“Food is fresh. Price is reasonable. I should have given it 5 stars for the good value. That's the good part. But, the service is BAD. The cashier/counter staff is RUDE. Maybe they expect every Asian-looking customers to speak Mandarin, maybe their English is just poor. Either way, the two women servicing the counter really did a very poor job at it. That's why I never leave tip, they don't deserve it. So, I average this out to a 4-star. I'll visit again, for the food. But, no tip...unless they improve their freaking attitude.“
“I love Sichuan mapo tofu, and I got to say, this place has a really good tasting mapo tofu. I just wish they would listen to requests. Before placing my order, I usually add a comment next to the dish, requesting for it to be extra spicy and numb, but when I order it, it doesn’t come out that way. It just seems like there’s not much consistency here. Sometimes I visit, and the mapo tofu is absolutely amazing(filled with Sichuan flavor), but other times it’s just ok. I don’t know if they constantly switch chefs, but just wish for a little consistency. This restaraunt is prob the only restaraunt in Boston area that has delicious Sichuan flavor from Chengdu so I’ll always be back. Hopefully things can improve a little bit though“
“The food here is absolutely amazing and definitely worth the wait. Expect a wait time of 30 minutes to an hour due to its popularity, but it's well worth it. It's a pretty small place but can seat a lot. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Personally, I tried the Swing Pork Belly, Yo-In-Style Ramen Noodles, Beef and Enoki Cabbage Soup, and Black Fish Fillet with Szechuan Pickles. The Swing Pork Belly with its incredible garlic sauce and the Beef and Enoki Cabbage Soup with the perfect amount of spice and meat were standouts. If I could dine at Mountain House for every meal, I definitely would.“
“I went on a business trip last week and tried Tao Xiaoyan's Sichuan cuisine. It was really delicious. It's the ceiling of Sichuan cuisine. The pickled fish is sour and spicy, the dry pot sausage is crispy and goes well with rice. Endless aftertaste! I will come again next time I go on a business trip. I highly recommend it to everyone!“
“Food is amazing! We had the Yunnan Potato Pancake but it's really taro. Also hear classic chicken and broccoli, LaLa beef, sweet sticky rice ball. Service was OK decent. Waiter was helpful in recommending dishes to us, but not the warmest. The restaurant was full, the waiters didn't rush us out. Environment and safety distance - Ambience is great. Spacious in between tables. It was full but didn't feel rushed. Noise level was good. You can hear other people's cheeriness but also able to have a private conversation.“
“Friendship BBQ is my go-to spot for mouthwatering barbecue in Boston. The food here never disappoints. The brisket is tender, and the sauces are a flavor explosion. Quick service and affordable prices make it even better. I keep coming back for more!“
“The orders are taken online, and no one helps even when asked for assistance. However, at the time of billing, they refuse to leave unless you tip them at least 15%. There's no escaping this situation.Fortunately, the food was the saving grace.“
“Come as hungry as you can so you can order more of the delicious food at Our Zone. We’ve ordered a solid chunk of the menu over our many visits here, and nothing disappoints. Seriously it’s all good, and it comes out in a jiffy… tasty spicy sichaun food! Faves include the twice cooked pork, chicken with chilis, the fish in special chili sauce, mapo tofu, and preserved egg. Oh, the preserved egg… yummm. This is all not mentioning how friendly the owner is… if you need help ordering she can give you suggestions. When you have Our Zone as an option other restaurants don’t always compare well.Vegetarian options: You can eat well as a veg at Our Zone. Just let them know :-)“
“Love this place so much--they're so good that my dad drove 2 hours out of state just so that visiting would overlap with getting takeout from here again. They have such a wide range and it's so, so good. We got the: 酸菜牛肉 - Sliced Beef & Pickled Cabbage and Chili and I can't stop thinking about it. I also usually get basically anything off the Szechuan Spicy Style section of the menu and I'm happy (especially the Sliced Chicken and Cabbage with Hot Chili Sauce). The dumplings are also very good, and hefty-- the meat feels wonderfully flavorful. Great place, love it a lot, figured I should leave a loving review.“
“Fresh and Fantastic! I stop here whenever I am in the area. Mostly takeout but there are a few tables , the staff at the counter is so nice what a great group of people! The food is fresh and so tasty, The takeout packaging was great plastic with lids not the old foam style which leak . The hot and sour soup is great and thanks to everyone there!“
