I had phone-ordered three lunches to-go but, changed our minds after walking into the restaurant. We decided to stay and eat in the great atmosphere. We're looking forward to our next trip there for more food and atmosphere.”

“The service in the place is very good, the only drawback is that there is only one person serving the interior area and it is the same person who attends the window, so whoever arrives first is served, but on a day of hard work someone will have to wait a long time. to be the next to receive service, the atmosphere is also good but it would be much better if they included more than one table inside or perhaps a very small living room”

I will say Billy’s is a must stop even if not staying in the area. We brought a bunch home. Used the leftover crawfish boudin from the night before with scrambled eggs the next morning! “The Hive Burger: The incredibly fresh meat was perfectly complimented by the juicy red tomatoes,crisp lettuce, and pickles so fresh they were almost cucumbers! It has been a long time since I’ve had a hamburger that tasted like somebody put effort into it with vegetables that could have been used for a salad instead of hidden between buns. Also, don’t skip on the chocolate chip cookie!”

“Chose Pizza Amore for a team dinner while visiting for a soccer tournament in the area. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. Jerry and Heidi were awesome. “My husband and I travel to southern Louisiana the first weekend in May every year to partake in the crawfish festival. As a result, we like to dine at as many local establishments as possible and we always try to give an elaborate, detailed review. Let me preface this by saying I come from a family that owned a restaurant for 24 years and I have high standards. Since we come to town for crawfish, that is usually the first thing on the menu. It is not my favorite, but my husband loves it. So he ordered the crawfish(platter I think) which was a couple pounds with corn and potatoes. We were offered regular or spicy. Right here is where things get different. We eat a LOT of crawfish down here and we do our own crawfish boils. You can choose “spicy” and obtain that by leaving them in the pot for a few extra minutes to soak up the seasonings and they will be “spicy”. However, there are a few places that try to obtain the “spicy” by adding a powdered heat to it after they have been removed from the pot. If you like that way, that’s fine. We do not. We find that all it does is get all over your hands and face and really doesn’t add very much flavor to the meat at all. Each to their own. On the flip side. The crawfish were cooked and presented well and they were priced right. I had fried catfish. This too presented its own problems since it was brought on a basket, but I didn’t receive any napkins, a plate, or a fork. I did go and ask for them and received all of them. I realize that most people are ok to eat certain things with their hands, but I am a nurse by trade and I know what is lurking around on people’s hands. There will never be a day when I will eat anything with my hands. On the flip side. The catfish was phenomenal!! It was seasoned to perfection! Cooked exquisitely well and served hot! On a scale of 1-10. I’d give them a 7.5. It was good. The things they did good, they did really good.”

“I would like to share my experience while visiting Tropical Smoothie Cafe. First, I'd like to say this was my first experience; however, certainly not my last. I was promptly greeted by the friendly staff. I placed my order and thoroughly paid attention to the young lady preparing my food. I believe her name was Carsen. It was a special order, and Carsen did not disappoint. When we look at food, we see its color, shape, texture, etc. These visual cues can influence how we think the food will taste. My food was exactly what I ordered and appealed to my eye, which translated to a wonderful experience all around. Again, it was my first time visiting this location, and I can say with sheer confidence, it won't be my last. Thank you, staff at Tropical Smoothie Cafe Carencro.”
