I heard she’s back but I haven’t seen her? Anyways, the drinks miss her. The regulars miss her. Los Ponchos fam, I’ve gotta say — the bar just hasn’t quite been the same without her. “Great authentic Mexican food restaurant inside of the City Point gas station. The woman working there is so sweet and makes the best food. This restaurant used to be open across the street at the Exxon years ago, but now they just reopened here. I remember how busy they were because of the amazing food. I used to go everyday back then. I love the atmosphere of the place. The music in the gas station is also very nice.“

“Great experience! As soon as we arrived, the hostess met us with a smile and friendly demeanor. The premises were vibrant with colors and traditional music on the background, while we enjoyed the flavors of the food. I ordered the “Mexican Po’boy with Carnitas” and it was exactly what I was expecting. The traditional “bolillo bread” was lightly toasted and the carnitas were cocked to perfection. We also ordered mini tacos with flour tortillas and steak, even when the meat was a little overcooked, the spicy salsa complemented them to perfection! They have delicious “agua frescas” and regular cocktails. I truly felt like I was back in Mexico. The food feels truly homemade and it brings great memories. I would definitely recommend it and will bring my family next time they visit!“

I will leave one: I just bought a dozen tamales and the elderly man was not pleasant. He was rude. He threw my tamales in a plastic bag and when I grabbed it, it was so hot I almost dropped it. He literally put the tamales in a plastic bag and not in a cardboard or a paper plate. Just a loose bag. I will not be back. “Went to a bithday party there Sat. night and there ended up being 60 people in the group. We had 1 waiter Antonio that took all our orders, and everyones was correct. “This is our neighborhood favorite Cocina Mexicana! The speed of service will beyond impress and your taste buds will write you a thank you card. The staff is very friendly and it is clear that service is important from front of house to back. My wife and I come once a week at least and we love being here as well as the Moss Bluff location.

“Went here cause nothing else was open yet and I was craving a fajita plate. The staff was super nice and welcoming and there was no wait considering it was 3pm on a Wednesday. The food was alright the cheese on the nachos was amazing however I should’ve asked for more queso and pico. My fajita plate was a little disappointing because it was just a small steak on top of sizzling onions and a jalapeno. It wasn’t seasoned or anything like an actual fajita plate so it let me down but the Mexican rice was really good so it was able to cover the straight meaty flavor from the fajita. My mom got the crawfish enchilada and was blown away by it and 100% recommends it. To end it all off we had gotten the tres leches for desert and it was so dang good that we almost ate it all despite being full.“
