“Very good diner food. Ate there with my family and we all enjoyed our meals. The grilled muffins were solid but they did give us the wrong muffin (we didn’t get to try pistachio got chocolate chip instead).

Sandwiches were good. Breakfast quesadilla was very good but very big.

“8/6/21 Had breakfast here today. Got seated right away about 9-9:15am Waiter took order, BYO Breakfast sandwich with short stack, and 2 Scrambled eggs with sausage and home fries, and a popover. Saw other people come in after us, order, and be served. 🤔 After about 45 minutes, got up to ask where breakfast was; “it should be out soon” 🤷🏼‍♀️We we’re seriously contemplating getting up and leaving !! (Again, a breakfast sandwich, and 2 scrambled eggs!🤔) And it still wasn’t too busy in there. Our waiter didn’t come bring the food to the table, 2 other people did, never asked if things were ok. When he came to bring the bill, again never spoke to us, but, was talking to the table behind is. 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ It came HIGHLY recommended, but, we weren’t fans. Oh, and also on my “breakfast sandwich”, I got charged separately for the English Muffin!! 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s listed in the description as coming on an English Muffin, so, again…. Why being charged extra?!!🤷🏼‍♀️🤔 The popover was totally burnt and cold , and sausages over cooked and burned. 2 people- $34, Thanks, but no thanks! Service wasn’t that great! “We dined for lunch today. We had clam chowder quohaugs and salad. Everything was wonderful. The clam chowder so thick and full of clams. The quohaugs were amazing. The staff friendly efficient and so pleasant. We come every year and love our experience. Thank you again for a great lunch“

“We visited Sacred Cod Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, although the food took quite a long time to arrive even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy.

The warm bread is definitely a must-try! It comes fresh and soft in a cast-iron skillet, served with sweet, creamy butter. Such a simple dish, but one of the highlights of our meal.

We also tried the Chicken Cutlet Paillard, which was crispy and served with arugula and a tangy dressing that balanced the richness of the chicken nicely.

The swordfish was a little overcooked for my preference, but still enjoyable.

My favorite was the lobster pizza — absolutely delicious! The lobster paired especially well with the pesto sauce on top, which added a fresh, flavorful touch.

For a vegetarian option, the cauliflower is also worth considering.

Overall, Sacred Cod Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn is a beautiful spot to enjoy dinner while visiting Chatham, Cape Cod. The wait for the food could be improved, but the warm bread and lobster pizza were definitely the standouts for us.“

“A great place with great food and friendly service. The lobster bisque is the best I’ve ever had. The grilled lobster and cheese sandwich is to die for. I’ve had grilled swordfish here and always cooked to perfection. For the quality and quantity of food, the prices are really reasonable. I’ll be back!“
