“Brought my mother and two friends to eat a couple weeks ago....these are some really special people(friends) to us ...we used to eat at their Hammond restaurant before they relocated in Baton Rouge....and their food is still as it was in Hammond....THE BEST...the food was so delicious ...food was presented so beautiful on the plates ,it was almost to pretty to eat and our waiter was so kind to us all...if your looking for some great Chinese Cuisine then go no further....Go to Chengs“

Main entrees are delicious.
Didnt love fried rice, but edible, Ive had better. May try noodles next time.
Service was great and fast.
It is a take out place for sure.

“Use to get deliveries from here over 20 years ago. I pick up now but it's still delicious. Hot N spicy beef W white rice. The inside is clean but it's in an old shopping center so that's why atmosphere is a 4 not 5. Great food nice big portions.“

“I love coming here. The family is so nice and the food is fantastic. The Lo Mein noodles are so chewy and delicious. My favorite Crab rangoon in the city. They sell Almond cookies now and they are good too. I always enough food for leftovers. (The Lo mein is delicious cold too.)“

“China Town is the only place I go to for my vegetable fried rice. Let me tell you… they have THE BEST garlic sauce in town! When I began ordering from China Town, I had EVERYONE in my office ordering my exact order. We eat there at least 2 times a week. Service is swift. Food is great. They are kind. “I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was steaming hot, freshly made just for us. I really appreciated the family-friendly vibe, especially in such a busy area like LSU. Even with all the traffic, the relaxing dining space offered a nice change of pace. While seating is somewhat limited, there was still plenty of room to feel comfortable. The owners are truly wonderful people who genuinely care about their food and customers, just as much as they do about their family and business. I ordered the spicy shrimp with mixed vegetables and extra gravy, along with lo mein noodles and a non-pork egg roll. My business partner tried the sesame seed chicken with egg fried rice. “Fastest 5 stars I've ever given. They exceeded expectations by arriving 25 mins earlier than quoted. Unlike other restaurants that use third party drivers(who smoke in their cars) China Wok uses their own employees. They had everything I wanted, including the rare sweet and sour pork!! And.. look! I only ordered ONE, but they gave me 6!!

“I placed a pick up order and I ended up running behind and was not going to be getting there until after they had technically closed. The worker was very understanding and accommodating and allowed me to pick up my order even though they were officially closed. Seems like a small thing, but making an exception that makes the customer experience good even when he had no obligation to do so is very rare these days. Very good customer service and good food“

“Best Chinese food in the world. Everything is fresh and local. Fast friendly service. Good size portions. Another city and they'd be so busy you'd have to wait for a table. Another city and they could raise their prices. Whatever brought them here, I hope they stay here. If you have a favorite Chinese restaurant and it's not New China on Acadian Thruway across from the hospital -> stay away. You're happy eating Chinese shrimp? I'm happy for you. Bless your heart.“

“We like this place, easily in the top 3 of all Chinese food in Baton Rouge. We like the hot and spicy chicken (very spicy) Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian Beef (also spicy). Everything was a bit on the spicier side than expected but we love spicy here! so no complaint from me but just as a guide for others. I personally love it that a place actually makes the dishes that are supposed to be spicy actually spicy! At most other places even the dishes that are supposed to be spicy have zero heat to them, so I applaud this place!

The Beef and Broccoli is also great. Egg rolls and Crab Rangoon very good. Only thing we don't like is the teriyaki chicken it comes on a stick and was over cooked, it pretty tough but the crispy outside was nice and flavor good and the fried rice isnt the best I have ever had but most dishes have a sauce on the meat part and mixes well with the rice to make the rice so good! Staff are always very friendly and helpful, we will keep going here.“

“Stopped in to grab dinner before getting on the road back home. The place has a nice atmosphere, spacious, friendly staff, and delicious food. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and pepper steak with white rice. The roll was perfect but I must say the pepper steak was spicier than I expected so beware. Other than that great and fast service.“

“Ordered to go, and everything was delicious. We had a crew so quite a big order of beef and broccoli, general tso chicken, kung pao chicken, vegetable mei fun, spare ribs, wonton soup, crab rangoons, chicken fried rice, and egg rolls. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the kung pao chicken and vegetable mei fun which were both very flavorful. I usually need to add soy sauce to mei fun, but not this one. The rangoons had the imitation crab meat in them, not just cream cheese. Definitely going to be my go to take out spot from now on.“

“I have yet to find a Chinese takeout place to rival Chinese Kitchen. 100% without a doubt the BEST crab Rangoons I’ve ever had. Great lo mein and protein entrees too. The only thing I dislike is the fried rice, but they have so many other good things that I don’t even miss the rice. I graduated from LSU a couple years ago and still make the occasional 20+ minute commute to come here“

“I used a third party service delivery to the home for an order of snow crabs potatoes and corn. Omg the cajun mild flavor was amazing. It was delicious. Forgive the picture I was so hungry I took a picture midway. Next time I will dine in. Thank you for the delicious crabs. You all can bottle up the sauce and sell it. Yum!!!“

“I had the honey chicken wings with vegetable lo mien, I would say it was good and fresh. The wings were a little on the sweet side but not too bad. The noodles were delicious. I would definitely order again. The fried dumplings were probably a 4 out of 10. They were really greasy and kind of pricey. I also had a Lemonade , it was delicious however just a tad bit on the sweet side. The service was quick but they are kind of unfriendly over the phone, and not too friendly in person either. The atmosphere was ok but looks like it would be better to take your food to go. Overall I would rate this place 8/10 ❤“

“I ordered food from Great Wall in Baker, LA, and the entire order was incorrect. I was also charged for eggs that I did not order, and I was told I should have a receipt. I specifically ordered Butterfly Shrimp, but I received something completely different.

This was my third time eating here, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I was very disappointed with the food, the accuracy of the order, and the overall service. In the future, I’ll choose to drive across town to Baton Rouge for a better experience.“
