“Their paninis are so good! Ask for recommendations- they will give them to you! But this coffee. It’s HEAVENLY! Most mom and pop coffee shops are very frugal when it comes to strength, but not Cafe Maison! I got a caramel iced latte, and my boyfriend got a vanilla latte. They both have bold coffee flavors. Not burnt or bitter, but you can also taste the vanilla and caramel too. I typically order coffee without sweetener because it’s just too sweet, but I couldn’t give an honest review without changing up the norm. The vibe of the cafe is so homey. We were comfortable enough to make ourselves at home on one of the sofas while we waited. There is a little library that had a decent selection of books. There were many genres to choose from. The restaurant was really clean, and the bathrooms didn’t disappoint either! We were overcharged, but had zero idea until the gentleman working brought us change back and let us know that he had made a mistake. We would’ve never thought twice about the charge. I really wish that I could pack this little cafe up and take it home with me, but since I can’t, we will be back again the next time that we are in the area!”

“So this was my first time trying anyyyyy crawfish in St.Landry parish. I will start with the pros. PROs: friendly staff, decent price, decent size for the early season( ofc they will be smaller this early in the season) good flavor & fresh/hot crawfish. Now for my CONs: I had a few crawfish that had grey meat… I’m not sure if they were dead prior to being boiled, but I didn’t want to take a chance & eat it, that good flavor I mentioned in the pros… well it wasn’t in all of the crawfish, the ones that were missing that good ole flavor were pretty bland, out of the 3lbs I tried I would have to say 20% wasn’t seasoned. My last con is that a few of them that I ate still taste a little muddy in my opinion, it kind of ruin my overall experience b/c I would be eating them back to back & then suck the body of one that taste so dirty. Overall I would recommend this place, I would give it a solid 7/10.”

The fried chicken is like no other, and the huge biscuits are homemade. It’s a no brainer every time we come here to visit family we always go to Sunny’s.”

“Stopped in at Java Square Cafe after runnin errands in town and it turned out real nice. Coffee was hot and smooth, not burnt, and the pastry I grabbed tasted fresh like it just come out the oven. Place is cozy and clean, folks behind the counter were friendly and didn’t mind I walked in with work boots. For a small spot the prices felt fair, I’d sure swing back in for another cup.”

“Every month, I drive the 216 miles from Houston, Texas down I-10 to Scott, Louisiana to Billy's. Food as always is good and Excellent Customer Service. This month, I decided to have Billys for Thanksgiving Dinner. I ordered what I always order, a dozen of pepper jack balls, a dozen of pepper jack wraps, a dozen of links and this time, I added a dozen of shrimp 🍤 boudain balls. So far so smooth, except today it was super packed at 8 o'clock in the morning when its always empty the previous months I have visited for years. Plus, a Louisiana State Trooper accosted me on I-10 heading back to Texas. I wish yall would open up a location in Texas because my days of driving through Louisiana are limited now especially with those crowds and Louisiana State Troopers hounding me. Sorry. Excellent food and Customer Service though. 😎”

“About a year ago I had to come through for my grandmother's funeral and as we were leaving town we were starving. We walked in right as they were closing and while they had every right to refuse they stayed open just a little longer for my wife and I get to a shrimp poboy so we could eat before we got back on the road. It was the absolute best shrimp poboy I've ever eaten. I've chasing that dragon ever since. You owe it to yourself to eat here.”

“First time visiting today, 7/10/23 and so glad we did! I had the Tony Chachere on Focaccia an d my sister hand the Marilyn Monroe. We both loved them! I’ve never had Focaccia bread so soft and delicious before. It was very hard to choose from all the wonderful sandwiches and I’d definitely go back again next time I come back home to Louisiana for visit.”
