It had the right amount of mayo, lettuce and tomatoes, also fresh and good quality.Coke zero is in bottle and cans. The bottles cost like 50 cents more than the can, because there is more in the bottle than the can.The lady that waited on my table was very nice. She brought out the food to me, and checked in at appropriate times. Very good service. The fries were excellent. At first they looked like they may have been cooked well done, but they were perfect.All in all, good meal, good price, nice people, good service. I recommend, and I would eat there again.“

“I ventured to Lafayette to attend Festival International. Since I had the morning and most of the afternoon free the day after my arrival I decided to head to Vermillionville to explore the historic village and have lunch at La Cuisine de Maman. What a great decision!! The food at the restaurant was delicious. I had the plate lunch with a cup of seafood gumbo to start. Everything was really good. The plate lunch that day was crawfish etouffee over rice, smothered green beans, fried shrimp with tartar sauce, and a big biscuit. Portions were very generous; I thought that some of the food might overflow onto the table.😊 I didn't have room for dessert; although I've since been told by lots of people that I should have taken it with me. After eating, I explored the village. What an amazing blend of history and culture it is! I can't wait to return.“

“Lack luster gumbo: Arrived just after opening, ordered chicken and sausage gumbo with extra rice. Gumbo arrived and was luke warm. Had a overpowering taste of roux which really made the meal unworthwhile. I've eaten at Chris's a number of times before and not had this issue so there is the unknown of why it was soo bad this time. I will think twice before visiting again.“

“We live in New Orleans and visit Jefferson Island and Cafe Jefferson once a year or so. We end up coming for brunch and staying 3 to 4 hours. The food is wonderful! On our last visit, October 5, 2024, our group ordered crab meat au gratin, chicken sauce piquant, eggplant Michelle, and crawfish etouffee. Cajun staples. Guess what? They were better than my mama makes. Better than I make! Also, where can you have food and drink on land at 75 feet elevation overlooking the water in south Louisiana? Nowhere else but Jefferson Island. Thanks to Mike Richard and his staff for making this such an inviting place to get together with friends and enjoy the beautiful paradise that south Louisiana is. We'll be back. We always will. Come and tour the Joseph Jefferson Home and enjoy the restaurant, the gardens, the grounds, the history, the lake, Delcambre, and New Iberia.“
