“Grandma’s Kitchen is truly a hidden treasure! Their braised beef noodle soup is a culinary masterpiece that's worth traveling far and wide for. The harmonious blend of spice, acidity, and umami in the broth creates a tantalizing flavor experience. Each bite of the al dente noodles paired with tender, flavorful beef is pure delight. The popcorn chicken is another standout item—crispy, impeccably seasoned, and bursting with flavor. The service is both swift and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. Getting a glimpse of Grandma herself in the kitchen adds an extra layer of authenticity and warmth.I can confidently say that I'll be making regular return visits to Grandma’s Kitchen—it's simply too good to resist!“
“The poke bowls are some of the best in the area. They are extremely generous with the portions, especially the salmon and tuna poke. The kiosks are incredibly helpful when you want to customize your orders! Overall great value for what you’re paying!“
“This place is an absolute vibe. They have the best Milk Tea/Boba I have ever had, and their mochi waffles are delicious. Strawberry Cheesecake waffle and Coconut Brown Sugar Boba is my favorite! I first visited about a year after COVID when it was counter service only and you couldn't sit down. I immediately fell in love and now I stop in whenever I can. Now that it's open again it's even better. The staff is amazing, so friendly and they will remember you by name! It makes me so happy to see this place continue to thrive and grow.Oh, and they're also car people. So from one fellow gearhead to another, cheers! A must try place in Boston if you love Boba or dessert ❤️“
“Was nearby and wanted to try new boba spots and saw this place had açaí too so we had to try it. The space is super long. Unfortunately boba was no longer on the menu. But the açaí was really good. I got super hyped when I saw they had different bases, I couldn't decide on what to try. We got a Berry Delicious açaí base bowl, and a Paradise Pitaya base bowl, and a Açaí berry smoothie. My fiancé devoured his açaí bowl no problem. And the pitaya base was so good and fruity. I saw they have a green base and a spring time mango base too. Definitely gonna have to come back and try it!“
“One of my new go-to spots for Asian-inspired healthy bowls.I first found out about Lotus Test Kitchen last year while looking for a lunch spot in Downtown. Since then, I’ve been getting bowls from here at least once a month. They seamlessly meld Asian flavors into healthy bowls without a lot of compromises. My favorite bowl is their signature Braised Pork Belly Bowl, which features three substantial chunks of tender pork belly. It also comes with cabbage slaw, and pickled daikons and carrots that helps tone down the greasiness with their tangy, refreshing crunch. And then there's the Spicy Gochujang sauce, an optional but highly recommended addition that weaves sweetness and a subtle kick to the bowl. While certain dishes, like the Thai Curry Chicken and the Spicy BBQ Korean Pork Belly bowl, occasionally come with meat that errs on the drier side, their sauce and pickled vegetable toppings help elevate the central ingredients.Overall, a great lunch spot that offers a quick, filling, and delicious bowls. If you’re looking for something healthy outside of your usual salad bowls, I highly recommend giving them a try.“
“i am not usually one to leave reviews, but i just have to say. the manager theo and the girl with the brown/blonde ombré curly hair (i wish i asked her name) behind the bar were some of the nicest people i’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. i unfortunately had a piece of meat in my vegetarian ramen, but the manager came over to apologize and shook my hand when he did not need to, gave me a brand new ramen and comped my whole bill. it was very nice and i just appreciated them being understanding, if something like that happens at other places, usually they just bring me a new one. sometimes they don’t even care and i still end up paying for it, but in my 10 years of being vegetarian i’ve never experienced service like that. i don’t know if that’s saying something about restaurants or the restaurants i’ve been too in general or if this place is just over the top but either way i had a wonderful experience at mecha noodle bar and i will definitely be back! in terms of what i ordered, it was delicious, despite the meat in my ramen, i ended up having a wonderful meal! andif you read this far, you should definitely try the spiked mango lassi bubble tea (you can have it non spiked too) it was wonderful :)ALSO BONUS I REALLY LOVED THAT THEY WERE PLAYING HxH ON THE TVS!Vegetarian options: they have one ramen choice for vegetarians, and a couple appetizers as well. not a huge selection but the ramen was great imo“
“this is the most amazing banh mi i've ever had !! I'm on a little holiday in boston from london and I've recently fallen in love with banh mi. this has taken the top spot though - the baguette had that perfect crunch and it was overflowing with the filling. such a reasonable price and the service was so fast and lovely :) highly recommend the lemongrass pork !“
