“Second time I come. First time they had some very delicious pork rind taquitos. This second time they didn't have them. They explained to me that sometimes they have them on Fridays. But I arrived in the morning and the very kind person in charge told him that they should have egg breakfast taquitos with whatever, and he didn't even think about it. “The food here is so good! We have ordered here about a dozen times but although the food is good the wrap size has been much smaller than it normally is. This is the third time in a row it’s been much smaller so we won’t be ordering again. Wish y’all the best!“

“Stopped in today for lunch. Had the Mexicano Burrito. Was pretty good overall - it did have a very nice spice / flavor at the beginning but it tapered off to be a little more neutral. Perhaps it was a sauce or seasoning that was a little unevenly distributed. It, along with the beans and the rice were fairly standard for the local mexican restaurants, not standing above nor below anything else. Tortilla chips were more of a standout. Fairly thick and not prone to breakage with a light seasoning appearing on some. Salsa was thick and stuck well. Service was great - friendly and attentive. It's proximity to my work makes it a repeat lunch stop for sure. Solid choice if you're in the area.“
“Wonderful Mexican fare with exceptional service. The tacos are great and they come in a variety of styles--beef. grilled chicken, shredded chicken, hard shell, soft shell or a combo of all. The tamale plate is good and spicy. The best waitress there is Michelle who always serves with a smile! Go on Tuesdays for cheap tacos.“

The ceviche was wonderful the fish was fresh and the lime juice was absolutely perfect. If you get the Mexican burger be careful it is MASSIVE. “Look at their menu online before you go in, be prepared to speak Spanish. Do the best you can, and you'll be rewarded with the most delicious food around. Take it to-go so you don't moan in the sitting area once you take a bite.It's not hard to use Google translate, or at least try. Go in refusing to speak any Spanish and you'll likely not be served. “Amanda, our server, is so sweet, nice and adorable! She always makes sure we have what we need and is prompt and punctual! At the beginning of the meal my dad said he would like a sweet tea to-go after our meal, we didn’t even have to tell Amanda twice! “La Carreta has been a staple in Ponchatoula and Hammond for some time and their food is always hot and delicious. They are able to accommodate our family of 8 and their service is always excellent. I especially love when they have the live music as well!“
“Their Face Book says open 7 days a week but came all the way to Hammond on Sunday to find no truck. Also found out they are not open on Monday either. They should change their FB and Google hours of operation.The steak Street Tacos were d@mn delicious,Steak Burritos very goodCow tongue Burrito was also excellent (but they (sadly) put less tongue meat than they do the steak burrito).Will definitely be my go to for authentic Mexican food.“
