“Well it appears they are understaffed! But what Im Assuming is corporate has applied these POS systems to eliminate staff and lower spending on their end. The over all experience wasn't that bad, they only had three ppl total and the line was long even though they do not have to directly take a customers order in the dinning area it's still overwhelming to have to handle everything! If you've never worked in this type of settings you wouldn't understand! I do infact and honestly they did a great job keeping up!!! They all three need A raise and shame on corporate for their failed attempts to save a dollar! Staff were nice store was clean and it took awhile for the food but with me and my understanding that was ok I get it!!! Hats off to the night crew they did great job considering“

“No doubt, these are the best carne asada tacos in town. The meat is grilled perfectly, and the tortillas are soft but sturdy. You can really taste the quality ingredients.“

“I’m moving far away from this city and will probably never return, but yet I feel inclined to leave a review of this place because it’s THAT good. Some of my guests complained that their food was soggy or under seasoned, but I've heard the Cameron location is better in that regard. I'd definitely go here again!“

The menu is not extensive, but the food was served quickly - especially given how busy they were on a Friday night - and the entres were steaming hot.\nSpeaking of hot…I don’t have the best tolerance for spicy, and one taste of their salsa was all I could handle! It. Was. SPICY. At least to my taste buds.\nPrices were average. No alcohol at all is served, but you can BYOB.\nAn added bonus - there was a roadrunner hanging out near a cactus in the parking area. It kept running back and forth in front of the seating area. That was fun!“

“I've been following El Hidalguense Mexican Restaurant for a while now. And decided today I wasn't going to Lafayette again without trying it. I had the Enchilada Mixta con Cecina and my wife had the Birria Tacos. Amazing food! I have a hard time describing how delicious our meals were. But, we're definitely going back! The owner was so friendly, checking on us making sure we were enjoying our food. Our server was very helpful picking out our food since it was our first visit. This is definitely a hidden gem with authentic, fresh Mexican food.“

“The service was great. The food came out fairly quick and was delicious. I had the papusas, one with pork and cheese and one with bean and cheese, comes with coleslaw and ranchero sauce, it was the best thing I've had at any mexican restaurant. I swear someone's Mexican grandma is back there cooking. Highly recommend.“

As a former manager at Izzo’s, I understand the importance of professionalism, portion control, and customer care—and Kashawn excelled in all areas. He was polite, professional, and efficient, demonstrating the kind of leadership potential any business would value.

Although there was about a five-minute wait to reach the counter, I know this is common in a fast-casual setting, and Kashawn made up for it with prompt service once I ordered. “My wife and I went during the week after the lunch rush, and it was fantastic! I have only ever gone during the busier dinner rushes, and they are absolute champions of service at those times, but it was so nice to enjoy during the quieter time as well (by no means was the place empty). It was an opportunity to see the artistry and architecture styles on the walls of a landmark restaurant that I've been to since a child( now 45). The service was quick and courteous. The food tastes like the best first date you have ever had.“

“Located next to a washateria and a sketchy gas station so you might come across some wild boys while ordering but this is my favorite taco truck in Lafayette. Never knew I needed tripe tacos in my life until I ate these. Amazing. Also, the birria tacos are incredible.“

“I have a very busy 4 year old adhd/autistic daughter And had been travelling for hours.
I was the only one in the restaurant and because my daughter is very busy doesn't communicate well. I don't bring her in a lot of places But because it was empty I thought It would be ok..
Everyone Was nice and I let the front desk Workers know that she doesn't sit still very much. And then I would put her in the corner where she wouldn't bother anyone...
Someone They're with the ability to Control the noise (radio) I can only assume had some kind of knowledge of children that are not "normal"..
Someone turned the radio down and My daughter seemed to settle a bit more..