“This is a hidden gem. They have authentic Szechuan dishes. The dumplings are homemade. You can taste the Quality in it. The fish in Mandarin sauce was amazing. The tuna taco was fresh and crispy. The gray short rib was so tender and favorful. The winter rose was scrumptious. The Dan Dan noodles was so soft and spicy. The fried rice was good. The rice roll in brown sugar was sweet and soft. It's pricey, but worth every penny. Staff was so helpful and nice. Definitely will be back“
“So good. Like going into Chinatown but with parking and good service ?2024 Update: This restaurant has been under new management (I believe it was sold to the previous owners god children) for a while now. Against all odds and expectations, it has gone from a really good spot to an even better, great restaurant. They have updated the menus, leaning harder into the authentic dishes that had set them apart, and brought an exciting energy. It's always bustling but never overwhelming. Welcoming and warm. It's so fun to watch old dishes that I loved get even better (ex. 3 cup tofu eggplant now has a smokey aspect that I didn't know I was missing) and to see the new owners make their mark. Thanks for bringing your passion, we are so proud of you and I am sure your god parents are too!“
“I ordered delivery tonight. Basil Fried Rice, Wonton Soup, Moo Shu Beef, and Boneless Chicken Wings.9 minutes later, my doorbell rang. I looked at a man holding a brown bag and I had no idea what it was. I stared at him and said, "Westwood Jade?" He said, "yes". Seemed impossible to cook and deliver to food so quickly.....YET: the Basil Fried Rice had the most intense flavor I have ever had in a fried rice dish, the soup broth was flavorful and piping hot with plenty of wontons, the beef was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious and the best boneless wings you can imagine.Good Lord, the food was amazing, the speed of delivery was amazing and great value.“
“I have eaten here several times and it's the best around. I recommend: Pea shoots, bubbling fish, steamed vegetable dumplings, fried daikon cakes and 3 cup tofu and eggplant. Plus even when it's crowded the hosts have always found a place for my family. Welcoming establishment, delicious food. <3“
“Great dry mala pot! You can customize what you want to add in your pot and choose the spice level. I recommend mild spicy (小辣) for people who don’t eat that spicy! The portion is big so you can share with the others.Their bento box is okay. Delicious and authentic but since every dishes were premade for you to choose sometimes it’s not very fresh.“
“Cilantros is a great Chinese restaurant! You should definitely come here for lunch! The portions are a little bit on the smaller side, but the service is really good and the food taste really good. I highly recommend the shrimp with coconut sauce. The seating area is nice, but it doesn’t look anything to fancy. It’s just a good Chinese restaurant with good food, pretty casual.“
“We drove by at 8pm and saw a full parking lot and decided to give it a try. Delish! Very large menu with yummy rice, noodle, and veggie dishes. We shared Dan Dan noodles and chicken and eggplant. Fresh and flavorful. Wanted to try the hot and sour soup but it only came in a large size. Service was good. Definitely adding it to our go-to list!“
“Great food and service. Definitely authentic food. The medium spicy is a little spicier than other places, so do be aware. The kungpao chicken was a great dish, a little saltier than normal. The pork soup and soup dumplings were on point. Def a good place to try.“
“The AYCE includes actually ALL you can eat, including proteins. It's a great bang for your buck. The space is cozy and lovely. Varying table sizes for 1-2 pots per group from what I've experienced. They're quick to get you refills on your foods to cook and the soup bases are delicious. Everyone I bring here loves it. My only mistake everytime is doing fresh rather than frozen tofu which gets too warm waiting to be cooked but that's a me issue, will I ever learn? No. Will I find a way to enjoy said tofu everytime anyway even if it's too soft by my own fault? Yes. Fresh veg and fresh meat, what's not to love“
“The a la carte hibachi is by far their best offering there so if you're going, make sure you go for their hibachi. The first time I went there I had it mild spice since my colleagues had limited spice tolerance. On my last visit with my friend, I had it extra spicy and it dramatically improve the taste and flavor. The pea pod stem was really good as well but other traditional Chinese dishes were just average or slightly below average. It's pricier than other nearby Chinese restaurants so unless I'm going for hibachi I would rather go to other places. For traditional Chinese, it's hard to beat Jade Garden.“
“Apr 2024:Family style dining with a nice open environment to enjoy a meal independently or with a big group. The spicy food feels good and not too overbearing but be prepared. Appetizers are quite delicious and had crispy crab rangoon with a yummy dipping sauce.“
“One of the best Sichuan restaurants in town!!! Although it’s hard to find parking around the area. It’s my go-to place if hungry for some authentic Chinese food. The flavor is rich and on-point, their BBQ is another must-try from the menu. Highly recommended!“