“Wonderful restaurant! I am about to graduate college and I have been eating here with my family and friends since I was a baby. The people who work here are the kindest people you will ever meet and the food is delicious! There are tons of options for eaters of all kinds. My favorite items are the Dan Dan noodles, dumplings, and smoothies. It’s my favorite place to eat in the Boston are and you definitely don’t want to miss it! It’s located in the middle of a beautiful part of Cambridge and very easily accessible. It’s a very walkable area and this place is the perfect pit stop mid walk. I will continue eating here for as long as I can :)Vegetarian options: I ate here before I was a vegetarian and have eaten here many times since and there are many options.Dietary restrictions: Many food and drink options.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly. My parents used to bring me to eat here as a baby.Wheelchair accessibility: There are buttons to open the door and the restaurant is on one level.“
“Amazing inventive food in a fun atmosphere. Minecraft visuals on the wall and “Tetris Tots” are enough to keep the kids engaged in eating. Only a few counter seats until the outside seating opens up. Totally worth a 30 minute drive even if you are not a gluten free eater. My pulled pork sandwich was incredible and the gf version of the chicken mochiko plate was so crispy and flavorful.Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: Fun drinks and video game theme atmosphere“
“It’s been my routine to get a parfait here after watching musicals at Huntington, even we really need to rush. A mixmatch of any 2 flavors was amazing! The mochi balls, sponge cake, corn flakes, and jelly gave so many layers of flavor and texture to the dessert “
“If there were ten stars, I would give BANH MI CAFE those. We just got priced out of Cambridge after living there for years and years. What's helping us not to lose our minds is finding the beautiful library, our apartment in a high rise apartment complex, and some great foodie places for me to explore. My very fave is Nancy and her incredible BANH MI CAFE. The best Vietnamese coffee ever as well as the best sandwiches I have ever had. We've tried the beef, the original coldcut, and a breakfast type one which is sunnyside up and pate. All delish...my personal pick is original coldcut. Best coldcuts!! Lots and lots of interesting teas, boba. drinks, etc.Take out only, or Nancy's hub will deliver in the area“
“Amazing service, truly. My friend and I were being picky customers and wanted to modify our drinks after ordering them. I know, we were annoying. But all of the beautiful women behind the counter had everlasting patience and honesty with us as we worked through it together.Yes this is a vague review but all you needa know is that this staff is great, the bubble tea pretty good, but the menu confusing because flavours like wintermelon, mango, honeydew, and Tiger are not listed on the main menu so you have to look carefully for what you want.“
“It's great to find boba drinks in town for sure, but it's not up to par with the better known boba places closer to the city. I'd go with the smoothies over the boba tea drinks. The flavors taste a bit powdery/artificial but definitely hits the spot if you want to get a quick drink with your kids who can't really tell the difference. The egg waffles also aren't quite right, but can't complain since it's so convenient.“
“Generally I don't care for boba tea.But was craving some brown sugar boba tea. And some of my other usual spots were either too busy or too hard.I liked the fact I could choose the sweetness level which was nice. Did a 30% sugar tea, and got a egg waffle (also recommended)Tasted good, drank the whole tea, and the ice cream was good too. Venue was cute, but nothing mind blowing. The girl who worked the counter was effective. Not a bad spot for a quick fix.“
“Found this place via Instagram. The staff are all nice and food was great. Small seating area but when I went in the evening was able to sit. Staff told me there are two other locations which I will have to check out in the future. Will be back !“
“I love coming to Gong Cha in Davis. The ambience is really nice and the music creates a nice atmosphere, it's not too loud and adds to the space. I come here to study a lot and there's plenty of places to study alone or with friends. The service is quick and the drinks are really yummy, my favorite is the mango green tea with coconut jelly and boba. The drinks tend to be on the sweet side so I usually go for less sugar. Really great spot, I'll definitely be coming here more often to study and snack on boba!“
