“Looked for a sit down crawfish boiler between Ville Platte and Lafayette that was boiling for lunch on a Saturday. Cankton Cafe was one of the few sit down places open and boiling. The place was easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the crawfish seasoning and quality was above average. Definitely a small town restaurant worth taking a detour for.“

“The Hive Burger: The incredibly fresh meat was perfectly complimented by the juicy red tomatoes,crisp lettuce, and pickles so fresh they were almost cucumbers! It has been a long time since I’ve had a hamburger that tasted like somebody put effort into it with vegetables that could have been used for a salad instead of hidden between buns. Also, don’t skip on the chocolate chip cookie!“

Most mom and pop coffee shops are very frugal when it comes to strength, but not Cafe Maison! I got a caramel iced latte, and my boyfriend got a vanilla latte. They both have bold coffee flavors. Not burnt or bitter, but you can also taste the vanilla and caramel too. I typically order coffee without sweetener because it’s just too sweet, but I couldn’t give an honest review without changing up the norm. The vibe of the cafe is so homey. We were comfortable enough to make ourselves at home on one of the sofas while we waited. There is a little library that had a decent selection of books. There were many genres to choose from. The restaurant was really clean, and the bathrooms didn’t disappoint either! We were overcharged, but had zero idea until the gentleman working brought us change back and let us know that he had made a mistake. We would’ve never thought twice about the charge. I really wish that I could pack this little cafe up and take it home with me, but since I can’t, we will be back again the next time that we are in the area!“

“My husband and I went for jazz tonight!!! It was our first time and it was amazing! Our waitress Anna was very nice and engaged with us about what we like and suggested certain things. We tried many different drinks called Hot sauce, Chantilly, Expresso martini, dirty classic martini!! All are top notch drinks. The food was great!! We had the fried chicken and gravy, crawfish sauce croissants and fish tops with crawfish sauce on top of fries. We will be back!! This is a hidden gem. Don’t miss out! I also had a spiked ice cream yum“

“Such a different place these days. An absolute 180 since Berry owned this place. I haven't been to Artmosphere in years because of it, but I can honestly say that the whole place now is a vibe. The new owner is obviously putting his entire heart and soul to not only the establishment but also to customer service and concern.

“I recently visited Panera Bread and had a great experience! I absolutely loved the Chicken Avocado Melt. The combination of tender chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheese was perfect. I also tried The Feisty One, and it was amazing! The flavors were bold, and it had just the right amount of spice.

For soups, I had the Onion Soup, which wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was still decent for the price. The Chicken & Wild Rice Soup was comforting and flavorful.

Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was great, and the pricing felt reasonable for the quality. Definitely a spot I’d visit again!“
