We went down to spitale’s for lunch while our car was getting tires. I’ve passed before and thought the place was a bar that also served food. Turns out to be a really first class counter service restaurant. Food was tip-top and the service friendly and attentive. We will add it to the list to visit more often. Prices are a little higher but I’m okay paying for good service and quick friendly service.
Great little lunch spot in the middle of Metairie. Full menu with daily lunch specials. Parking can be a little of a challenge. Best is to park across the street in the Barnes & Noble lot directly across from Spitales.

I would highly recommend Spitale’s. The customer service was excellent and the food was served quickly.The appetizer was fabulous. The muffuletta was hot. Yummy! The food is delicious so stop by and visit because you won’t regret it. Promise!