“I’ve tried a lot of bubble tea in the area, and this is by far the best. The tea quality is great (especially the Hong Kong milk tea - seriously delicious!), and they put plenty of boba (that is chewy and fresh!) in each order. The staff are also very kind and efficient, and if you order multiple teas, will pack them perfectly in a cute reusable bag with straws inside. My only other wish for this place is that I so wish they had matcha, which is my favorite flavor and go-to tea, but the quality here is so superior I’ve been willing to switch flavors most of the time to come here!“
“It's a really cute place. The boba is perfect. Came here a couple of times this week only haha. I had an idea, to get espresso shots with me, and make brown sugar boba with lactose free milk with the espresso there and they helped me. Really appreciated it. If you're in the area definitely come here!“
“Dado tea is the best. I have been coming here for years because I love unsweetened chai tea lattes and they are hard to come by since mem tea started sweetening their chai tea mix! The latte is great, the staff is kind, and the variety of teas and food is impressive. Would highly highly recommend Dado tea to anyone who needs a place to grab some caffeine or food.“
“Decided to stop by because we were craving boba. Loved everything about this place from the atmosphere to the drinks! High quality and you can tell the owners use fresh ingredients and care about delivering delicious drinks to their customers. Would definitely come here again if I'm in the area!“
“I have been coming to Hardy teriyaki for quite a while now and I am addicted to the supreme teriyaki chicken bowl. The chicken is always so fresh and tender and flavorful. I usually get it on top of the delicious fried rice. And that egg on top just brings it to another level of goodness. Not only is the food consistently delicious, the people who work there are so friendly and kind. My food is always ready when I get there and is given to me with a huge beautiful smile! love this place.“
“This was my first time to Coco Leaf, but I was really impressed by their staff. I had ordered two drinks including a fruit smoothie before meeting up with my friend. Unfortunately, my friend was busy so I had to wait about 30-45 min before meeting up so I decided to sit in the cafe with my drinks and do some work. The staff member saw that I was there for about 10 min without drinking and asked if I needed to refrigerate it in case I was waiting or otherwise the drink would melt and not taste its best. I was grateful for their observation and kindness. Definitely returning to this boba spot and I can see why they are so well-known outside of Boston. :)“
“We stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon and there was plenty of seating available. The space was bigger than expected with booth seats and table seating. We were seated at a booth and it was quite comfortable. We ordered the Beef hot soup and the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup. No substitutions allowed but we chose to omit a couple ingredients. The medium spicy is quite spicy so I would recommend going milder and using the chili dipping sauce on the side. Both broths were flavorful enough that you don't necessarily need the soy garlic sauce provided. I immediately turned off the flame under the hot pot because I didn't want the beef to overcook. I do wish there was an option to turn it back on without having to call someone over to light it again. Lunch meals come with a choice of iced green tea or black tea and choice of white rice or vermicelli. Tea was already sweetened, might've been a tad sweet for my liking though. Wait staff was efficient and friendly. There is a call bell on the table that alerts staff that you need something, otherwise they are not really checking up on you. Overall a solid satisfying lunch!“
“Best place hands down. Went there today and only had 6$ whilst my order was 6.30. I had asked for a medium and ended up getting a large with no extra fee. And not to mention how fast it is made. Nicest person I met today. 100% recommend to go here.Kid-friendliness: very comfy and cozy.“
“A lovely shop to grab Asian snacks and froyo. They have Hi Chew, Kopiko coffee candy, dried squid jerky, Ramune soda, frozen popsicles & ice creams, boba, and froyo. Great to grab some snacks while you wait in line across the hall for Yume Ga Arukara “
“Great portions for great prices! I ordered a 5 piece chicken wing for 12.99 and the portions were HUGE. I only ended eating 3 wings which filled me up. Perfect seasoning and crisp. The mashed potatoes were also delicious, melted in my mouth. Definitely coming back here again! Support local businesses!“
“Amazing sushi, wonderful atmosphere, and always a fantastic experience!Every time we come here it feels like visiting family - from the friendly welcome, to the drinks and soup, and incredible sushi. This is the most underrated sushi experience. I suspect the only reason this place is not always full is because it just opened up and most don't know about it. The sushi is better than the other 3 places in Arlington. The service is the best we've ever had. The fish is incredibly fresh.Everything from the sushi menu has been incredibly tasty. The Hako Tuna roll and the mango roll are two favorites from the specialty menu. In terms of nigiri, everything has been delicious and super fresh - we really enjoy the tuna and scallop nigiri. We come here about twice a week and recommend it very highly!Kid-friendliness: Wonderful experience with a child!“
