“We stopped here on a hunch going to Gulfport because there was a line of cars I ordered a shrimp po'boy and wings and fell in love before I drove out of the parking lot... long story short on the way back to Texas I stopped again for the same order. Lots of shrimp on the po'boy and the chicken was perfect”

The gumbo had good flavor but for $10 it had roux which was delicious and 5 tiny shrimps plus the bowl of rice, I like pepper , onion and celery this had absolutely no veggies! Please add a little more meat! And some veggies!! They are cheap and make a world of difference ,We will be back just make it better.”

“The placed looked clean. The food was made fresh and the staff cuts the sandwich with a clean knife each time. I got a Monster cheesesteak and some cookies. It's nice to see them washing their hands frequently as well. Overall very pleased.”

“Great service! This is the only location that has ever told me use the kiosk to order if I want to or they will be with me shortly to take my order. This speaks volumes on today's world. I usually get told I have to order on kiosk or they won't serve me.... Great job at this location.”

“Well it's nuts that this McDonalds in Port Barre always makes a better Frappe than the Grand Coteau and especially better than the Opelousas store. I like the fact that I can buy 2 cookies for only $1.39 here in Port Barre but Grand Coteau charges $1.89 for the exact same order. And Opelousas charges the same as Grand Coteau or even more. I never got down inside this particular McDonalds however it is inside a gas station.”

“We were traveling thru and I read about boudin and more importantly how Billy’s was fantastic. We never had boudin as we’re from the north! I will say Billy’s is a must stop even if not staying in the area. We brought a bunch home. Used the leftover crawfish boudin from the night before with scrambled eggs the next morning! It’s my new favorite breakfast item now!”

“The Hive Burger: The incredibly fresh meat was perfectly complimented by the juicy red tomatoes,crisp lettuce, and pickles so fresh they were almost cucumbers! It has been a long time since I’ve had a hamburger that tasted like somebody put effort into it with vegetables that could have been used for a salad instead of hidden between buns. Also, don’t skip on the chocolate chip cookie!”

“Food I have picked up to go has been great. The chicken cracklins were warm with a light crisp, the boudin was meaty with good flavor, the fried ribs are always our favorite to chew on, the meat pie (meat) is really good and the crawfish pie is my hubby's favorite. Outside, the fuel pumps are roomy and easy to operate. The diesel pumps on the side are very convenient for my hubby's dually. The staff has been really nice and Mr. Hebert is always accommodating if something is needed. Overall, we give it a great review and we're excited they have come to Jennings to open their business”

“I was visiting Louisiana and was blessed with a bbq chicken quarter dinner that was so good! You know it’s good when they got special days and hours for service! lol I only ate the food I didn’t go in to get in. The town is historical and the business had character and looked to be there for a long time; which is great in my book. It’s a nice small town and the food was spicy, delicious, and smoky bbq! The people were nice and friendly too.”
