“We are there week before last. Our whole party of 4 loved the food. I don’t remember everyone else’s meals, but I had a huge bowl of deliciousness involving shrimp and penne noodles in a cream sauce that was SO GOOD! Portions were large! I like to eat, but I couldn’t finish it! Great food, reasonable price, good atmosphere, and good service. Next time we are in Natchez, we’ll go back!“

“Edit 2024: New owners, and still awesome. The hotel... not good at all. Going to give them one more try to see if they get it together, but the restaurant is still on point.2018 review - We didn't stay at the main house; instead, we just stopped in for brunch at the Castle Restaurant behind the house. I had my doubts all the way until I swung open the massive, wooden door, and was greeted by a wonderful Hostess, a grand fireplace right in the entrance, and the smell of bacon frying. For whatever reason, the hostess, servers, and other patrons were speaking in almost a whisper. I'm not certain if this is typical of this place or perhaps just a fluke that morning, but my entire table disregarded that "custom", and spoke in a respectfully audible tone. The place had an awesome feel about it (speaking of the upstairs); both unequivocally aged, and pleasantly sophisticated. The mimosas were outstanding, and the food was good. Really good!Having brunch here gave me that feeling that I used to get when I was a kid and would travel with my parents and stay in very old bed and breakfasts set in old houses and old schools, and always with large fireplaces as the centerpieces. We intend to revisit this restaurant again this year.“

“The Restaurant 1818 is a wonderful choice for anyone in Natchez and is especially convenient for guests at Monmouth Home. The restaurant is very beautifully decorated with period furnishings. The atmosphere is great and the food is top notch. The service staff are all first class, very friendly and helpful. The cocktails are excellent and the small lounge to the rear of the restaurant is really nice.Vegetarian options: Some non-meat and seafood dishesDietary restrictions: Staff will try to assist with restrictions you make them aware ofParking: Free lot in frontKid-friendliness: More an adult environmentWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible“

“EVERY SINGLE THING IN THIS RESTURANT IS ABSOLUTLEY MIND BLOWING. The chicken, fish, and seafood menu items have never disappointed me and i went there at least twice a week when i lived in Mississippi. Of all things that I missed about that short period, This place is at the top of that list.“
“Great little dive bar full of stuff all over the walls and ceilings! Most of it was nautical as expected, you could spend weeks there and notice something different each visit! Beer prices were cheaper than expected! Nothing on tap, but a quaint little historic building with good bar tenders! Wonder how all the dollar bills got on the ceiling!“

“As a child I remember seeing Mammy’s Cupboard on Highway 61 and was fascinated by the huge woman design. Unfortunately we were always in a hurry and did not get to stop. To me this is a great piece of Americana from a period when people did not take everything so seriously. We were thrilled to find them open on a recent trip. The food is great and they offer half-portions of their huge sandwiches on request. The staff is super friendly and made our visit memorable.Vegetarian options: A few non-meat dishesDietary restrictions: Staff will assist with any restrictions you make them aware ofParking: Large free parking lotKid-friendliness: Fully kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Largely acceptable“

“There is a very good reason why this Malt Shop has been around for so many years, it's delicious! On our visit on a particularly hot hot and humid day this ice cream is exactly what we needed to cool down. We were only in town for a short while but my husband, a Natchez native, raves about his childhood memories of coming to the Malt Shop as a special treat. Although we did not order any sustenance from the food menu I totally believe that it is just as good.“

“The meat wasn't very over smoked. It had an exact good smoked flavor. The meat was nice and tender. Good portions for the priceWheelchair accessibility: If you have a motorized wheelchair it is acceptable if you park up on the hill. But if you have one that you have to push yourself, I would park on the lower part but it is wheelchair accessible“

“Our server, Linda, was very sweet & attentive, the biscuits with apricot butter were amazing (wanted to order more, but didn't dare, lol!) & the food was very good. I'm only giving 4 stars for the food, because my husband & I both ordered grilled shrimp & they were a little over-cooked, but otherwise tasted good. Will definitely come back on future trips to Natchez......!“

“Lots of great options on their menu. Kid friendly too, which was important for us for lunch. The staff was friendly and timely on refills...considering we were seated upstairs, says a great deal about our server. The gar-mesan fries were excellent. I had the Chessus, which tasted great, but was a little more difficult to eat than I initially thought it would be due to fingers going through the grilled cheese sandwich "buns", but did not regret ordering it at all. Very much recommend and we will be back.Kid-friendliness: Only 3 options, but that was enough for us. Grilled cheese and chicken tenders are usually great options to have for kids and they have both.“

“Really enjoyed the atmosphere and service here during our overnight stop in Natchez. And the food was DELISH!! We had the Alfredo chicken pasta, Farfalle pasta, tuna salad, and pepperoni flatbread pizza and garlic bread for appetizer. The portions on the pasta dishes were huge and they came with a side salad. Yummy (sweet) dressing to dip the garlic bread! Highly recommend!!!!“
“If you're looking for that hole in the wall place that all the locals know is good, this is it. All the food is cooked fresh when you order. My favorite is the Philly cheesesteak on Texas toast. But whatever you get will be good. Jimmy, Debbie and their great staff always greet each person with a big smile and a friendly welcome. Don't pass this place by!“

“This shop is a little slice of heaven! Stopped in from New Orleans with my husband and daughter to try some cookie dough and we were surprised with so much more. Everything surpassed our expectations. The friendliest and most helpful service/shop owner, delicious cookie dough and coffee, play area for our toddler, games to play at our table, and a fun shopping area. Atmosphere is undeniably a vibe! Can’t wait to come back, thank you for such a pleasant experience.“