“Fantastic fried chicken at an affordable price. Casual and quick. Perfect for lunch or takeout. I’ve been looking for a fried chicken spot that knows how to make a crispy wing ever since another one of my Chinatown favorites closes down. This place is fantastic. While the “spicy” fried chicken is not particularly spicy, it has a pleasant flavor. They also aren’t cheap on serving sizes. These are true full chicken wings, not cut in half. The serving of 8 wings is definitely enough for one adult. If you order to-go, the take out bags are surprisingly high-quality as well. They will not rip, and certainly warrant a re-use. Service is friendly and I have nothing bad to say about this place.Photos represent food after I had already eaten some, so serving size is slightly larger than what you see.“
“I had a wonderful time at Mecha, the atmosphere is nice and the food was wonderful. I will definitely be coming back to try some more stuff. My partner and I ate the KFC and Pork Belly Bao buns, both were really good but I feel like the pork belly ones were worth the price more. We also ordered the red oil dumplings which had great flavor and they were filled to the brim with meat and shrimp. For drinks we ordered bobas, one Thai milk tea and one mango. The Thai milk tea was nice, can’t complain, the boba has amazing texture but not that much flavor in my opinion. The mango boba was very refreshing and I liked the fact that it had a bit of a sour taste to it. For the main course we had pho which we were blown away by. I got the Pho Sizzle with ribs and marrow oil. The original already comes with about 4 giant cubes of soft and delicious pieces of meat so adding more was a bit much on my part but the ribs were also very tasty. My favorite part was the broth. Amazing flavor, refreshing, light and great to have on a cold day. We had a great server, and the staff seemed very nice. My only complaint would be the seats, after sitting for a bit, they did become uncomfortable. But overall a great experience, can’t wait to stop by again soon.“
“Loved this cute little cafe! They serve hot drinks, bubble tea, and desserts. Thai iced tea with brown sugar pearls was delicious! We also had the mango eclair and tiramisu, which were just the right size and sweetness. Decor and atmosphere were beautiful and classy. Window bar seating and some small tables as well. Staff were very friendly and completed our orders pretty quickly.“
“great food and super fun and welcoming atmosphere! A little on the pricier side but worth it because everything is delicious and high quality. the people are very friendly, especially the owner. only downside is that it can get crowded and service gets slow (which is no one's fault) so I recommend ordering ahead of “
“If you're looking for a cute little spot to sit down and relax with a cup of milk tea, look no further! The interior of this little Newbury St. brownstone looks almost like a coffee shop, with some cute decor and a few tables and chairs for hanging out in. The prices here aren't too bad compared to other nearby spots - most milk teas here are around $5 (not including boba). I ordered their taro milk tea with boba here, which was delicious and exactly what I'm looking for in a drink. It had the perfect amount of sweetness (after I asked them for 50% sweetness) and not an overwhelming amount of ice. I really enjoy my experience every time I visit Mr. Tea and will definitely be back!“
“I ordered through delivery and I'm so impressed with the packaging. The delivery driver rode on a bike and the drinks was on its side. However, no leakage or dripping. I even spilled it myself on the way to my room, but no leakage or dripping. Packing well thought out. Boba drink good too!“
“I love this place, have being customer of theirs since they opened, and they have grown so much and really well. I didn't have any complaints about anything every time I came. I would definitely highly recommend this spot for a nice downtime. Great to have friend hangout times, for really anything. The new food additions are really good! Service is awesome, very kind people. Great choice of music too! They have piano and guitar!!!!Kid-friendliness: My sister loves it here, she is 11! Awesome place for family and friends!“
“At Tasty Pot in Allston, MA, we were delighted by the hot pot experience. We loved the inviting ambiance, which made us feel right at home. The fresh ingredients and preset options allowed us to enjoy our meal with little hassle, and the flavorful broths were a highlight. We appreciated the option to customize spice levels to suit our taste. The attentive service and reasonable prices made our visit even more enjoyable. Tasty Pot is definitely a place we’d return to for a cozy and satisfying meal.“
