The restaurant was a delight. “******Highly Recommend ****^ My 87 year old mother, my sister in law and I had lunch at Augustine’s today at their grand opening. The lunch was fantastic! We started with delicious appetizers-crab claws in butter, onion soup, and truffle fries with Parmesan cheese. Absolutely delicious. We then enjoyed the fried oyster salad with cornbread bread crumbs (yummy!) and the chicken flatbread with balsamic vinegar and I think honey. You had to roll us out of the door as we ate every bite! I asked if the fish was catfish and was told that yes it was by the employee at the window. It is very obvious that it was NOT catfish. That’s disappointing. In fact I believe there is a Louisiana law that’s requires restaurants to post and provide identification and origin seafood. I also find irony in the restaurant’s name and logo that implies catfish, yet doesn’t serve it.“

We shared a dish which was more than enough for the two of us. The food was the right temperature and came out in a timely fashion. Overall a great time for our date before seeing a show.“
