“Low price food considering today's economy. Very tasteful and very hot and fresh. You definitely get your money's worth I love this place I'm currently about to eat here for the second time.Shrimp fried riceSweet and sour shrimpFried donuts“
“My go-to place for Singapore Mai fun, which is a dish of chicken, pork and shrimp and vegetables mixed in with thin rice noodles and pan fried in a curry sauce. I've also had their combination fried rice and wonton soup. Food is always delicious, hot and fresh and I appreciate the time estimates on when food will be ready.Vegetarian options: There are a decent amount of vegetarian options available on the menuParking: This is in a plaza with a few other eateries, so there's ample parking“
“I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since Mr. Jeffery passed away. I always pass this restaurant . Someone told me that the food was really good and recommended that I try it. It was amazing! Professional service, awesome food and the hospitality is overwhelming. I love your food!!“
“10/10 would recommend this place. They are open on ALMOST ALL holidays, they have very reasonable prices, and very hard working nice staff member's. Like most restaurants, if you order friday or saturday 7-10 pm you may experience a "long" wait time, but the food will definitely be worth it. My recommendations are the shrimp lomein, crab ragoons, seasame chicken, shrimp and broccoli, and pork eggrolls. A very good comfort place that will be there for you threw almost any situation (rain or shine). Be sure to say a warm hello and thank you to Mrs. Helen. Very sweet lady.“
“The only reason for the 4 rating is because you can’t sub any kind of fried rice for the white rice that comes with the combo. Other than that so far this is the best tasting quick Chinese cuisine on my side of town. The cashier was nice, even when I couldn’t understand that I had to buy a side of rice for the sub. She was very kind. It didn’t take long and it was still good even with the white rice? I usually take pics, sorry, next time for sure! And I would go back to them just order something that comes with the fried rice but my mouth was set on the general Tao ?“
“Six stars. Order the cashew chicken with extra cashews and steamed rice. You’ll never go to another discount Chinese restaurant. The beef and vegetables is supreme as well along with the shrimp and lobster sauce. You can’t go wrong with any of those and they give you a free “
“I am not the type of person to usually leave reviews, unless the food is Super Good or Extremely Bad! But it was my first time eating here and the food was absolutely delicious, reminded me of my own country/home. The service was great and the atmosphere was clean!! Would definitely recommend and be back once I’m in Baton Rouge again!“
“I love to get food from here. The best Chinese I've ever eaten. That's saying a lot from the look of the restaurant. It's small and "humble" but, wow is the food and service great, and the prices are very reasonable!!“
“First time visitor. I was at Sam's and wanted Chinese food. I looked up egg rolls and found Chinatown. I ordered the PuPu platter for a veriety to sample and a small pork fried rice. The serving sizes are well worth the price - I have food for another day. The food is delicious. So glad I ordered a variety platter so I could sample it all. Super good food.“
“This is the BEST Asian food I’ve ever eaten.China Express on Coursey Blvd is the BEST Asian restaurant & food in Baton Rouge! The owner & his wife Nina are very nice & friendly! I’ve finally found my Asian restaurant! Thanks China “
“Had a huge delivery order for the family the other night and we loved everything! Great portions, very reasonable prices, and decently packaged. We got the pork eggrolls, pork fried rice, Mongolian beef, Hunan beef, and Mapo Tofu (my personal favorite and it was properly spicy). I will be ordering from here again in the future.“
“First time trying nine dragon in a few years and it was so good and valued very reasonably. Forgot to tell lady on the phone I wanted white rice. When I got there I asked if they had made the order already and if I could still get white rice. The lady said they already did but still gave me white rice on the side for free. Very nice staff.“
“3/7/24 I usually come for the fabulous lunch buffet! For about 11 bucks you can build your own box with classic American style Chinese staples like egg rolls, beef and bell pepper, fried rice, and more! This is the location of the BEST SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN IN THE CITY! I don't know what's in the batter but their version of this dish is leagues above others in town. A light and crisp outer layer and then soft and pillowy and then juicy chicken bathed in a standard red dipping sauce. Out of this world! They also make the best MEI FUN in the city! I just ask for no curry!“
“Our waitress, Aneseia, was incredible! Super knowledgeable about the menu. And the drink menu. She checked on us frequently but not too much. The lettuce wraps are the reason we went. They did not disappoint. Looking forward to the new menu.“
