“This is definitely not a sit-down spot, more of a grab-and-go, but the food is great! They give a generous portion of food and even call to tell you your food is ready if you're running late lol. They're fast, and I love the crab rangoons!“

“This is the best Chinese food in Baton Rouge. They are so nice and accommodating. The lady at the front speaks enough English and is so sweet. I’ve been coming here for years. This place is also good if you’re looking for something healthy, but don’t feel like cooking. You just have to know what to order. I LOVE this place.“

“The food here is great! I visited this restaurant about two weeks ago and have been back three additional times. The hot and spicy chicken is wonderful and the egg rolls are delicious also. I visited the lunch line as well and tasted the salt and pepper shrimp. The staff there is friendly. Oh I can't forget to say the sweet lemon ice tea is very tasty too.“

“First time visitor. I was at Sam's and wanted Chinese food. I looked up egg rolls and found Chinatown. I ordered the PuPu platter for a veriety to sample and a small pork fried rice. The serving sizes are well worth the price - I have food for another day. The food is delicious. So glad I ordered a variety platter so I could sample it all. Super good food.“

“As usual food is great...but all menus listed online is about 60% of the real price you have to pay. The owners have taken advertised inflation a tad far. There are other Chinese take-out places nearby who has pretty good food but has not gone wild with their prices.I believe I will find other places until China Kitchen re-examines their pricing. One dish I get there often has gone from $5.99 per serving to $9.95 and the primary ingredient has actually been going down in pricing over the last 7 months. This is sad for a place that was known for good Chinese at fair pricing.By the way, I came there at about 5:30pm on a Saturday which is usually packed. I saw no one there and since my order was not quite ready yet, I heard no calls indicating ordering ....maybe their pricing needs to be re-examined.I will try again there in 6 months. Which means that the owners will be losing about35 orders from me at about, current pricing, $26 per order, or a little over $900.I usually only review good/great food experiences, which until lately China Kitchen has been. I only hope in 6 months they are still open so I can resume eating where I really like to. I am really sorry to have to do this kind of review.“

“First time writing a review about this place, my daughter turned me on to this restaurant, possibly about five years ago. I understand some people may have a bad experiences that’s everywhere for me. My experience there have been awesome. One thing I can say about this restaurant when calling in an order you will be getting freshly cooked food. That’s a plus for me I love the way it taste. the chicken on a steak taste better than anybody else chicken on a stick I have tasted , the lo mein combination hands-down I love eating there. I highly recommend.“
“Can’t wait to come back here and try more items. Pictured first is the fried calamari 9/10. The seasoning was perfect and no crumbs were left behind. The bell pepper, onion and jalapeño were seared perfectly. Then the xiao long boa (steamed buns) 8/10. Buns were perfectly steamed with steaming hot sweet filling. The hot and spicy noodle soup gets a 9/10 only because the dish was not spicy. That aside the soup was perfect, noodles, bok choy, peanuts, and flavor for days. Service was accommodating, perceptive, and welcoming.“

“We order out from Wontons almost once a week, 3 times a month, easy. Food is great or good. This is husband and wife run business and they are the nicest people. This is a not a one time review, this is a 10 year review, since they’ve been open. That should let you know whether I think they’re good or not. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants I don’t like, but this is not one of them. My famly love Wontons. They have great service, hard-working people as well as polite, great and good dishes, every restaurant has some recipes that are better than others, this is no exception. If you’ve had a bad experience, I’m not gonna doubt or dispute it. I’m just gonna say to you I’ve not had a bad experience there in 10 years and we keep going back. If you are a good customer, the wife will even make your banana pudding and give it to you for free.I love the hot and sour soup and hibachi chicken, my wife loves sesame chicken, my son loves the shrimp and lobster sauce but every meal I’ve had there has been at less good, it’s not fair to give them one shot, and then rate it as bad, the restaurant is better than that and the couple work hard to please the patrons.“

“I'm in here at least 3 times a month. I like the food and they're always fast and I've never ever gotten a wrong or messed up or forgotten order from them. Only thing is, their card says they're 7 days a week but inside it says they close on Tuesdays. And when you call on Tuesday, you get no recording that says they are closed.“

“Six stars. Order the cashew chicken with extra cashews and steamed rice. You’ll never go to another discount Chinese restaurant. The beef and vegetables is supreme as well along with the shrimp and lobster sauce. You can’t go wrong with any of those and they give you a free “

“Plentiful portions but the two items I got were somewhat bland. The pork wontons I highly do not recommend. Wontons were fried in questionably poor oil and filling wasn’t too much nor tasty.
The bourbon chicken and rice was a lot.
Will try again to see other entrees. Again, you could easily eat their entree and rice throughout the day and still be full, but flavor was lacking in that too.“

“This is the best Chinese food in Ascension Parish. Trust me I've tried them all. Always hot and always fresh. I V is freaking crazy and probably smoking dope. Lay off the meth I V! Great fast service and an awesome hidden gem. When I order Chinese food it will be from here. Never had a bad experience even when they're packed. If you're looking for some good Chinese food this is your place.“

“I absolutely love eating here with my family. I come here at least two times a week with my eight year-old. The buffet is amazing. Even the food to order is great. They even have a general Tso tofu that I love. I alway get an order of shrimp egg roll to go. Love the people, love the restaurant. It’s always clean. Love the staff. Wish I can give them more stars.“

“It was amazing as much as most people think it's a really run down place it's actually, really good food. The service is great. The only complaint is the environment because it not fancy or at least like McDonald's but if you like food that tastes great. While not looking like a nice place the food is a 10 out of 10 for me.“

“My original review said that they make the best egg foo young in town, but this past weekend's order revealed that everything about the food has changed, and for the worse. The egg foo young is terrible, and the rice it's served on tastes like grease-soaked boxed rice. My entire family is bitterly disappointed at the lower-quality food, and it's hard to say when we'll try it again.“
