“Absolutely Delicious!!! 100 stars given ‼️ I’ve been eating at Jan’s since they were located in the back of Lafitte.. New Restaurant & Owners now but the down home cajun authenticity is still there! Incredibly Amazing Cajun Cuisine… Jordan and his team have figured the secret sauce to success here..My name is Keith Adams w Adams Air Condition & Heating Services and we’ve been working on the Lafitte Museum and Civic Center over the past month and I have personally eaten here, probably about a dozen times. I brought my crew here and I actually brought a friend with me once. We have sampled almost the entire menu and if anybody knows me, you know I like to eat and you know, I know good food, will this place has good eats and absolutely delicious food if you’re coming from upfront, New Orleans or even Livingston Parish where I live at now it’s worth the drive literally less then five minutes over the Rosethorn bridge on the left and you’re there❗️I personally guarantee you will not be disappointed and I dropped my name and my business name up top so you know this ain’t no cap.‼️“

“The food was excellent, homestyle cooking. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, interacted well with customers, and they provided excellent service, everytime I visited the restaurant. It is very family welcoming. The place is very clean. Can complete with any restaurant all round.

“I tried this place for dinner after a disappointing tourist trap lunch downtown. I was happy to see this was a bag-up to go place, some of the best eats come from those. J's was no exception. The combination gumbo was so good and filling I could eat it all week. I got it with a pound of crawfish. If you're picturing getting a bunch of those tiny crustaceans, you are mistaken my friend. These critters were HUGE. Be forewarned, they are cajun hot! Very tasty, just a heads up for those who aren't a fan of spicy things. For more authentic cajun food at very reasonable prices, J's is where you need to go.“

“Bought two sacks for Easter Sunday. First the sacks were over 40 lbs each which not something you find with other places. Next the size of these mini lobsters were huge. Lastly they were the cleanest I have ever gotten or seen. Will be doing business with Johnny’s again.“

“OmG the Food was very Good I had the spaghetti and meat sauce I enjoyed everything I recommend anybody who’s on the West Bank to go there and oh my God the sweet potato pie is also good. Please try her desserts. We won’t be disappointed.“

“We stumbled upon this establishment on our way to tour while on vacation. What a happy accident! We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided. Everything we had was wonderful, not to mention the service was good and the views were lovely. So happy we stopped!“