“By far the best and most consistent Chinese take out in Baton Rouge. I haven’t tried any dish here that I did not enjoy. My go to menu option from here is the Crab Rangoon. This is one of the places that I always recommend when somebody’s craving Chinese food.“
“Got my order wrong but that's okay. You get a lot of food for the price. Everything I ate tasted fantastic, except for the Rangoons. Do not get the Rangoons. They genuinely tasted putrid or spoiled. Everything else was great tho! Would go again“
“I'm in here at least 3 times a month. I like the food and they're always fast and I've never ever gotten a wrong or messed up or forgotten order from them. Only thing is, their card says they're 7 days a week but inside it says they close on Tuesdays. And when you call on Tuesday, you get no recording that says they are closed.“
“We order out from Wontons almost once a week, 3 times a month, easy. Food is great or good. This is husband and wife run business and they are the nicest people. This is a not a one time review, this is a 10 year review, since they’ve been open. That should let you know whether I think they’re good or not. There are a lot of Chinese restaurants I don’t like, but this is not one of them. My famly love Wontons. They have great service, hard-working people as well as polite, great and good dishes, every restaurant has some recipes that are better than others, this is no exception. If you’ve had a bad experience, I’m not gonna doubt or dispute it. I’m just gonna say to you I’ve not had a bad experience there in 10 years and we keep going back. If you are a good customer, the wife will even make your banana pudding and give it to you for free.I love the hot and sour soup and hibachi chicken, my wife loves sesame chicken, my son loves the shrimp and lobster sauce but every meal I’ve had there has been at less good, it’s not fair to give them one shot, and then rate it as bad, the restaurant is better than that and the couple work hard to please the patrons.“
“I called my order in at 10:38pm. They close at 11pm. The Food was cooked to perfection and ready by 10:50p , the price was reasonable, and the people were very pleasant. I look forward to doing business with China1 again soon. I definitely recommend this restaurant. ??“
“Not only is the food authentic, delicious and quality, but it's very cheap and great portion sizes! Why go to overpriced fast food when you can get a combo that will last you 2 days for $8 ? Friendly owner and staff and open to customization. Can make any dish spicy! I can't stop going back and bringing people, it's my #1 go to ? These people work such long hours to give us beautiful delicious food. Show them appreciation when picking up your order ❤️“
“Great buffet experience. I mean the service was top notch. When you think of a good buffet, this place is all you can ask for. It's not the biggest selection of food, but it's a great mixture of food and it covers all the different parts of the food chain. I got to say, my belly is full and my heart is happy so if you want to bring your family here or if your feeling frisky and want to bring a girl here for a first date then it won't let you down!“
“Decided to try this place bc of the good reviews. Almost chose a different place bc of the negative reviews on google, but it was only 6 minutes away, so we just went for it. My boyfriend got an order of orange chicken, and I got an order of singapore mei fun. Total was $26, which given the size of the portions, was quite fair as it's at least four meals. Both were delicious. The orange chicken had a perfect breading to chicken ratio. Bf said he would've preferred there to be more sauce on the chicken, and the singapore noodles were just a little dry. But they were very fast, fair prices, and still really good. I will definitely be back!“
“Our take out was ready at the time promised and we received large portions. I ordered the house fried rice and I received a very large serving. The food was was better than I expected. We will definitely go back! The owners need to update their Google listing. There is no dine in.Parking: The parking lot needs repairs. Look out for potholes.“
“Called in a to go order. It was ready when I got there. I had orange chicken with white rice. Girlfriend had honey chicken with pork fried rice. The pork in the rice was hard as a rock. It was obviously over fried. My son got beef lo main. Everything was great except the pork fried rice. Take out only. Handicapped parking and entrance. Place looked clean and smelled fresh.“
“It was such a pleasure to go to Cheng’s. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The waitress kept our glasses filled and continued to check on us to make sure everything was good. She was very sweet. The owner came and talked to us after our meal and we just had to let him know how much we miss him and the food in Hammond. They are the nicest people. Will be going back now I know where they are. We miss China Garden!!! But it’s on now for Cheng’s!!!“
