“We stumbled upon this establishment on our way to tour while on vacation. What a happy accident! We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided. Everything we had was wonderful, not to mention the service was good and the views were lovely. So happy we stopped!“

I brought my crew here and I actually brought a friend with me once. “I tried this place for dinner after a disappointing tourist trap lunch downtown. I was happy to see this was a bag-up to go place, some of the best eats come from those. J's was no exception. The combination gumbo was so good and filling I could eat it all week. I got it with a pound of crawfish. If you're picturing getting a bunch of those tiny crustaceans, you are mistaken my friend. These critters were HUGE. Be forewarned, they are cajun hot! Very tasty, just a heads up for those who aren't a fan of spicy things. For more authentic cajun food at very reasonable prices, J's is where you need to go.“

“Yesterday, I went to this quaint cafe in Westwego. I ordered grilled fish-tilapia with sides(potato salad and green beans). Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Ms. Estralita (owner) was very nice while taking my order. She gave me a nice serving (sample of her bread pudding) which was fabulous as well.
This place was recommended to me so I am so glad I tried it out! I will definitely be back.

“Love this place. Had their ground meat twice and it comes out better than Walmart’s and even smells really good while and after cooked. Made a spaghetti yesterday and tacos today. It started out with me getting their shrimp stuff they serve for breakfast and I loved it, they also sell my favorite drink-body armor. I love this place. At night their gas station is well lit. I love this place can’t wait to try some more meats. And the workers there are extremely nice and helpful. Love this place. Hope they are here to stay. “I was in NOLA attending a wedding and wanted to pick up live blue crabs to take home to Atlanta. I had made arrangements so I thought with another crab company and that did not work out. I was able to find Danny & Bonnie's seafood online and gave them a call. The woman was very kind and told me that they would most likely be able to accommodate me and would call me back. She called me back not even 5 minutes later to let me know that they would be able to accommodate my 7 dozen request and this was a holiday weekend. I was able to pick up my crabs the next day without any problems. When I tell you that these were the freshest crabs that I've had! I will be forever grateful for the last minute order fulfillment. And my surprise was that they sold fresh cracklin. I only purchased half a bag and I should have purchased a full bag or more. I can't wait to be able to purchase from them again. I highly recommend this establishment!! You won't regret it.“

“It's just an old dive bar but the owner knows his way around the boiling pot. Never had bad seafood from there.

“This restaurant is a must stop EVERY time I’m in town visiting family. My Lawd I always get the shrimp sandwich on bun but I got the hot sausage patties po-boy as well this time. Also grabbed a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish. I know I was being big eyed because I was hungry but I didn’t regret it because everything was good, per usual. My mom tasted the crawfish and looovvveeed the favor. I got the regular spice level and she said it was just right, not too spicy. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.“
