“What an experience!
We met with some friends for the Omakase menu and it was well worth the cost. With this, you get 12 or 15 different sashimi options. Each were so delectable and tasted Ike the best quality. They presented about 3 of the 12 at a time so you were not overloaded with a big platter. Highly recommend if you like the raw type. Our server was fantastic and knew every single item that was placed on the table. Cocktails were so good as well and I recommend their off menu rum drink. Decor inside is cozy and modern but very inviting. Don’t sleep on the apps as well and you MUST get the Brussels! We will be back very soon!

“The very first time I came to Sushi Village was in November of 2013. I was working on a movie in New Orleans. Several of the crew members took me to all you can eat sushi dinner.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall in Metairie, Louisiana. Upon entering we were greeted with a friendly gesture from the sushi chef. Being from Japan I appreciated that.

I've had amazing sushi all over the world. I was expecting decent but rather pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was perfectly done.

I instantly became a huge fan. I'm not that far away in Florida. It's worth the few hours of driving to savor the delicacies. I'm spreading the word to all my friends here. See you soon.“

“This place is phenomenal! I couldn't believe how fresh and delicious this sushi is. I decided to pop in and grab a quick bite before meeting some friends. The owner is such a nice fellow. Everything was so clean and fresh! The sushi was so delicious I didn't want to put any sauce on it. Lol. The soy sauce was solid quality and the spicy mayo had just the right amount of kick. Top notch and I will definitely be back! I ordered the crab stick roll and tuna roll.“

“SO happy to have the outstanding sushi place in my neighborhood now. We've only gotten takeout a few times thus far but have thoroughly enjoyed everything. The seafood salad I had last night was absolute perfection, and we've settled on the caterpillar roll being our collective fave.
I love that even the regular rolls feel special though and if course that it's all fresh as can be. Can't wait to go back and hope to get to be a regular for a long time.

We were told by the hostess that there was an hour wait and that there was barely anywhere to sit so she advises that we could sit at the bar which we did the sushi bar that is. After waiting for some time Chef Trevor noticed that we were not being really engaged. He then asked me if the kids and I would like something to drink so what you said yes the hostess one of the waiters chef Trevor’s prompting, served us drinks as well as kept our cups filled Thank you! we were very grateful for the kindness that was bestowed upon us. “This is my go-to spot for sushi in the city. While there are several more premium options for sushi, they come with premium price tags. None of them hold a candle to Origami in terms of value. The menu here is extensive, so it will be easy to find something for everyone in your party. The rolls are pretty standard, but all are good. Their nigiri in particular stands out for being excellent yet being almost half the price of some of the other more hyped sushi locations in the city. Their cocktails are great as well.“

They were constantly replenishing the options with freshly cooked food. The staff were nice. The place was clean as were the restrooms. $40 for two adults I feel was a great value. I liked the sushi too.“
