“Have been a Chart Room patron for many years. It's pretty much a plain ol' bar with great juke box and veteran bartenders serving typically strong and inexpensive drinks. About half locals, half out-of-town visitors, most of the out-of-towners being frequent NOLA visitors. At one time I suspected that a few of the regular characters were sent over by Central Casting, but have been going there long enough to now know they're genuine. A recent ownership change, but based on my last visit, no discernible (to me) change.“

“Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤“

“I live close by and have passed this place so many times on the way to work but never had the time to stop in until today cos I wanted a fun place to go to celebrate my birthday and I've never been one for the maddening crowd that goes along with the vibe that Bourbon St. has. “We went here the night before Halloween for bingo. It was pretty packed since it's a small little place. But I thought it was really cool that the bingo was free and they still gave out prizes. Seemed like everyone knew each other so maybe it's a local bar? Anyway it was very fun. I wish they would have done the bingo closer together since they were every half hour and it only took 5 minutes for someone to get a bingo. It would have been more fun if it could have been faster but I get they want people to stay and drink. We stayed for three games and then gave up.“

“First Aunt Tiki’s experience was about 15 years ago. This year my wife let me bring the kids. My 23 year old and I went to see my Cowboys get beat on Christmas Eve. Love this bar. New and fantastic every time I sneak in. Unfortunately after I left, in the rain, slip sliding over to Bourbon St. I eventually slipped my best slip and fractured my fibula, skinned my knees and scabbed up my forehead. I’m paying for it now but it was an epic adventure. Love all of you there but I’m gonna give the old liver a break for a while. 10 out of 10 if you’re cool!“

When I came to karaoke with Blazen on Sunday Nights it truly saved my life. I was really struggling with feeling lonely in a new city. When I came to karaoke at Another Bar in Jan 2024 I truly found a home. I have always felt so welcome and Towner/ Blazen has put together a one of a kind experience in New Orleans on a Sunday Night. The talent that shows up on a Sunday night always blows me away. It’s really something special. Over the past 2 years I have only seen an increase in the number of people who come out ON A SUNDAY NIGHT- many who have work early the next morning, myself included. One of the first nights I came to Sunday karaoke, a drunk college student as a joke took my phone and keys. Blazen turned the lights up in the bar and everyone searched. Blazen made sure that I got my phone and my keys back. I felt like I was family. If anyone has anything negative to say about the staff at Another Bar I challenge them to show me the proof, because I have experienced nothing but love specifically because of Towner Hagen/Blazen Haven. I have told so many people to come to Another Bar because of Towner/Blazen Haven. If she went somewhere else, so would I. And I would tell everyone I knew to do the same.“

“February 19th, 2020. Husband's 50th. Wanted a Mardi Gras birthday. He went to 'Bead & Boobs' on Bourbon whilst my short self wandered in this bar mid afternoon. I found a bar stool, kicked back and let Houla introduce me to a lovely spiced rum which became my companion the rest of the evening. The bar itself was clean, bathrooms were kept up and had a slappin playlist pumping. I watched drunken drama come in and out: a young couple saddled up and in mid drink the boyfriend realized he was surrounded by gays so he bolted, a gentleman asked me to babysit his darling Yorkie while he drained his snake, but the best was watching Houla superhero himself over the bar to rescue a very intoxicated woman from a total creep. That was legend! Enjoyed my 7 hour stay. Everyone needs to be here!!“
