The NEXT DAY THEY WHERE STILL PLAYING PING PONG I hope this was long enough.“
“My fiancée and I visited this Location on March 22nd. Our waitress was Michelle. Food was awesome.Michelle was very professional and very friendly.I would definitely be Come in back frequently. She ordered the Seafood platter, which was amazing.I ordered a Ribeye It was like butter.Parking: Parking was amazing park directly in front of restaurant“
“OTR Truck drivers who stopped in. I was craving oysters & used Google to find this spot. So glad we dined here. Everything was GREAT! Our waitress, Kat, was friendly, knowledgeable, very attentive. She took care of us. The food was delicious. My hubby was very pleased. He lived in Louisiana so he his familiar with Cajun Seafood & he saids Uncle T's was spot on. I even brought a T-shirt. We got dessert to go, cheesecake. We really enjoyed our whole experience. Ms. Kat made it better. (Thank you) We will be back & have recommended it to our other trucker friends. It's worth it!“
“I had the pleasure of having the best fried shrimp poboy since I left New Orleans. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the bread is very much like New Orleans poboy bread. Very fast service. I loved being in there. Reminded me of the hole in the wall places I used to visit when I lived in South Louisiana. While I was waiting, I was ecstatic to see a bag of Elmer's Chee Wees. I grew up eating these. It's an old New Orleans product. I came back here at least three times on my trip. I also had the Monday night special of the meatball poboy. It was also delicious but I just love shrimp so went back to order that again and again.“
“Home based atmosphere where the employees will learn your name and treat you like family! They will yell out your name and say, "Hey, guy's Coco is here, let's get his order up. Following, they'll say, thank you Coco! Gotta love these guys!“
“This restaurant is a gem. It's hard to beat food of this quality at a truck stop considering what type of restaurants most of them have. I got the shrimp Alfredo and it was fantastic. I will be eating here every time I come by this place.“
“This was my first true experience with the incredible cuisine they refer to as Creole. Aside from my wife's Haitian cooking which is a bit different from the Louisiana interpretation. The Creole Lunch is very unassuming I'm appearance, and easy to miss if you are not looking. Nestled on the side of the road, I noticed the sign and the grassy parking lot. The inside is literally the inside of a house, giving it welcoming appeal. The place is a local, family-owned establishment and it shows in the food and hospitality. Now the matter of the food. It is bleeping epic! Everything I ate, and I ate half my weight in food, was delicious! The Jambalaya was spicy, savory, and teeming with flavor. As was the pork with dirty rice and collard greens. The food was so good, I ordered the Catfish Po Boy as a second entree and ate the whole damn thing. Needless to say it was life-changing. I left here full and sleepy. A meal I will remember for the rest of my life.Parking: A huge grassy lot that has plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families, the locals of course, in here all of the time.“
“Very clean and nice place. If you are passing through, make sure to bring an ice chest so you can take some of their frozen goodies home to enjoy! The gumbo was absolutely delicious, my only regret was not getting more containers! Their boudin is delicious! We got these seafood boudin balls with jalapeño jack cheese and boy did they not disappoint! My husband prefers the seafood boudin but I prefer the good ole pork boudin. Definitely make a stop here if you are in the area, it will not disappoint!! They also serve links fresh so you can nibble on some down the road while keeping your cold items fresh in the cooler.Parking: There is a small part on the side that says do not park but otherwise there is plenty of parking on the side of the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice spacious room inside and parking outside“
“Always on the lookout for good local cooking, I stumbled upon Glenda's Creole kitchen. Never decisive, I was able to get both the smothered ribs and the red beans and sausage with two sides, corn and white beans. The woman who served me was patient and helpful as she described what some of the options were. For $12, I got a large plate of food that will give me at least one other meal. The rib was delicious with a good amount of meat on the bone and the beans and sausage were equally flavorful. If you're looking for fancy atmosphere or someplace romantic, this is not the place to go. If you're more interested in good food than decor, the rustic, homey and somewhat chaotic atmosphere is perfect.Thankfully, their visit by Anthony Bourdain has not seemed to change their way of doing business.“
“Service was amazing. We went on a very busy Friday afternoon during lent and food came out in a timely manner. The drinks did take a little longer to come out but the bar was packed. The frozen margarita was the best but the one on the rocks was very strong. We had the Fried Crab Claws appetizer and they were just ok. Not my favorite (but it's not the time for crabs so it's ok). I had the zydeco shrimp and the mac and cheese and my fiancé had the 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 étouffée with grits on the side as the main meal. We both agree that this is the best shrimp we've ever had. I cannot stop thinking about the zydeco sauce. It has the perfect out of spice and sweetness. The Mac and cheese was very creamy and perfect. The grits were not our favorite. They were a little too creamy for us. The deserts were the best! We shared between four people and had a good bit of bread pudding left over. The ice cream brownie was good, you really can't mess that up. The bread pudding was amazing. The consistency was perfect and the rum sauce was amazing! Overall, love love love the environment and food. Will definitely be returning.“
