“I really like the chicken sandwich, and the chicken was big and juicy. The sandwich was an impressive sight, with a generous portion of chicken that peeked invitingly from between the soft, toasted buns. The chicken itself was cooked to perfection, with a crispy, golden-brown coating that promised a delightful crunch.
Biting into the sandwich, I was immediately struck by the juiciness of the chicken. Each bite released a burst of savory, succulent flavor that was incredibly satisfying. The meat was tender and moist, almost melting in my mouth, and it was seasoned perfectly, with a balance of spices that enhanced its natural taste without overpowering it.
The sandwich was complemented by fresh, crisp lettuce and a slice of ripe, juicy tomato, adding a refreshing contrast to the richness of the chicken. A dollop of creamy mayo or a tangy sauce provided the perfect finishing touch, tying all the flavors together harmoniously.
The buns were soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together, their slight sweetness balancing the savory chicken. The combination of textures—from the crunch of the chicken's coating to the softness of the bun and the crispness of the vegetables—made each bite a delightful experience.
Overall, the chicken sandwich was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, with the big, juicy chicken as its star. It was a satisfying, mouthwatering meal that left me eager for the next bite.“

“We stumbled upon Gus’s after shopping at the outlets on Riverwalk. The reviews were strong and fried chicken sounded perfect for lunch. Their chicken is hands down the best fried chicken I’ve ever had at a restaurant! It was also a great price - and for those who have visited NOLA before, you know it can be a pricey city! You must try it!“

“SO JUICY! Consensus is this is the best fried chicken this group of 6 has ever had. The McHardy’s Bourbon sauce can’t be missed, and the Mango Habanero and Jerk sauces are also a must try. The fried okra was excellent. The staff were kind, attentive, helpful, and fab! Can’t wait to come back!! 11/10“

“Another night in NOLA which means it’s time to try a new food spot. Earlier today I was over on Canal and passed by Willie’s. The smell itself drew me in and I decided at that moment that I was coming back. LoL!!!! Willie’s sits right on the strip so it’s super easy to find. The front was totally open and there were a few tables outside on the sidewalk. As the strip is super active, sitting outside would be dope if you wanted to people watch. LoL. Walking up to the counter, each register had a cashier so the line was running smoothly. Taking a moment to review the menu, it was as one would anticipate; simple, straightforward, and one dimensional. The highlight of Willie’s definitely appears to be the Daiquiri’ as there are many options. I decided on the 3pc Cajun Tender Combo which comes with Fries and a Honey Biscuit. I also added a side of Red Beans and Rice. I mean, it is NOLA so I had to do it. I placed my order. Received my number. And took a seat to await my order. The restaurant was clean and vibrant. The yellow and red throughout the restaurant really set an upbeat tone that pairs well with the neon lights and vibrant colors of the Daiquiris. Once my order was ready, it was delivered to the table and I was good to go. Let’s talk the Food: Biscuit - Simple. Buttery. Crunchy around the bottom edges. Soft in the middle. Nothing special to note. Reminds me of a biscuit from Church’s. I’ll say 7/10. Tenders - Big. Juicy. Crunchy on the outside. Well seasoned. That’s it. That’s all I got. 😂😂😂😂😂😂. I’ll say 5/10. Fries - Well Seasoned. Crunchy. I’ll say 7/10. Red Beans and Rice - Now hear me out. I love a good RB&R and these were good. There were way more beans than there was rice, which is ideal for this kind of dish. They weren’t too spicy. They were flavored well and the beans were tender. You can definitely tell they were slow simmered. I’ll say 8/10. Now… hear me out! The food wasn’t bad but for $25.00, chileeeeeeeeeeee. No ma’am, No sir. Lemme go to the chicken spot for half the price. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I won’t maybe go again if I want a lil piece of a tender. But at $13 for the Combo and $8 for the RB&R… imma need a coupon or something. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Ok, Ok. In all seriousness, if you’re in the area, go for the experience. *P. S. For my Up North people, Willie’s puts me in the mindset of our “New York Fried Chicken” spots that be on the strip in the hood.“

“We were in there earlier today and my 3 year old started choking and your cashier Danielle P didn’t hesitate to jump in and help me. She picked my daughter and hit her on the back several times which, luckily, was all it took to clear her airway. I just was really appreciative and thought her workplace should know she was going above and beyond. Thank you, Danielle!“