“Great drinks, oreo slushy was a bit watered down but otherwise really good. Sad that there wasn't anymore gingerbread men left but I guess it's not their fault there's a limited stock. Would recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs to enter store, not suitable for wheelchair users and people with strollers.“
“I was searching for a good Boba tea nearby and stumbled upon this store. Wow, it was an amazing place with the best Brown Sugar Bubble Tea It's the most recommended and popular item at this place, and I'm sure all the rest will be good to try. The staff was so helpful and the best. Definitely a recommended place, best value for money!!“
“This is my go to place for bubble tea, I love their atmosphere, service and the bubble tea is soo good! I'm here at least once a week, usually more often.Unfortunately, a few times here and there the boba are too big for the straw, which makes drinking the bubble tea more a fight than a pleasure. But most of the time everything is perfect.“
“Boba always consistently cooked, tea and fruit are fresh and not oversteeped. What makes this location #1 in my opinion is the popcorn chicken. No other place in Boston makes popcorn chicken right except this specific Tbaar location (and maybe the one in Quincy). Trust me, I've tried all of them. The chicken is juicy, I think they use tapioca flour for the batter so the fried bits are also chewy and not dry. They use actual fried basil leaves and not basil powder. Just wish the portions were a little larger. Another minor con is that when ordering delivery, you can't make topping substitutions for drinks—but I get it, things are busy enough already.“
“A decent refreshing stopover for boba drinks and light snacks.Amidst numerous boba options in Chinatown, Pin Ming might not top the charts. Nevertheless, I came here a couple times to try their drinks and food. Their regular boba toppings were mediocre as it lacked chewiness. On the other hand, the strawberry pearls stood out – these little sphere added an unexpected fruity sweetness that elevated some of their drinks.I also got to try some of their food, Popcorn Chicken and Fried Shrimp. Over-seasoned and quite salty, Popcorn chicken was a bit of a letdown. But the shrimp was a surprisingly good deal. Its batter was basic but perfectly crispy, and the shrimp was moist and creamy. In Chinatown’s boba scene, Pin Ming might be at the lower end of the spectrum, but if you’re in a mood for some good snacks and decent drinks, Ping Ming might be a good choice.“
“I discovered this place when one of my teachers at school decided to order some boba to treat us in 2022. Ever since, this my personal number one boba spot in Boston. They have some unique items such as the "Thai taro mojifrap" that I have never seen serve any boba store in the Boston area. It is delicious and on top of that, the owners are wonderful people who know their customers and want to do their very best. Great boba store and the best in Boston in my opinion! :)“
“I know y'all go for the chicken, which I have yet to try myself, but y'all. Y'all. You have to try their drinks! These are also made fresh to order and MORE than worth the wait!!!I checked this place out for the first time partly because my buddy has been here plenty of times and he vouched for it, yet he's never tried the drinks! I wanted an authentic milk tea, or just some kind of nice refreshing beverage from a local spot, you know? Well, I got what I came for, okay?!!I started out with the Fresh Black Grape Tea, which was definitely fresh and made right in front of me, and definitely grapey. I found it having a good amount of sweetness, and it's just an awesome drink to get. Simple as that. There are grape bits at the bottom, so if you aren't too keen on that type of texturized experience or potentially getting something stuck on your teeth in the middle of your hot date, you may want to refrain from ordering this one. Otherwise, ball out!The next jawns I got were the Strawberry Milk Tea and the Passionfruit Slush, because I couldn't just stop at one.The Passionfruit Slush was super different than what I expected. I'm unsure of if it was just how it was made when I went, but there was very little to almost zero sweetness to it. They also must have put milk in there. I didn't watch them make it, but that's kind of what it looked and tasted like. I would actually order this again. It was smooth and so... different! Lol~The Strawberry Milk Tea was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. It looks exactly how I wanted it to look like, and it tasted even better!!! The whole thing was just FANTASTIC. It tasted CUTE! That's the only best way that I can put it. It is quite literally what it is called. Strawberry Milk Tea. It's light, refreshing and the flavor/sweetness I found to be right in between the black grape tea and the passionfruit slush. Just. Right. All in all, I obviously had a spectacular experience here and service was cool. I will be back for that strawberry milk tea specifically. Thank you.“
