“We stumbled upon this establishment on our way to tour while on vacation. What a happy accident! We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided. Everything we had was wonderful, not to mention the service was good and the views were lovely. So happy we stopped!“

“My husband and I decided to try this based on previous reviews during a quick trip from Pennsylvania..so glad we came here. The food is AWESOME! I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the Shrimp Etouffee. He also had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo as an appetizer. We shared a side of Red Beans and Rice....all were delicious! And to top it all off for my birthday, I ordered the Tiramisu...it was a huge piece and also delicious. Our server, Mason, was so attentive and polite. Definitely give this place a try...you won't be disappointed.“

“I've never been so impressed with how clean the crawfish tasted here compared to other places in Nola! My group of friends tried two other places and came back to this one just to make sure it stays ranked #1 on our list!! the service was amazing and quick! It's a mom and pop shop and its like having family serve you. We got 4lbs of craw fish, the spice is a creeper and it continues to get spicier!! You HAVE TO TRY THE TURKEY WINGS AND FRIED PIGS FEET!!! My group of friends are not fans of pig feet or turkey but I felt like we were all fighting for a bite while eating.“

“My first time at Perino's Restaurant and thought that they have a very clever way with their menu. Instead of having 20 or 30 different sandwiches listed on their menu, you buy a basket of food let's say you get a basket of shrimp or fish. If you want to make a sandwich out of it they charge you like less than $3 and you get two pieces of French bread, lettuce, tomato and pickles and you just make it yourself. Condiments are on the table to add yourtself as well. I thought to myself how genius this is and certainly cuts back on the number of items on the menu. It certainly cuts back on any issues with my sandwich wasn't dressed correctly.I love the atmosphere and the wait staff was super friendly.I'll be back for sure.“

Danielle was kind enough to serve house made Cajun ranch on the side; was very tasty. Would have enjoyed a little more goat cheese. Crispy okra = fried okra, which blew my mind - warm fried okra on top of my fresh salad. I put all of the okra in a small bowl on the side and ate it separately. I think getting someone's attention to check out probably was the slowest part of the process. Drinks never went dry, and pricing is reasonable. Not sure we will return, though, just because there's nothing outstanding about the food; it's just good.“

So they asked if I wanted shrimp instead. I said yes please, & to my surprise they gave me the extra lb of shrimp with my remaining crawfish since I had to wait. Very awesome! Highly recommend!“

“I have been wanting to eat Bun Bo Hue and my friend brought me here claiming their Bun Bo Hue is very good. It indeed was. Had great flavor. It didn't disappoint.
