“Friendly bartender; very clean and smoke-free bar in safe Metairie. Great place to meet after work to kickstart your weekend. Try the strawberry coconut daiquiri! (The daiquiris are not super sweet like at other venues and I'm pretty sure the liquor quality is better too).“
“Fun time last night with the Tordown band ! Extra credos to Karen for turning off the tvs while the band was playing. That is a rare gesture and shows respect for the music !“

“Best place in the world. I love this place. Inside info… (if you want to be an instant insider, play Prince on the juke. Then go smoke on the back porch. Share your smoke if anyone is around to share with. Good things will happen.). Funnest all nighter in the world.“
“A really cool hang out spot for servers or just regular people alike looking for a fun place to hang out and shoot some pool or just enjoy the game on tv, regardless of what you're looking for for fun, this is a nice environment for it and the people that work there are really nice.“

“A geoup of 8 of us came through on vacation and made this our first stop. We had the pleasure of having Mel as our bartender and she made the best bloody mary that any of us had had in our lives! That includes all the ones we had throughout the city during our week there. Some of us came back the next day and a different bartender admitted he couldnt make bloody marys like Mel. This place gave us the best welcoming to the city. The only downside is that there's no number to call so I can ask how she made them. Thanks again!“

“Have been a Chart Room patron for many years. It's pretty much a plain ol' bar with great juke box and veteran bartenders serving typically strong and inexpensive drinks. About half locals, half out-of-town visitors, most of the out-of-towners being frequent NOLA visitors. At one time I suspected that a few of the regular characters were sent over by Central Casting, but have been going there long enough to now know they're genuine. A recent ownership change, but based on my last visit, no discernible (to me) change.“

“Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤“

“I live close by and have passed this place so many times on the way to work but never had the time to stop in until today cos I wanted a fun place to go to celebrate my birthday and I've never been one for the maddening crowd that goes along with the vibe that Bourbon St. has. This place is absolutely a great little gem for those who just want to relax and have a drink. The bartender is a complete sweetheart and so friendly, the drinks are very affordable AND strong and I very much enjoyed celebrating my birthday there! It's kind of like the New Orleans version of Cheers LOL I just hope at some point they will have karaoke on the weekends but I will definitely be frequenting there more often from now on.“

“Took the ferry over to Algiers on our recent New Orleans trip- planned to just wander but found this place and decided to check it out- what a treat!! We love a good “dive bar” with character and history, and this one’s got it! The service was IMPECCABLE *chefs kiss*. Our day shift bartender (I’m sorry I forgot your name!) was a great historian and she recommended some other great establishments to check out, both in Algiers and back across the river too. Algiers itself is a beautiful, peaceful, clean place, and the folks who live there and can stop by the Old Point after work are lucky!!“

“We found this bar by chance while seeking shelter from the rain. It has a quirky theme centered around toilets, which adds a fun touch. Keep in mind, they only accept cash. The drinks here are big and pack a punch, starting at around $6 for basic options. Expect to mingle with a local crowd.“

“The best dive bar I've ever visited! A real New Orleans local spot that's such a hidden gem. Inside, lit by some Christmas lights and sometimes accompanied by some gorgeous dogs and outside feels like a total house party. A place where everyone comes together. Cheapest drinks in the world too and the kindest staff. Can't wait to come back one day.“

“Better than ok bar, I've come a couple times in the past several months. The 1st time I crashed someone's wedding/reception party. The second I came back with said wedding couple after KVD. Similar to the 1st time, had a couple of beers and danced until it was time to cool off on their patio/backyard. It was DJ Haute Wave whom I've had the pleasure of rocking to @12 mile. Didn't grab any food although I probably should have. Just another solid bar in the marigny.“
“Another Bar I have lived in New Orleans for 2 years now. I’m about to move to Houston. I came to New Orleans to start my life over and I had only a handful of people I knew in the city. When I came to karaoke with Blazen on Sunday Nights it truly saved my life. I was really struggling with feeling lonely in a new city. When I came to karaoke at Another Bar in Jan 2024 I truly found a home. I have always felt so welcome and Towner/ Blazen has put together a one of a kind experience in New Orleans on a Sunday Night. The talent that shows up on a Sunday night always blows me away. It’s really something special. Over the past 2 years I have only seen an increase in the number of people who come out ON A SUNDAY NIGHT- many who have work early the next morning, myself included. One of the first nights I came to Sunday karaoke, a drunk college student as a joke took my phone and keys. Blazen turned the lights up in the bar and everyone searched. Blazen made sure that I got my phone and my keys back. I felt like I was family. If anyone has anything negative to say about the staff at Another Bar I challenge them to show me the proof, because I have experienced nothing but love specifically because of Towner Hagen/Blazen Haven. I have told so many people to come to Another Bar because of Towner/Blazen Haven. If she went somewhere else, so would I. And I would tell everyone I knew to do the same.“
“Charlie Kelly is New Orleans Jesus. A god among men. The best bartender the world has ever known. He will always make you feel welcome and is a kind soul, but cross him and we will beat your ass, especially if you try to steal our cab or start a lame fight. Love you buddy!“
“Nice little neighborhood 24/7 dive bar with neighborhood people (daytime and most nights) who all know each other. Almost family-like. Avoid nights Friday thru Sunday if you are looking for that same feel. It can be extremely loud with not-so-neighborhood people.“
“My wife and I had a blast last night with our friend group, and the amazing coyote Sway! Sway was the best bartender we've ever had! We are definitely coming back!! Our friend group was visiting NOLA for my wife's birthday and Sway really helped make our first night here special!! Thank you Sway!“

“First Aunt Tiki’s experience was about 15 years ago. This year my wife let me bring the kids. My 23 year old and I went to see my Cowboys get beat on Christmas Eve. Love this bar. New and fantastic every time I sneak in. Unfortunately after I left, in the rain, slip sliding over to Bourbon St. I eventually slipped my best slip and fractured my fibula, skinned my knees and scabbed up my forehead. I’m paying for it now but it was an epic adventure. Love all of you there but I’m gonna give the old liver a break for a while. 10 out of 10 if you’re cool!“

“This was my second time in New Orleans with my wife. We stopped at the “Boondocks Saints” as we did the last time we were here. This is an awesome bar and they made us feel like one of the regulars. Our bar tender was Ally, she filled us in on what was going on and gave us great advice on local establishments. We were there quite a while and the total came to what we paid for two drinks at another bar. I highly recommend this bar when you come to the French Quarter.“

“Recently stopped by because a friend moved into the neighborhood. This is a really odd but interesting neighborhood bar. It's almost invisible during daylight hours because it's built on the side of what is obviously a house and the only signage seems to be neon signs in the windows which are covered with bars and not really visible during daylight hours. However at night the neon signs in the small windows really show up and they also have multicolored twinkle lights All along the outside walls of the building, on the bar part.Bartender Mary was very friendly. Drinks were very reasonably priced and will poured.Atmosphere... not the most up-to-date bar in town, but that's part of its charm. Definitely a place locals can go to in whatever attire they have on. Wouldn't be surprised if people felt comfortable going there in the pajamas, it's just that kind of place. This is a bar only, no food is served here. I was advised that they only took cash which is something you need to know. Don't plan on stopping here and running a tab on a card.“
