“Absolutely Delicious!!! 100 stars given ‼️ I’ve been eating at Jan’s since they were located in the back of Lafitte.. New Restaurant & Owners now but the down home cajun authenticity is still there! Incredibly Amazing Cajun Cuisine… Jordan and his team have figured the secret sauce to success here..My name is Keith Adams w Adams Air Condition & Heating Services and we’ve been working on the Lafitte Museum and Civic Center over the past month and I have personally eaten here, probably about a dozen times. I brought my crew here and I actually brought a friend with me once. We have sampled almost the entire menu and if anybody knows me, you know I like to eat and you know, I know good food, will this place has good eats and absolutely delicious food if you’re coming from upfront, New Orleans or even Livingston Parish where I live at now it’s worth the drive literally less then five minutes over the Rosethorn bridge on the left and you’re there❗️I personally guarantee you will not be disappointed and I dropped my name and my business name up top so you know this ain’t no cap.‼️“

“The food was excellent, homestyle cooking. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, interacted well with customers, and they provided excellent service, everytime I visited the restaurant. It is very family welcoming. The place is very clean. Can complete with any restaurant all round.

We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided. Everything we had was wonderful, not to mention the service was good and the views were lovely. So happy we stopped!“

“Under new ownership. Same menu, different faces. Tastes the same tbh but the service can use improvement. All the same equipment but a new, far more convenient point of sale card machine. The fountain drink machine needs to be calibrated, there waa way more soda water rather than syrup. All minor inconveniences that im sure will be remedied. I am hopeful these guys can live up to the legacy of the nice couple that ran this place as long as I can remember. I'll check back in a few months.“
