So I ordered a peach cobbler shake and pulled around but then saw the person making it. She handled that machine like it was sifting gold and what came out was a delicious shake with actual peach cobbler in it! The people there clearly know how to make good food and were even courteous to me even though I was clearly staring. Good shake would do it again.“

“Just happened to pull in here on a bum clock, like 1300. The parking lot appeared to have been carpet bombed like (insert least offensive war, God bless our troops, thank you for my freedom) and the building, not much better but the ladies inside had a very nice pot roast open face sammich, mash and even though I ordered beans, Mac and cheese. Literally took 3 minutes, was exceptionally good so aint care. Dinner. I order a bacon cheeseburger with everything, mayo ketchup and onion rings. I get this 3" thick, mibees 5" with bun cheeseburger with the bacon substituted for another patty and everything else as ordered. AINT MAD! Also, bold statement: I'll put these onion rings up against any in the country. Don't change a thing about this place. Ever.“

“Always a great spot for some southern food. Local for us but I recommend it to anyone passing through the area. A lot of history at the restaurant. We always visit while camping nearby at the Boonesborough state park campground. This time, we enjoyed a Sunday brunch and it was great. Service was good but they got busy really quick so the wait staff got stretched thin. If the weather is nice, sit outside to get the most of the atmosphere!“
