“As a fellow restaurant, owner, out of state and many miles away, there is so much that I appreciate about our visit to Solomon‘s Porch. Friendly staff, excellent food, great atmosphere. And we had the opportunity to meet the owners, Tim and Erin, and could see in that short visit time, that their love for their community in which they have immersed themselves, is the driving force behind why they do business there. They live the people in Wilmore, just like we do in our own little café, Downtown D’Lites, in Kilgore, Texas! Our experience with lunch yesterday and then breakfast today, and even meeting my brother Dave, who is also on a road trip from Oklahoma, was a great stop on the way to our New Jersey destination!“

“Had a fantastic time/meal. We ordered the filet mignon, which is the best compared to any steakhouse I've ever been.
The Thai salad they have is superb to add.
Our server Carly was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very helpful. We were also greeted by the manager Alan, who was kind enough to come and say hello. Love seeing a restaurant ambiance with its staff so intertwined for the dining experience. “My family and a hand full of our friends have had our last few Sunday breakfasts at Trustees's Table. The buffet is really amazing. More than that, I want to say from the hostess, to the servers, the ones who prepared the food, and the managers, are a delight. Full of kindness, making accommodations when we had some extras join us at the last minute. The building is filled with wonderful people. Back to the ones who prepared the food. “Shakers Village of Pleasent Hill is off the beaten path. When you get down into the Village you are stopped and asked were your part of the Village you came to see. When you park your car,and enter the Village there is quite silent sound. You hear the birds flap their wings. You hear the creek waters roll over the rocks. You smell clean forest pine trees. “I go to Roosters often; I have great times there, from the good food to the great atmosphere. The wooden booths, quirky signs, and numerous TVs make it a great place for people to relax and have a good time. A good way to pass the time while I’m waiting for my food is to watch a football game or play the occasional trivia they have on sometimes. On my last visit, I came with my friend and boyfriend, and we had a great time eating a variety of food and being served by an excellent waiter who was friendly and efficient. When it comes to our food, Roosters never goes wrong with their curly fries and boneless wings. The wings were perfectly crisp, and the hot sauce is always top tier. The atmosphere is what brings it all together, from groups to families and friends to people just sitting at the bar. It is always cheerful and full of life every time I come here. I would say that Roosters delivers a perfect balance of good food and fun, and it's always a pleasure to go, so I plan to keep coming back many times after.“

“My mom and her fiancé drove in from Gulf Shores, AL to attend my son’s (her grandson’s) college graduation from UK. I was able to book them 2 night at the Clarion for the event. After Saturday’s commencement, we wanted to celebrate. My mom and her fiancé were so impressed with Sedona Taphouse from the previous evening, that they treated us to an early dinner along with some drinks there. It was amazing from the appetizers to the drinks to the entrees. Our server was a delight, but we also had the pleasure of meeting the GM, Ben as he came over to not only check on us, but to shake my son’s hand and personally congratulate him on his achievement. He really made a big deal about his accomplishment and even went as far to pay for his meal, drinks and dessert. So unexpected! Ben went above & beyond and that food and atmosphere was outstanding. We frequent Lexington often, I’ve found my new spot for lunch or dinner. Thank you Ben!! We can’t thank you enough for making Mason’s special day even more memorable.“

“Planet Thai did not just serve dinner. It staged a quiet intervention. The chicken salad arrived with the confidence of someone who has already read your diary and decided to fix your life anyway. Crisp, bright, and so unexpectedly good that I briefly considered applauding like I was at a graduation.

The drunken noodles were their own situation. Warm, rich, and carrying the kind of slow building spice that whispers “you are stronger than you think” while also reminding you that you are absolutely not. I saved some for later which was an act of discipline I will brag about for years.

The environment felt like a meditation retreat that accidentally learned how to cook. Calm, quiet, peaceful. The kind of room where your nervous system finally stops pacing. The staff matched the vibe perfectly. Friendly, fun, and so knowledgeable that I trusted them immediately, which is not something I do often or easily.

Final thought: Planet Thai is the restaurant equivalent of a friend who speaks softly but still manages to change your entire evening. And yes, I will be back, mostly because the noodles told me to.“

It is no accident that you feel surrounded by Kentucky history, agriculture and the arts when you enter any of her establishments. The food is no exception. While she could not possibly be in all restaurants at the same time, she selects the best team members to represent her vision and values. We loved every part of our experience at Honeywood. Food: creamy grits and polenta, slow cooked greens, risotto, local beef and quail, fresh seasonal vegetables, crispy country ham, deviled eggs stuffed with lump crab???? AND those damn sweet potato beignets!!! Never disappoint. service is top notch, without all the fanfare of a fine dining restaurant. Wine list and craft cocktails are legit. Anything goes and we felt comfortable in fancy duds and blue jeans with a T-shirt (which you can purchase in any of her places as well as her cookbook). “The environment was neat and our server was really friendly and helpful. The restroom needed to be cleaned and there were at least 4 employees standing around talking/on their phones during our visit.
We received complimentary seafood bread and it was really tasty. Our food was served quickly and hot. We ordered the fried catfish po’boy, fried gator po’boy, and a seafood boil (snow crab legs, lobster tail, corn, potatoes, crab house cajun, mild). The seafood boil was flavorful, the fried catfish was ok, the gator was good but not enough to fill the bread, and the hushpuppies were really good.
I recommend this restaurant if you like seafood.“

“My dad and i went to get a nacho kit. As soon as we walked in, there was no kind of greeting so I initiated one. Then comes the order. It's like no one knew what we were talking about. After a few minutes they figured it out. A young man that seemed to be the manager on shift had a horrible attitude, not personable and is just not where he needs to be serving people if that is how his attitude is. We got extra meat. He was sure to tell us it would be extra which is common sense. We knew it would be. He was sure to ask the sweet girl at the register if we paid for the extra. We all 3 said yes and he tore the receipt off the machine and checked it twice. I understand some people are like that to not pay for what they order, but to be treated that way after spending what we did there was absolutely ridiculous. I was embarrassed to even be there. The food was good, we enjoyed it. So for that I'll give 5 stars. Shame on the young man for being so rude. You need a new job.“

“First things first: Cheng’s is a wonderful restaurant with a gig-delivery OR customer pick up model and no seating for diners. We prefer to pick ours up which gives us a couple of minutes to enjoy the fragrances wafting out of their kitchen. The food is well prepared, fresh, and well packaged for the drive home. The counter service is polite and efficient. The parking is easy (they also have a drive-through pick up window). If you go pick up a paper menu to make ordering easier the second time. FYI, the five stars for atmosphere is because the waiting area is comfortable, clean and smells delicious.“

“They have wonderful gluten free bagels but they only offer them on Saturdays and Sundays (bc why would people with gluten intolerance want to eat on other days?) and even though you’ve had to wait all week for one, you can’t get them after 10am usually bc they have sold out (bc why would people with gluten intolerance want to sleep in on a weekend?) Perhaps look into increasing your quantity??? If they’re sold out every day before 10 they’re obviously in demand“

“During the 2026 ice storm Chili’s was about the only place open. They were extremely short staffed and this location’s manger (Reagan) was AMAZING. She had the all restaurant laughing, and happy. I think she was waiting tables, cooking, and a bartender all at the same time. Give that young woman a RAISE!!!“
