We had a couple of cyclones (like a dairy queen blizzard) and they were really good (and really cold). Awful parking though - park, get your order, and then leave and eat it somewhere else so you can free up a parking space”

“I have been eating at Fatty's for 20 years. I have never had a bad meal. It is a small mom and pop with a big heart. Come with a empty belly because you will have plenty to fill it. They have a daily special plate and a consistent menu. One of my favorite goto spot when im in the area.”

“Mama’s Kitchen was recommended to us by Dominique at the Whitney Plantation when we asked where we could find authentic southern food. My partner ordered the gumbo and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn. I had the fried chicken and fries. My partner summed it up perfectly as we were heading back to NOLA: “It didn’t feel like a restaurant. It felt like we were sitting at someone’s table and mom was cooking in the kitchen.” The service, food, and atmosphere were all truly wonderful!”