“Was pretty good. Got that mighty fine student discount so we were eating’ (drinking). I had one big capital P problem though, and that was the dubious Pikmin tea. As a Pikmin head it was the clear best option on the menu. My curiosity was peaked by the slush versus the smooth options. Unfortunately my friends I was duped. They were out of the special cups with Pikmin graphics. Compounding the feeling my receipt spelled out “tropical punch” clear as day, I was duped. Pikmin are found in all sorts of climates, but that’s beside the point. I had to find ways to simulate the Pikmin experience, like looking at a picture of the fancy Pikmin cups that they gave out when the promotion began in August. I don’t blame anyone besides the cruel sands of time for this one, Pikmin could only stay on the menu for so long…Vegetarian options: There where no balls of meat in my drink, so vegetarians will be pleasantly surprised with their many offerings.“
“This was THE hangout spot back in high school. Even now, it is mostly crowded with students. I didn’t realize it was a chain until I came across one in Philly one time. This location is quite small being in Chinatown. There are some low tables by the entrance, and the rest are high tops. They have games for you to play such as Jenga and Uno.I like the black, taro, and Thai milk teas, Thai coconut smoothie, and Pink Lady. The boba isn’t very sweet here, so I prefer KFT’s boba, as it’s hard to beat when it’s fresh. The takoyaki and onigiri are also good, but they have gone up in price.Wait times can be long when it is busy. They also do catering.“
“This was stop 1 on a mini food crawl of the area. So many good choices, but this olace stuck out for good Taiwanese food. The Dan Bing was great. It was fluffy egg and dense pancake served piping hot with a sauce to dip or pour over. The spicy wontons were fantastic as well. They had a light spice and thin texture but fell apart quick.I would love to come back for some Taiwanese sausage and a pork cutlet.Parking: Parking was limited.“
“We visited this location for the first time today and overall it's a clean and friendly place. The staff was nice (only one person). If you're looking for a refreshing and a quick snack this is a place to visit. They have milk teas, slushes and specialty drinks as well. I love boba tea so I can be biased however i can tell you this place is better than other boba tea restaurants in woburn square. This is a nice quiet location compared to the one inside the Burlington Mall. During this visit i went with my usual Lemon Ai Yu with boba, 30% sugar and less iced. Made it to perfection and I am saying this because the one at the mall messed it up before. I also ordered the regular egg puff. It's good, better than some places I had tried before. It is a bit pricey $6 but its made fresh. I would recommend this place over Snow Ice House Bubble Tea any day. The tea drinks are much fresher and tastier. This would be an awesome summer hangout“
“My friends and I frequent this store and always love it. Some of the options are expensive but you pay for the quality of the drink. The staff are always super nice, and the shop has a nice atmosphere. There is a table inside, and a bench outside, as well as a self checkout to the left of the counter for when there’s a line.Parking: There are one or two parking spaces on the street, and a small lot across the street, making it difficult to find parking. I recommend parking somewhere nearby and walking to the store.Kid-friendliness: This place is totally kid friendly.“
“I have tried a few things here. My favorite so far is the Passion Fruit Green Tea with Boba and Basil Seeds. I get it with light ice and regular sugar. My daughter could LIVE on their strawberry milk tea with boba. They also have a delicious Chocolate Bubble Waffle. The people that work there seem very nice. We were trying to push my sister inside (she was in a wheelchair) and the people will come and hold the door open for you. They have a reward program too. My daughter LOVES that.“
“As a Waltham local, this is my favorite bubble tea shop in town. My go-to drinks are the Wintermelon Milk Tea with Herbal Jelly and the Coco Cream WOW Milk Cap. I tried their Almond and Taro Milk Teas, but they tasted too powdery for my liking. They have a BOGO deal on Wednesdays which makes coming here even sweeter!“
“the boba at sweet heart is pretty good! it's not too sweet and they have various sugar and ice levels you can choose from. i ordered the large sweet heart black milk tea for $5.50. medium drinks are mostly $4.99. they also have smoothies and ice cream. there's usually no line and service is quick. the baristas are friendly and kind. street parking is available right outside the boba shop. overall rating: 10/10“
