“Great place for breakfast or maybe just a hamburger. The food is wonderful at a reasonable price . I only wish they had a single cup of coffee price . That's all I need , 1 cup , I don't sit there talking with friends for an hour or two drinking cup after cup. I do like my coffee with my breakfast but not for aprox $4.00/w tax for 1 cup .
Other than that this place is Awesome.“

“I took my kids and friend there on yesterday to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. After receiving our food, the waitress asked if everything was ok. I informed her that my shrimp was over cooked and was very hard to chew. She said she would inform the manager….we waited 8 minutes and no manager came. We watched him walk back and forth without ever acknowledging me. When the waitress passed back I asked her what did he say, she said oh, he said that how they cook it. Finally after 5 minutes or so he came, saw and said him self that my shrimp was overcooked and that he’ll be back. I waited and waited he never came back. I had the shrimp poboy that had a total of 5 and a half shrimp on it. It was like they took pieces of crust and stuck it between bread. My friend got up and stopped him to ask what’s going on because he never came back. He told her that I couldn’t be accommodated because I ate some it. They were all very unprofessional. I’ll never go back there. That definitely not how you handle business and the customer.“

“Indoors was full so we chose to eat outside rather than leave and I’m so glad we did! We had our daughter so they even offered to bring an additional fan to point towards her. They were very attentive and kind the entire time. We ordered an appetizer and our two entrées and everything was GREAT! Bonus points everyone eating there just like us were just the sweetest as they were passing us walking in and out of the restaurant! And no I don’t think that was coincidence or luck, that Park Bistro and its service just attracts those type of people! Most definitely will be back and will recommend to others!“

“Mandez’s is where we chose to have a much needed and overdue date night. Our waitress went above and beyond. We ordered the seafood nachos for an appetizer. Amazing! I ordered the crab cake dinner with a side of eggplant fries and a side salad with the pepper jelly vinaigrette. Crab cakes were flaky and cooked to perfection. Eggplant fries were crispy and not greasy. paired so well with the dip. Side salad was fresh , pepper jelly vinaigrette had the right amount of zing., and the pickled okra was the chef’s kiss! My husband ordered the shrimp basket and had no complaints. We loved that the dining area was small but well laid out. Great atmosphere! I can’t speak of the bathrooms because I didn’t need to use them while there. Definitely recommend!“

My boyfriend ordered a Caribbean jerk chicken sandwich for pickup. I got a very apologetic call that they were out of that particular chicken and offered to sub the chicken. No problem! When I picked up the order, she remembered and apologized again. It was delicious. My son’s burger was perfect and so was mine. We will be back again ❤️“

“I've only ever gone through the drive thru but their drinks are always really good!! associates are very nice as well. the only complaint I'd actually have is something that's completely out of the employees control.... I've noticed that my drink will slowly seep out of the small holes in my styrofoam cup. my hands will get sticky so ill wash them and wipe the cup, only to see little beads of red liquid on the outside of my cup again. I have really bad sensory issues so this is enough to push me to another brand unfortunately 😭“

“Looked for a sit down crawfish boiler between Ville Platte and Lafayette that was boiling for lunch on a Saturday. Cankton Cafe was one of the few sit down places open and boiling. The place was easy to find with plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the crawfish seasoning and quality was above average. Definitely a small town restaurant worth taking a detour for.“

“Im giving this place 5 stars on the frozen margaritas alone.(.its not top shelf ...but for what it is...its in the upper tier for these types of places as far as frozen drinks go)I bought a gallon for myself my significant other to share....it cost 35 dollars....and they gave us two normal sized Styrofoam cups. The mix tasted really good and the tequila was quality...we didn't need extra shots at all....infact it, about two and a half cups she was giving all manner of indignant speeches against various injustices. I don't drink alot but the mix tastes pretty good and with it being so hot, before I knew it, I was a little indignant myself! ??For an early friday night, it did not look very busy. Two 30 something guys were having a drink on the back porch but that was about it...seemed like a chill place....I imagine they sell alot of drive thru frozen drinks...and Thats fine because they are good at making them. Not a huge amount of lighting in the parking lot...had to really look for it at night, having never been there...but it looks like a great friendly place for good natured every day people to have a drink. Person at the window was friendly.Definitely will order again when we come back to Lafayette..“
