“Ordered the seafood platter and a cup of gumbo. The seafood platter and etoufe was very good! The gumbo had good flavor but for $10 it had roux which was delicious and 5 tiny shrimps plus the bowl of rice, I like pepper , onion and celery this had absolutely no veggies! Please add a little more meat! And some veggies!! They are cheap and make a world of difference ,We will be back just make it better.”

“Well it's nuts that this McDonalds in Port Barre always makes a better Frappe than the Grand Coteau and especially better than the Opelousas store. I like the fact that I can buy 2 cookies for only $1.39 here in Port Barre but Grand Coteau charges $1.89 for the exact same order. And Opelousas charges the same as Grand Coteau or even more. I never got down inside this particular McDonalds however it is inside a gas station.”

“I was recognized at our company Christmas party and received many tributes and a nice award. One of my gifts was a German Chocolate cake from B Sweet Bakery and let me just say, I’ve eaten plenty of German Chocolate cakes in my day and this one was by far the best I’ve ever eaten! Outstanding!”

“Every month, I drive the 216 miles from Houston, Texas down I-10 to Scott, Louisiana to Billy's. Food as always is good and Excellent Customer Service. This month, I decided to have Billys for Thanksgiving Dinner. I ordered what I always order, a dozen of pepper jack balls, a dozen of pepper jack wraps, a dozen of links and this time, I added a dozen of shrimp 🍤 boudain balls. So far so smooth, except today it was super packed at 8 o'clock in the morning when its always empty the previous months I have visited for years. Plus, a Louisiana State Trooper accosted me on I-10 heading back to Texas. I wish yall would open up a location in Texas because my days of driving through Louisiana are limited now especially with those crowds and Louisiana State Troopers hounding me. Sorry. Excellent food and Customer Service though. 😎”

“Stopped in at Java Square Cafe after runnin errands in town and it turned out real nice. Coffee was hot and smooth, not burnt, and the pastry I grabbed tasted fresh like it just come out the oven. Place is cozy and clean, folks behind the counter were friendly and didn’t mind I walked in with work boots. For a small spot the prices felt fair, I’d sure swing back in for another cup.”

“This is a delightful place with country charm and good eats. I had the chicken, dirty rice, fruit and corn bread that were plate licking fantastic. My partner's cabbage was also delicious. The blackeyed peas and porkchops were the highlight of his choices. The fruit was perfect if you want go back to your childhood remembering canned fruit was the best thing ever. For good southern cooking look no further than this little county corner in Opelousas, Louisiana.”

“First time visiting today, 7/10/23 and so glad we did! I had the Tony Chachere on Focaccia an d my sister hand the Marilyn Monroe. We both loved them! I’ve never had Focaccia bread so soft and delicious before. It was very hard to choose from all the wonderful sandwiches and I’d definitely go back again next time I come back home to Louisiana for visit.”
