“We visited this pub whilst on vacation from South Carolina. Being from England originally it was nice to feel at home on this very nice pub. The beer selection is great. The only unfortunate thing that happened was I purchased a t-shirt and when I got home found it had a hole in it.“

“My husband goes to Julies almost every day after work for 2 hours. I go with him sometimes. The bar tender SHANNON it a good bartender, welcoming committee and keeps going from one of the bar to the out her. By the time she makes drinks or beer around the bar, it's time to start over again. She laughs with customers while working for other drinks.“

“Cozy ambience with a unique, delicious drink menu. They also offer their kitchen to local food businesses, and the Asian fusion one there when I went was phenomenal. Donavin makes a wonderful drink called “Thank You for Being a Friend” with Louisiana run, almond, passionfruit, and smoky amaro – must try! I was in town for the Home + Garden Show, and Barrel Proof was the perfect unwind!“

Parking: It is located in a neighborhood where most houses have street parking only. You may have to park a block away and walk there.“

“Excellent service (they have buzzers! I don’t need to listen for my name in a crowded bar!) and tasty food. In addition to bar time bites, their food travels well (due to some thoughtful packaging, bread isn’t stacked atop meat, etc) and I am able to grab stuff on my lunch break. A welcome addition to Mid-City!“

“HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. FIRST TRIP TO NEW ORLEANS AND IF IT WAS BASED OFF THIS VISIT, WE WOULD'VE LEFT. BARTENDER PLAYING ON HER PHONE WHILE SOCIALIZING, DIDN'T TAKE OUR ORDER, WE EVEN LOOKED AT HER FOR AWHILE MAKING EYE CONTACT, IT WAS OBVIOUS WE WERE READY TO ORDER, SO WE LEFT. NOT TO MENTION, PLACE WAS A DIVE. METAL CHAIRS, MOST WERE BROKEN, YOU GET THE HINT......“

“Visited later in the evening. I ordered the 6 beer flight and wasn't disappointed. Each beer style was good in its own way. I also tried some food items. The red beans and rice was solid. I felt the roux in the gumbo may have been burnt, and I think that roux may have been used in the etouffee, too. The slight burnt taste was the negative of the meal. All desserts ordered at the table were good. I would return for both beer and food.“

“My wife and my father-in-law popped in for a cold one on a whim, and it turned out to be well worth it. It was like we had been there a hundred times, and we were treated like old regulars. Six beers in we decided we'd better move on, as we'd already made plans for the evening. It would have been very easy to just make a day of it there though.“

“Been to several events at this location including a beautiful wedding. The art gallery at the 1st floor is spectacular!!“
“OMG So hot in there, but hey... I guess that goes with the territory. Staff was great and accommodating, the karaoke was amazing, and the outside area was a lifesaver I was shocked to see a vending machine with edible THC items in it, but I'm not from a state where that's legal, so it's interesting to see. ...Not my thing, but cool to see the differences from place to place.“
