“A nice garden setting in an urban/industrial area. Popular for a reason. They were a little slow on the service the night we went, but honestly, we didn't even notice until they offered free refills of our margaritas as an apology. Class act! Fall/winter/spring recommend since the summer in the swamp is oppressive. Consider to-go when it's hot.“

“Found this place almost by accident and immediately didn't regret it. The restaurant was clean, well managed, and had a friendly staff.
We ordered a variety of favorites and we were pleased that they were authentic and flavorful.
The prices were excellent considering every other restaurant nearby is an overproduced chain restaurant.
Highly recommend and will make it a venture in future visits to NOLA.“

“Staying nearby and drove by a few times and saw it was always busy. Walked up for an early dinner and couldn’t have been more impressed. Great people, great atmosphere and unbelievably delicious food made with fresh ingredients. Also found everything reasonably priced. Very happy that we trusted in our rule of eating where the locals go. How have they not been featured on the Food Network???“

“Why is it so bright in there? We love the original Juan's on Magazine, and we miss our favorite server there now that we live closer to the one on Oak. I just wish this location had the same dark atmosphere as the original. I appreciate that the music isn't as loud, but it's just not the same.
Kid-friendliness: They have kid options like bowls with beans and rice or plain quesadillas. They also have menus that they can color with crayons.“

Parking: This is a food truck, you park and order at the window and they make it for you right then and there.“

“Food, Service, Atmosphere 10/10 fire music selection loud enough to enjoy and vibe. But still at a great level for conversation and intimate time with guest. Keep the music ROLLING! Staff amazing, polite, energetic, and professional. I recommend the BIG A$$ Burrito, DUI Fries, Birria, and Queso Shrimp Tacos. Not my first time and won’t be my last time at tacos & beer!“

“We never knew this place even existed. Last time we looked it was an abandoned home. The menu was diverse with Mexican, po boys, and some Mediterranean. We all had tacos, birria and fish and they were all great with generous servings. The home made salsa was a nice treat. Give this place a try and don't overlook it. Note that there is off-street parking in the back.“

“I had an event for 50 High School students catered by Felipes and it was perfect. I ordered the Taco Bar and they hit a homerun. There was plenty of food - it arrived on time and still hot. The delivery person helped me get the food inside which I appreciated. Everything that we ordered was there and there was enough food for some leftovers. The students all raved about how great the food was and how excited they were about the cheese dip and chicken tacos. The ordering process on the front end was easy - and the employee Samantha was able to help me adjust the order the day of the event. Outstanding service! A+ FOR FELIPES!“
“I was a bit skeptical about ordering from a food truck, but my brother and I decided to give it a go. We decided to try the spicy chicken sandwich on brioche and OMG it was a amazing. Our entire experience was wonderful, but I never tasted a chicken sandwich packed with so much flavor like this one. PLEASE don't sleep on food trucks in New Orleans la. Cocoa & Cream was super helpful and kind. 5/5!“

“What a diamond in the rough! The owner brought out a little setup and made our guacamole dip in front of us while he told us stories of his place and how it started. He was as much of the experience as an authentic Mexican restaurant in the middle of Cajun land. The food was great and came out quickly. If you like Mexican food, this is definitely a stop for you while in New Orleans. We got the taco plates with beef.

“We really like to eat Mexican. This place was good, nothing out of this world but good, for my taste it lacks seasoning. Very friendly attention. Quite fast service. Everything looks clean. Ideal to go with friends to watch games because they have like 4 TVs all showing different sports.“

“Let me get by saying this is one of the cutest little restaurants I’ve ever seen. It was really cozy. I started with the carrot and orange juice while I waited on my food and it was so delicious. The staff was super friendly and kept me company while I waited on my order. I’m at Maria the owners daughters who are super sweet, Angelica helped me with figuring out what I wanted to order, Irbiana brought the food out to me, well, Natalie and Beberlin cashed me out. Everything looks so good online and so were the reviews so I ordered a bunch of different things … pictures coming shortly :)“

“Have loved Juan's Flying Burrito for decades. As a Saint Louisan, it's my Mexican craving go to when I'm in NOLA. I got the Nachos last night and the portion was ginormous and tasted amazing. I always notice the cute painted coffee cans light fixtures. Magazine or Canal? You pick“

“Tex Mex joints don't necessarily come to mind as must visit restaurants when in New Orleans, but Superior Grill is just that for me. Take the St.Charles streetcar from the CBD/FQ, enjoy the scenery and hop off at Foucher for great Tex mex food and amazing margaritas. The go-to order is a top shelf margarita (half frozen and half rocks) and any one of the fajita offerings. Worth the trip to the Garden District.“

“Hands down this is the best taco truck in New Orleans. Great service. You can go spend 20 minutes in the drive-through at McDonald’s around the corner or you could get 100 times better quality food at this taco truck in less than 10 mins. Highly recommend. this is my go-to for lunch. Family owned, local people you should support. Cash only yes, and do leave a tip, these people work so hard and are there every damn day ready to feed me great authentic food.“

“Wild South is the best place to enjoy a cozy, delicious meal focused on Southern cuisine.
We went on a Wednesday night the week before Christmas, so it was slower than normal, which allowed us to sit at the chef's table and get unfettered attention from the staff and chefs. We ordered the 5 course prefix menu, and everything came perfectly timed, and perfectly portioned, to the point where we left satisfied but not overly full. I paired this with their Sherry flight, which allowed me to experience a wide range of styles they have to offer.
The first course was an escabeche-esque snapper, eaten in a rice cracker. The second course was an ode to New England style chowder. Both items were not listed on the menu at the time.
We were interrupted by an intermezzo of uni and trout roe topped chicken schnitzel bites, followed by the vegetable course of broccolini, carrots and peppers, topped with a pumpkin XO sauce, and goat creme fraiche.
The main course was a brined and one-week dry-aged pork chop, with radicchio and sweet potatoes.
Pre-dessert was a refreshing scoop of strawberry sorbet, and dessert was a nod to chocolate mint ice cream, but with merengue and toasted sesame, along with Creole cream cheese custard with strawberries and poached carrots.
Overall we had an amazing time, enjoying our camaraderie with the chefs and staff, and would highly recommend going back and enjoying a meal with friends. We will definitely be back when we return to New Orleans.“
