“The Anchuca Historic Mansion and Inn is as beautiful as it is interesting. The interior decor is lovely and the guest rooms are grand. This is a really nice place to stay and the restaurant is first class. The owners are very friendly as are the entire staff. “I hear it’s closing? Oh my lord. My son get my BDay dinner there since my 30s 68 now. Love the rib eye and fried shrimp. Well February my bd have to fix my self. Hope the best if closing. Had the time of my life there when younger. Best food was allways in that area.“
“I am well please with The Gumbo Pot catering. They catered a business function for me and DID NOT MISS!!! Everyone loved everything from the steaks to the white chocolate bread pudding!! Both the food and service were absolutely amazing. The owner had great communication prior to the event and perform a post event follow-up. That type or engagement doesn't happen often and for that not only do I highly recommend this establishment but I will also be back!“
“Great restaurant in a beautiful older home. The service was amazing, there were smiles all across the restaurant. The food was great typical southern food with rotating specials available too. A big list of dessert cakes and pies to choose from, I couldn't pick just 1 and brought 4 home with me.“
“Hmm that's a place I grew up around. Since my Dad farmed right behind it. Every morning breakfast and lunch and sometimes super LoL. I remember seeing the White kids playing in the floor. When Glen and Glenda White was working. Dang that's been some years and years ago LoL ??“
“Last summer I went on a date and ordered the same thing I ordered several times before that. I was disappointed to find that the thick cut pork chop was no longer. It was a thin cut pork chop and it tasted vacuum sealed. Before getting on here and leaving a review, I, instead called for the Chef/Owner. He promptly and politely came over and spoke to me. I asked him what was up with the cut of meat I was served; told him I always get the same dish and it was definitely different. He explained their new way of preparing the pork chop...I politely told him, Noooo Sir, please keep it the same as before! I also suggested to him how he could prepare his brussels, as they were very tough the way they prepared them. He took my advice, thanked me for my input and invited me back as he handed me a very generous gift card.Well fast forward.....We dined there for my sons 20th birthday and everything was devine, minus a few little details they could work on but, nothing worth fussing over.Chef isn't always in the kitchen, he stands at the window watching everyone/everything and making sure that quality control is being controlled. It's a wonderful dining experience...Again, things aren't perfect but nothing ever is. The one star reviews are by amateurs and/or Karens. Ive always had a great experience every time and Nick (our waiter) also made it worthwhile. He was great!Sincerely,A self taught Chef ?“
