed), it's always SO FRESH and HOT that we have to wait to eat even after driving to get it.
Can't say enough good.

ATMOSPHERE:
I never eat inside. Iit's small, but lovely. Smells good, nice lighting.
NOT FULL SERVICE, so, don't expect that.

“Got Bourbon chicken, egg roll and some dumplings for later. The atmosphere is alright, nothing fancy but not the ugliest or worse looking place I've been in, very quite. It's hard to rate service since that can change day by day but for me I waited over 30 minutes to get any of my food (only 1 person ahead of me) and the lady taking my order was very nice. For the food; the dumplings where very good, the egg roll was a lot smaller than what I was expecting but pretty much what you'd expect and the rice was good too. The bourbon chicken was tender and delicious however I would have perfered more sauce on it or it swimming in it as it was a bit dry and needed it. All in all out of all the Chinese restaurants I've had this one would make the top 10 but not my top 5.“

“I want to personally thank the wonderful people at Cathay Kitchen for accommodating the students and families of my martial arts school for our annual banquet. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and very helpful in setting this up. To say the food was delicious is an understatement! “My girlfriend and I came here as we live down the street. We had crab rangoons and spring rolls for appetizers. She had beef fried rice with sauce and I had the sesame chicken. The people there were attentive and polite. The food was all great. We got it very fast and fresh. Very good portions and flavor. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint and a pleasure. “The food here is different compared to other Chinese resturants. There is a sign right when you come in making claims on freshness, and quality and I have to agree. Solid portions and the food is always yummy and quite frankly the best fried rice I have had in a long time!“

“Red Pepper is our favorite Chinese spot in Florence. My family eats there for dinner every Wednesday! The food is great and the servers are very helpful. We've had the odd issue every now and then of getting the wrong food, but the staff is always good about it.“

“We used to eat here a lot more than we do now due to kids and their food allergies, but we still have it about once a month when we find time to eat alone. We have been coming for years and have never had an issue! We're creatures of comfort and usually pick between the sweet and sour chicken, bourbon chicken, sesame chicken, and general tso's chicken (mild because I'm a wimp). I always get pork egg rolls and the lo mein. We get carryout, which usually takes 15-20 minutes unless you get bourbon chicken, which takes 30(?), and the food is still hot and fresh when we get home. Great experience for us EVERY time. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant sooner.“

“This is a great place to get authentic Chinese food the staff is actually from China so they cook really good food and it's not overprised.. I have actually been coming here for years it's a good little spot and if you wanna sit and eat it's usually not that crowded they mainly do take out and drive-through.“

“I go here about once a week. There aren't many asian buffets in the nky/cincinnati area. I've been to most of them and this by far is the best one around. If you get there around dinner switch time the food is always hot and fresh. Love the fact that they have frog legs on the dinner buffet as well. There regular take-out menu is even better than the buffet if you want a combo or dinner to go. Definitely recommend.“

The menu offered a delightful variety of authentic Chinese dishes, making it tough to choose. I opted for the garlic chicken, of which was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The spice levels were just right, adding an exciting kick without overpowering the dish. The crab rangoons were amazing also.

“Tasty Chinese buffet! Great variety. I especially love the cream cheese wantons. The decor is Chinese themed. I noticed storage boxes in a few places, some on the floor by a few walls, it would be more professional if they weren't visible to customers. Our server was nice and attentive, especially to my 18-month-old daughter. The price is good!“
