“Nice and small little shop right behind Lorde's walk in clinic in Breaux Bridge. It has the best daiquiri's. The waitress was amazing and made a wonderful suggestion. They also have a couple of slot machines to keep a person entertained. I highly recommend the place to everyone interested.“

The food was ready for the time I was given for pickup, which is a plus l, considering I’m on the clock still. We all enjoyed our different lunches very much. The flavors were absolutely on point!!“

“I was traveling from Las Vegas to Florida. I was just in the mood for some delicious duck. Whiskey and vine came recommended. As soon as I walked in the door, I knew I was in the correct place. Perfect wine to match my exquisite dish for dinner. I still think about it to this day. I remember it was raining heavy outside, and on inside it just felt like cinema. I hope one day I return back so I can enjoy another dish. Anything that has to do with duck I strongly recommend. I also tried the lump crabcakes, it was OK. I think it was overshadowed by how good the duck meal was. Still, I recommend this place to anyone you will not be disappointed.“

“Wow, the service was top tier! My husband and I were blown away by the warmth, hospitality, enthusiasm and experience shown by our server, Makiah. She gave us great recommendations for our apps and entrees. She paid special attention to my gluten free preference and made sure that I got exactly what I asked for. She spoke highly about her boss and colleagues. You can tell that she thoroughly enjoys working there. Our dining experience was pleasant all the way throughout. Food was good but didn’t seem “original” to a place of this caliber. Prices are decent in this day and age at a place like this but the service… If you ain’t a local you get third rate service. The bartender disappears when I wanted to order food and my next drink. When she was there she had good recommendations and was polite but after I get a drink she would go associate with the locals and not pay one bit of attention. There is plenty of TV’s here for the game viewing.“

“I was passing through town on my way from Houston to Jackson Mississippi and I stopped for gas in Lafayette, feeling pretty tired from driving and wanting to take a break and honestly I just needed a quick drink because I was on my way to a funeral and I was really stressed out with work and family and all that stuff leading up to this trip. So I’ve never even been to Lafayette but I stumbled upon this place after searching for a small bar were I could have a quiet drink and stretch my legs so I decided to give it a try. The people here were so nice and welcoming to a complete stranger who walked in late at night. I got to hear a lot of the local’s stories and learned some history about Lafayette and it was just over great. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in but I’ll never forget this awesome little place and how kind they were. I felt a lot better after leaving and I’ll definitely stop again one day when I’m passing through Louisiana again.“

“The Barrel is one of our go-to spots in Broussard! We always have a good time, the drinks are great, and everyone is always so friendly. And I have to give a special shoutout to their Cosmo because it is seriously my favorite Cosmo in the Acadiana area. 🍸 I’ve tried plenty of them, and The Barrel just gets it right every time!

“Let me tell yall something, I love this place! I have been going here for the last few years and the service has always been great with friendly bartenders working hard while having fun as well. It's one of the few bar/clubs where I feel comfortable.
Music is what I've noticed hasn't quite changed in the last few years. I definitely recommend an upgrade and even some guest DJs would be awesome!

“I know this place very well! My girlfriend's Landlord, Mr John owns this bar and it's certainly a staple in Lafayette. Great live music on the weekends and a cool kind of local new Orleans vibe to the bar during the week days. Must check it out! Hope to see ya there!

“Really enjoyed this place on our first night in Lafayette after dinner. The bartender was very friendly, despite dealing with an unruly, obnoxious customer. She was able to mix some of the margarita with the strawberry daiquiri for my husband, which was very tasty.

I tried the witches brew, which was amazing. She allowed us to try samples of the premixed stuff. And I appreciate her honesty with the everclear in a couple of them. I ended up getting a mix of the margarita and blue raspberry octane, to cut it down a bit.

Overall, it looks like they could make just about any drink (assuming) that you ask for. But the daiquiris were very good. And it was cool that there's a drive thru.“

“This place has a laidback environment. Something like the sitcom Cheers. They serve people from all walks of life but mostly blue collar workers. You can dress up or dress down it doesn't matter the owner makes you feel right at home. One of the best night to go is Thursdays. There is a D/J that plays till 2am and you can dance all night long. Thats why they call it swing out city.“
