“My son and I stopped here for dinner when we were on the road. The food was simple but tasty, and didn't take long to arrive. The staff were super attentive and friendly. Would stop here again!
Parking: Decent number of parking spaces compared to the seating area in the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: My kids are older now, but this is the sort of restaurant where I would have felt welcome taking them when they were younger.“

“Stopped by for the first time after a UL game last night. Food was awesome but what really made the stop was the Manager ,Joe. Joe was very friendly talked with us for about 15 minutes, very professional you could tell he enjoys his job. KOK, give this man a raise or promote him to GM because I can guarantee you are not going to find a more dedicated partner, or worker than this man. WAY TO GO JOE!!!“

“I like the store but my friend was behind someone at the food counter and they served them but didn't come help my friend. It's like they just were to busy to help. We were only ones in the business n there were 2 people standing behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. I won't even stop at that Go Bears again. I might stop at the one across the street like I usually do, maybe! ?“

“Went in to eat in the restaurant and the wait was terrible, however when the food was finally ready it made the wait 100% worth it. I would highly recommend going eat there. The waitress her service was fantastic, Very friendly made me feel at home.“

“Hidden gem in Lafayette! I’m from out of town and had to cater a picnic lunch for our traveling soccer team. I stumbled upon Joey’s and I’m so glad I did! Food and service was over the top. Mr. Joey himself helped me carry out my order. The market is amazing, I wish I could’ve stayed longer to shop! Well done!“

You have a front row seat around the giant kitchen area. You see your meals prepare right in front you every time.
The wine is selected just for the meals. From appetizers to entree, dessert and coffee… it is terrific.
The store has one of the best selections of great cookware of any place shopped.

“We went to Mel’s on Johnston St. this past Saturday. It was busier than usual but there was a visiting football team and their supporters in town. The crowd was loud, but everyone seemed happy. The food came out hot and was very fast! The food and the service was excellent! We love Mel’s and had another great experience!“

“This was the third time I’ve been to Piccadilly in the last 30 days. I’ve eaten something different each time and each time, the meal was delicious. I’m so pleased to have re-discovered the restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, the restaurant was clean and the staff was helpful and very friendly. Don’t forget to tip for picking up your many plates and cleaning your table. I’ll be back soon!“

“So glad to see how well this lovely little gem of a location is being managed. Hadnt been here in almost 12 years. “I absolutely love the chocolate and strawberry milkshake with whipped cream on top. And they open 24 hours so I can stop by and get me a milkshake even if it's 3 am. Employees are always friendly. When you oder a burger you do have to wait a Lil while bc they cook to order, so burger is freshly cooked and ? hot (temperature wise.)“

“Looked for a sit down crawfish boiler between Ville Platte and Lafayette that was boiling for lunch on a Saturday. Cankton Cafe was one of the few sit down places open and boiling. The place was easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the crawfish seasoning and quality was above average. Definitely a small town restaurant worth taking a detour for.“
