“10/10! We had the stewed beef soup noodles, scallion pancakes and pork and cabbage dumplings. The soup had tender meat, delicious broth and hand pulled homemade noodles (I still regret not ordering another to go to bring home). The scallion pancakes were some of the best I've ever had--made to order, light and not too greasy. The pork and cabbage dumplings were wrapped in a thin, homemade wrapper and the filling was juicy and flavorful. While I don't have any before photos, I think the after speaks for itself.”

“Love the food and atmosphere here. The soup dumplings are delicious. My favorite meal is the Shrimp Noodle. Also, their takeout presentation is amazing. Most of the time, restaurants give you a paper bag, portions can seem smaller etc. Not here. The bag the takeout comes in is so nice, you will want to reuse it, and it is designed to keep your food warm. The chopsticks were actually good quality and the packaging the food was in kept the noodles separated from the sauce! 5 stars”

“Absolutely delicious and unique cocktails in a dark, moody lounge atmosphere. I got the Big in Japan and my husband got the Study Abroad and Sinaloa Sling, and we got the Potato Potato Dip as a snack. Both drinks were well balanced and smooth and stood up on their own as a main attraction. The dip was pickly and bright and was served with nice kettle cooked chips, we devoured it in minutes. This is a place I want to show off to my friends from out of town :)”

“This little place is a flashback to my hippy days. A market and cozy café, where my friend and I enjoyed a perfectly cooked and served breakfast using homemade bread. Plenty of parking and easy to get to in North Amherst and only 20 to 15 minutes from there to downtown, where we toured Emily Dickinson's home.”

“Chef Lau provides wonderful food, is extremely friendly and well priced. Best and most consistently well prepared Hong Kong food in the greater area. Please patronize them. You will love the food.”

“We had one of the best meals we've ever had in western Mass recently at Protcol. It was our fourth or fifth time there and they're really perfecting their operation. Loved the short rib with arepas for 2, dill hummus, and mushroom spatzle. (sp). Killer cocktails always. Worth the drive from Northampton!”

“This place has the best birria tacos, good-sized portions, and is affordable. The only complaint I would have is paying for extra lettuce and the extra sauces but not receiving it in my past orders. They must have been busy during those times, but nonetheless, I still order from here since it's so good.”

“I ordered a cake for my co-worker’s retirement celebration. We had a limited budget & everyone was so happy with the cake. A half-sheet pan carrot cake, with luscious cream cheese frosting, beautifully decorated! It was enough for 20 people with leftovers. Highly recommend!”

“First time going to Playa Bowls! It was fantastic! I got a coconut bowl with strawberries and Nutella. It was delicious. My husband got the Goldie mango bowl. He loved it. We were impressed with all of the options. The fruit was fresh and ripe. The bowls were very good-sized. We were both full after eating them. We will definitely be returning.
The atmosphere was also great. I loved the hand painted walls. Such a cool vibe in the place. I certainly recommend it.”

“The guys cooking was really nice. Everything was fresh, clean and properly stored. The guy has been here for 1 year and makes delicious Turkish style kebab. The meat is soft and juicy and flavors are great as well!”

“Every Thursday is Chicken Tenders Night for the squad. I'm reviewing this on a Monday even though Chicken Tenders Night is on Thursday, that's how much I'm looking forward to Thursday! Nothing beats onion rings and chicken tenders. My friends and I all live in Southwest, but we make the trip to Worcester ever week. We basically walk a mile from our dorms just to get to Worcester! It's our late night ritual.. I recommend always getting honey mustard and blue cheese. Sometimes I tell my friends that I can't talk right now because all I want to do is eat and wait in line for the next batch of chicken.”

“Hampshire Dining Commons is one of UMass Amherst's Student Dining Commons.

Like other dining commons, they utilize a rotational menu of foods from across the world. One unique feature of Hampshire is that it doesn't serve any soda, instead opting to be more health conscious by serving fruit drinks and locally sourced milk instead.