“This place is alright. My only hang-up with this restaurant, "Chick-fil-A or Chicka-Flick (as i like to call it)," is that you'll never get enough fries. The container is never full. I get that the fries can be big slices, but couldn't they think to make it order the containers that hold the fries a bit bigger. Whenever I order the fries, I feel ripped off, and this is the only thing I really enjoy from this restaurant. Chicka-Flick, I'm gon need you to get it together with these fries; 3 to 5 slices with a few nips of broken off pieces of other fries in any size is not ever enough and unsatisfactory when one of your claims to fame is for customers to be satisfied.
Vegetarian options: The salads are made to order and you can specify no chicken or cheese.
Parking: The parking lot is a decent size.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are at least 3-5 handicap parking spaces with wheelchair room.“

“Finally had their breakfast and wow, my chicken egg salad cheese biscuit was so freaking good if it was early enough I'd circle block and gotten another. The people taking order are always super nice. Only negative couple of their sandwiches are only worth half their price like the grilled chicken muffin.. It's less calories because they give you half the amount of food.
Don't get me wrong nearly everything taste amazing and allot better then most fast food, unfortunately you pay extra for better than bad.“

“I went here months ago when they opened, then a few other times.I did get the free bag they gave the the 1st day grand opening. My chicken salad sandwich and salad was good. The only reason thats keeping me away is beacause of the slow process and long lines out in the street.Sometimes the customer service isnt that great.I think I would only order delivery the next time versus going there in person.“

“The food is great as always. Yet the service is not great or chic fil a friendly. The guys handing the orders In pick up area were not nice nor friendly and actually really rude and almost disrespectful. “Chic Fil A strives to be a family place and it shows. The chicken is very good. Every member is the staff is kind and courteous. They even hold community events. They welcome groups. They have games for customers to play. There is s kids play area with play cash registers. I can't say enough good things about Chic Fil A in general, but this location is exemplary of what they strive to be!“

“Writing this on behalf of my mom, a regular mallwalker at Lakeside who often speaks of how friendly the young people who work at the Raising Cane's are when she orders her diet coke (even though she's only ordering a diet coke). FWIW, I do like the fried chicken as well. :)“

“Y'all know my problem with this restaurant. I never get enough fries even if I order an extra extra large. It's like they knock the top off. I hate when the amount of food I get feels and/or looks pinched.?
Vegetarian options: All I can say is to order the fries, fruit, or salad and specify that you don't want any chicken on your salad.“

“Avoid the Canal st . Location. I got charged $16 for a “tackle box @ combo for adding a single extra srtip( so a total of 3 ,inch long strips, and literally 4 popcorn shrimp (advertised as 1/4 lb of them)!!! This is NOT supposed to be a kids meal, I don’t mind paying a little extra for a good meal. This wasn’t good, nor a Meal 👎👎👎 Sadly,it will follow everything other fast food chain on Canal(Wendy’s,B.K, both Mc Donald’s,etc,,,) at least there’s still a good Tattoo shop! Big East Tattoo Company!!! Safer than Bourbon st….Best traditional shop in town!“

“Me and my mom tried this place for the first time last week and the food was very good 🤤. I had the shrimp platter which came with jumbo shrimp and plenty of fries. My mama also had the same thing and we both enjoyed it. Prices are very reasonable so if you're looking for something affordable and good to eat I highly recommend Louie's Kitchen 💯“

“People where nice and where more about doing their job over Popeyes on Barataria Blvd where the people are unprofessional and more worried about how their hair came out or what is going on in their lives over doing their job and serving their customers not to mention they number one thing in a customer service job is always greet your customers and being courteous to your customer's and when they tell you have a good night you reply the same not keep talking about your hair and just completely ignore the customer I'm in the service industry and always greet my customers and when leaving tell them to have a good morning, afternoon, or good evening depending on the time of day it is and if it's a Friday always say have a good weekend or if right before a holiday always tell them to have a good 4th of July or Thanksgiving just depends on what holiday is coming but that's how you build a good customer base not to mention that comes with the service industry and it's just common courtesy if you don't want to be in it and do a professional job then go do something else but the one on Lapalco Blvd the are very nice and professional so if im in the mood for Popeyes that will be where I go from hear on out
Parking: Lot of parking but if busy can be another story but that's any food places you go
Wheelchair accessibility: Well just seen they had it and next to the handicap parking spots“

UPDATE: wow it has definitely changed since I last visited. The night manager has such a vibrant attitude, she is sweet and very helpful she really was great and her workers were very nice as well. I love the change, even though the prices are quite high, just their energy alone made it a pleasant visit. 5⭐️“
