“02JUL23 ~ It is easy to give five stars when they serve the best fried chicken, I like the spicy white chicken, I have ever had. The chicken is normally hot & spicy, thoroughly cooked, moist, and with a crispy/crunchy & tasty crust. This visit did not disappoint. The young guy that took my order was genuinely friendly, well spoken, and helpful. The young woman that gave me my chicken was also very nice and well spoken. I do not know their names but the receipt showed my 'host' as 'Jasmine'. Thank you for the good combination of food and staff. It was really hot today & this was a nice lift in my day.“
“My husband got surprised by the spicy sauce on his chicken sandwich, so the server gave us our meal FREE! What a compromise, so us being spice whips! Their chicken & fish were good; not spicy. Thank you Popeye's (our first visit) for great customer service!“
“My wife and I had a late evening hunger that needed to be craved. We had a taste for chicken, and Gus was our second option. They stayed open at a great time to accommodate our hunger. Although we had a bit of a wait to sit down( there was a party of 28 people) so we were patient. The chicken was hot and fresh. Crisp skin, though I can't say that it was flavorful. It had a late kick of spice to it but the spice wasn't overwhelming. I want to try the tenders on my next outing and the greens.“
“Fried chicken, fried gizzards, fried livers biscuits and dirty rice you can't go wrong!! Sometimes they'll overcook the gizzards, but pretty much everything I get from here is delicious and perfect every time. Fast food done right!“

“This place was recommended to us by a few of our friends and it was great. The chicken portions for tenders are massive, and despite being quite hungry, we coukd barely even finish a 3 piece, the portions were so big. Absolutely delicious too. Fries were good.Priced decently for what you get and being in a tourist trap of a street. Around 12 bucks or so and it wss filling.“