The serving area is a circular design, with seating on the outside. There isn't that much seating in the building, but enough to get by.

Food is pretty good, but many of the options are served at other dining halls as well. They do typically host a few special events here, especially the Princeton Review's food celebration.”

“We had our son's Rehearsal Dinner in the Amherst room on Oct. 23rd. Nothing short of amazing! Appetizers were plentiful and delicious, as was the steak, chicken and shrimp & crab scampi. Our server Karen was one in a million, she was two steps ahead the whole evening and a big part of the success shared by the wedding party. Thank you to all the staff for making it a magical night :)”

“Definitely one of the best iced mochas i’ve had, the coffee is so different. It’s definitely on the pricier end and for the same order of iced mocha with a dash of vanilla, I’ve paid varying amounts and that’s something that puts me off and the last time was probably the worst, I was charged $6.5 the first time I had it in the summer and $7.25 then on for many orders then on until yesterday when I was charged $9.50 for the same order! That’s kinda outrageous and I’m sure it’s always a different cashier that causes this. I need to start storing the receipt or stop coming to Share because at the cost of $9.50 for just an iced mocha, i’d rather start choosing starbucks and get a nice and large special. Share - you really gotta look into being on the same page among all your cashiers.”

I am sad to be graduating and leaving Amherst, primarily because I won't be able to get my fix (the Country Style Pad Thai) anymore. I love this place and recommend it to all my friends :)”

“After two weeks of eating mainly seafood along the east coast I was in the mood for Mexican and lo and behold when I looked at the menu here they had enchiladas! They were excellent too. Matched perfectly with a cold beer. We sat outside and enjoyed the view which was a topper. Our waitress was nice too.”

“This place has a friendly Atmosphere, The Bartender is Great and it's not so packed even with the UMass Students back in school. You can smoke and bring your drink outside. But don't pass that porch or YOUR OUT. and Bartender Dan is on it and don't play..”

“Great hotel in a convenient location! Pros: easy access to the campus, quiet, great student (and visitor) dining options in the same building. The room was very clean and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the pillows are super fluffy and abundant. Cons: TOO COLD. I got to my room and it was 66 degrees. I quickly found the thermostat does absolutely nothing. One morning I woke up and it was a comfortable 74 degrees in the room, but the temperature more often hovered around 69 degrees. I made frequent trips outside to warm up. Also there's a 2" gap under the door to the hallway. Conversations easily travel under the gap. I feel like a small autonomous robot could easily access the room by scooting under the door.”

“Most of the reviews here are pretty old. The food is, generally speaking, decent. Good amount of fruit and vegetables, great dessert, nice salad bar, good selection of drinks. The bean chili is A++, and they’ve had some well-made tofu dishes. Perfectly seasoned and nice texture.

Can’t speak to how good the meat dishes are, but the vegetarian and vegan options are fine. There’s not a ton of variety in a single meal, but day to day the options change a lot. You can also take your food to go which is great, and they handle the composting situation really well.

Dietary restrictions: They pay special care to allergies and separating out food that’s got nuts, gluten, etc.”

(Big eaters) We got a bit of everything, our waitress was super accommodating (3 kids) with explaining what we were ordering, serving size, etc. which if you're a parent you know this is very helpful. Everything was prepared to absolute perfection, looked very appealing, & tasted even better! Ended up ordering a couple Cannonball Sushi's to take home because my God 🤌🏼🔥 IMHO it's reasonably priced for the food/location. SOLID 9/10 Hidden gem status.”

They delivered meals for 70 people right to us in the parking lot beside the field and even numbered each item by jersey number for easy distribution. Highly recommend using them to cater for your team event!”

“Seated right away mid-afternoon Saturday. Pleasant, bright dining rooms. (Paid on street & off street parking.) We both had lunch specials (till 3 PM) - very reasonable & including soup. Super fast prep. (Only problem was appetizer dumplings arrived after soup & main course...) Delicious hot & sour soup, garlic eggplant. My husband wasn't as pleased with his wonton soup.”
