“Delicious plate, a large fried fish filet, 4 fried shrimp and 2 mini crab cakes with green salad, roll and cookie. Everything was yummy and for $11.00 it was a great value. I wish it was dine in, but I know the struggle to get waitstaff makes for it's own set of problems. Give them try you will be happy you did.“

“We were staying at The Fairfax BnB and Debbie recommended The Forrest Restaurant for dinner. We ordered Fried Shrimp and Oysters and they were perfectly fried and delicious! Dessert was Mississippi Mud Cake...yum! I ordered a Vodka Tonic from bar and the tonic was flat but other than that everything was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive.“

There were so many food options available and the lunchtime clientele was comprised of local residents. Everyone knew everyone else there and it was packed! The food was fantastic, served quickly, unpretentious, and made with love! Everything we ordered was amazing! I ordered the lunch special of a 1/2 shrimp po’boy sandwich and the chicken and sausage gumbo. We also I had the gator bite appetizer, which was incredible!