“OMG!! This is my new must-go to lunch place. Today, 2 of my siblings and I had lunch here. (It is only open for lunch … and only a few times a week). I had the roast beef sandwich…amazing!! My sister had the chicken salad and she loved it! My brother had the special of the day -stuffed meatloaf, honey carrots and cheesy broccoli….TO DIE FOR!! DDee is a one-woman show and this place was adorable.“
“We were looking for local cuisine and had The Vermilionville Restaurant recommended to us. My husband ordered the Jambalaya, my daughter ordered the Gumbo, while I ordered the baked potato to have room for bread pudding. All were delicious!I loved the many windows and brightness of the dining room. I also enjoyed the art by a local artist.“
“We are SO LUCKY to have Crawfish Jake’s in our neighborhood. The cleanest crawfish around, peel like a dream, and so delicious. The people are the kindest and genuinely hoping you enjoy your crawfish. We had them last night and I wish we could have them again tonight. Get the Big Jake. You won’t be sorry!“
“CoffeeDepot made our special day even more special!!! thank you so much for the great service and the wonderful meal and the smiley face beignets that you so generously gave us !!! adoption day - fully comped meal for 9 people - we certainly chose the best place to celebrate!! thank you from the bottom of our hearts.“
“I had an early flight out and stopped here before going to the airport and so glad I did. Had a cinnamon twist and a glazed that was still warm at 5:40 AM. They are delicious. How people working can be that friendly that early is beyond me but I appreciated it nonetheless. Great experience!“
“Went in for the first time today to try the Reuben. By far the best sandwich I've ever had. Told them it was my first time and I was a college student and not only did they give me a discount but a free cookie as well. Found my new favorite lunch spot for sure!“
“Visited October 18, 2023.Vermillonville is a “living” museum, a reconstructed Acadian village from the 18th and 19th centuries (1765-1890). It is possible to attend a small concert in Cajun French depending on the day of visit. The video is in the restaurant and boutique sector. There were lots of beautiful handmade things there, and so inexpensive!.“
“Tonight was the second time dining at Cafe Josephine's. As a delectable repeat the crab egg rolls were ordered. The crab meat tonight was not spoiled but far from fresh tasting. Did eat almost half trying to convince otherwise. On another note, the waitstaff both times were service oriented and accommodating, thank youVegetarian options: an adjacent diner had macaroni and cheese while I had the roasted brussels sprouts“
“Love this location and really love the fact they have a Bourque’s market in Laffeyette. Well worth the visit you won’t be disappointed. They have an amazing staff that will greet you with a smile as soon as you walk in the door. They offer a wide range of food options from fresh and hot food to cold foods to take home and store for cooking. I personally love the jalapeño sausage cheese bread defiantly try it if your in the area.Parking: Big open parking lot shared with maybe one other business but have a lot of room for parking. I have never had a problem finding parking .Kid-friendliness: You place to bring the family they have a good amount of space to sit and eat.Wheelchair accessibility: Has plenty of room for wheelchair access“
“We are from BR. Yelp told us about Soul Food near us. When I tell you the Tripe was so tender, tasty, and spicy I just want the world to know it!!! The price was so right! The container was extremely packed down with nicely cut portions of Tripe! GREAT JOB Alexander's Speciality Meats We can't wait to visit again 5 stars N&M Wilson“
“Came to the crawfish spot while in town for work as crawfish season is my favorite season. Nothing special about the decor but it's perfect for crawfish enthusiasts like myself. Plenty of parking as well. Kept it simple and ordered crawfish dip as well as some boiled crawfish with a level above mild seasoning. That dip was on of the best things I've ever put in my mouth, i could've ate that alone. The crawfish were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Now the seasoning wasn't hot per say but after a few pounds it was burning me up from the inside. Nonetheless the crawfish was good as I revisited the next day for all you can eat crawfish and at about 8-9lbs before tapping out, this time with mild seasoning. Service was pretty good. They were informative of the menu and regularly checked with us. 2nd day there was a bit of a struggle as they were training someone but nothing bad things just took a little longer. Will be back in next crawfish season to see if i can eat 10lbs or more in one sitting!“
“I usually eat here only during crawfish season, because their crawfish is the best in town!!! Today I was hungry for bbq and wasn’t sure where to get some from. Got on google and noticed they served bbq. OMG!!! I ordered a pork steak plate. The meat was falling off the bone. The taste was just right. Even the potato salad was perfect! I now have a go to spot for bbq here at this place. Do yourselves a favor and try them!!!!“
“Traditional food. Amazing taste. Don’t miss the sweet potato pancakes with pecans added. One of the best places to have breakfast in Lafayette! The coffee is also ready good and freshParking: Plenty of parking but sometimes it gets difficult because is a very busy restaurant. Plan ahead.“
“Food is very good! We always enjoy the food there. Plate lunches are a bit expensive, we ordered a pork chop plate and it came with onion rings and we wanted to replace the onion ring for mash potatoes and what we got was one pork chop in a empty to go plate with a very small cup with mash potatoes on the side for the same prize as if we would of had the onion rings in the plate and they charged extra for the small cup of mash potatoes. And we asked for gravy and there was no gravy. But we still love their food and their very friendly atmosphere! We still eat there we just don't order the pork chops .“
“My mom and I are on a plate lunch tour across Acadiana and Veronica's is currently our #1 out of 46 we've been to. Love the turkey wings, pot roast, dirty rice, etc. The Sunday bbq is awesome too, especially the pork steak and smoked sausage. Love“
