“Love this family run place. Order take out about once every 2 weeks or so. Everything is really good & fresh. Me love the Shrimp Fried Rice as 1 dish standard and then the floor is open for everything else like: orange chicken, General T bird, beef & broc, egg drop soup are any always favorite...Parking: It's a small shopping center with several food shops, all of which are good and worthy of your appetite. Even the daiquiri bar is a good place.“
“I love this place. Super quick times, like 10 minutes or so. Food quality and selection is excellent. I normally order the General Tso Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup and the Fried Dumplings. I could drink the dumplings dipping sauce! My normal order is enough for two people with leftovers.“
“Was on the fence about trying this new place because I loved Lotus Garden and the reviews were mixed. But decided to judge for myself and went to try it today. was I ever impressed! The Mongolian Grill was superb, the hot and spicy soup was the best I'd ever had. So was the rest of the plentiful buffet. On top of great food, the service was very good , very attentive . Will definitely be back. Janice Savoy“
“Friendly and polite staff. Orders completed promptly. Ordered Bourbon Chicken, fried rice with an egg roll. Egg roll crunchy with good flavor. Bourbon chicken was mild tasting. Wasn't bad, just milder than I would have preferred. I have been eating at China One for a number of years and would highly suggest going there.“
“Sincerely the best Chinese food in lafayette and the surrounding area. The family is trained in culinary arts, has been serving college kids and the rest of us for decades, many dishes -menu especially- are from scratch and the beef egg rolls are their own classic recipe. Delish!!! Hot and sour dumpling soup will knock out any cold AND put a pep in your step!!Vegetarian options: Many flexKid-friendliness: Kids love it!Parking: Easy“
“I love ordering take-out from here. I have tried various dishes on their menu, all delicious. Food is served hot and cooked when ordered. Prices are budget friendly, $15/person. Service is prompt, efficient, friendly. I have been ordering from this establishment since it opened years ago. Keep up the great work...“
“Server was awesome!!! Food was fresh and delicious! Atmosphere was great, until a dog came in with owner. Not so appropriate or appealing when you're dining at a buffet restaurant!! Dog hairs could easily fall off into the food!!! That grossed me out so my party and I left early!“
“Fabulous! Some of the best Chinese food in Lafayette. We had Steamed Chicken Dumplings,2 orders of Spring rolls,Cheese Wontons,Egg Drop Soup large,Shrimp fried rice large,Pork Mei Fun,Daily special Sweet and Sour Chicken,Daily special Shrimp lo mein.Great taste and lots of food!“
“This is my absolute favourite go-to lunch spot in Lafayette. Everything about it is so perfect, from the food, to the service, to the price, to the restaurant itself. I've previously left a glowing review on China Wok in Baton Rouge, which was my go-to spot before I moved; this restaurant tops even that one.I think my only complaint is that the soy sauce at the table is so intensely salty. I'd prefer a lower sodium option, ideally even a different brand since all of Kikkoman's soy sauce tends to just taste like liquid salt.- - - The Food - - -The food is consistently good for a buffet. It doesn't seem to matter when you come in; even at its worst (around 3pm on a weekday, give or take), it only ever goes down to the level of "okay".I always get the following: baked fish (lunch only), chicken on a stick, fried chicken wings, butterfly shrimp, sushi, lo mein, and sautéed mushrooms. They also offer: cheesy imitation crab, crawfish (dinner only), garlic toast, fried corn nuggets, fried banana, fried fish, stuffed crab shells, crab rangoon, pork egg rolls, potato wedges, a few types of sushi, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, fried rice, lo mein, butter shrimp, pepper steak, chicken w/ mixed veg, seafood delight, sautéed mushrooms, general tso chicken, cheesecake, oranges, pineapple, peaches, pears, honeydew, cantaloupe, lemons, peppers, red gelatin, chocolate cake, chocolate or vanilla or strawberry ice cream, chocolate or vanilla pudding, blue raspberry popsicles, and stick-in-the-muds.Be careful with the soy sauce at the table, as it's rather salty; I believe it's the original one, not low sodium. I personally make sure to scoop a fair bit of brown sauce from my entree of choice at the buffet, that way I don't need to use as much soy sauce at the table.- - - The Service - - -Service is fast and friendly yet never overbearing, the chef in particular is super nice and will be happy to replenish your favourites first if you ask politely.- - - The Price - - -It is SO CHEAP! Just under $10 per person (not including drink; water is free) for lunch, $13 for dinner. Cutoff between lunch and dinner is 4pm.- - - The Restaurant- - -It's small, clean, relatively quiet even at peak hours, conveniently right off the interstate. There's lots of natural light, yet even during the summer it's nice and cool inside. A mix of traditional and pop Chinese music usually plays in the background.Parking: The spots in front of the restaurant are usually all full, so if you don't see one right away, it's easier to just park on the side nearer to Domino's, even if it's a bit of a walk.Kid-friendliness: Not as many kid-friendly options as other Chinese buffets, but there are a few. Kids might like the fried chicken wings, potato wedges, butterfly shrimp, crawfish, and desserts.Wheelchair accessibility: Great wheelchair accessibility! From ramps onto the curb, to relatively easy-to-pull doors, to spacious layouts in the dining room and bathrooms, to large tables out in the open, to buffet lines no more than two trays deep. The wheelchair accessible parking nearest to the restaurant is always available. Mind the potholes in the parking lot, though.“
“I had a Shredded beef and beans hot plate, phillie cheese steak empanadas, and xxx hot shrimp. All three were amazing. when I ate it I almost cried I was so thankful. It was extremely unexpected after comming in here on a whim when all the Pho shops are closed. Get that Shredded beef and bean hot plate!! I'll est here every time I'm in lafayette for work now.“
“This is my second time here. I really enjoy their food and the sushi is delicious also. I pricing is good and more affordable than most locations in the lafayette area. I also enjoy their packaging of the food. It so nice. These are hard working family trying to make a living. Reminds me of my parents. Their kids are also good helping their parents out in the front while their parents make the food. I've been to some of these so call high end restaurants that are hyped up. Food are garbage ,overpriced, and they don't put attention into packaging. But to me the mom and pop shop are the one who are winners !!“
“I LOVE this place. I could eat until I'm full and barely look like I made a dent in my meal. The serving sizes are wonderful, enough for 3 more days of enjoying. The prices for the quality and quantity is SUPER cheap. I would recommend this place to everyone. Love you Kevin <3“
“Very homey and hole-in-the-wall spot. Often these have the best food and this was no exception - I think this place has the best pho in Lafayette. The broth was so savory and piping hot. Lots of toppings, and the chicken was very good quality. The egg rolls tasted homemade and fresh. Took a star off for service because they were understaffed at dinner so there was only one server. She did a great job tho despite being alone. I was very happy with the condiments provided at the table - everything from hot chili flakes to spicy mustard. Would return.“
