What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service given that this isn’t a full service restaurant. The young woman taking orders behind the counter was very proactive about greeting us, thanking us, and checking in toward the end of our meal.

She was also greeting other patrons by name, which suggests either a strong rapport with regulars or a thoughtful effort to use the names associated with phone orders. Either way, that kind of warmth goes a long way and left a lasting impression.“

“Nice hidden gem in Natchitoches with good food, great fast service, and decent prices. The meat pies are delicious, the entrees are delicious, & even the kids meals are good. I also tried the red beans and rice and it was decent, but the cornbread that came with it was absolutely horrible. Still it was a very nice dining experience. Also, the bathrooms are very small so don't expect to go to the restroom as a group.“

“Soooo good! We came into Natchitoches with ChatGPT recommendations but a local said this was the place for the best food in town. And she was right. The local human definitely beat AI ! The catfish was some of the best I’ve had. And the crawfish cornbread was yummy! Treat yourself and go here!“

“I got the Oyster Bienville and they were amazing! My server Maddie gave us a great experience with knowledge of the menu and drinks. We asked for a good whiskey and noticed they had a great new selection. Great job to the new owners keep it up.“
