““Pure Pastry” was highly recommended by “Cakes for Occasions” because they couldn’t make a Vegan cake. So I called and asked Kim to make my son who is a Vegan an all Vegan birthday cake. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious and moist his chocolate cake was with vanilla cream frosting with strawberries in the middle and on top was. Five people ate this cake and we all loved the taste. It looked beautiful too. Another thing I also love about this bakery is the cake box. The cake fit in the box very nicely and on the top you could see the cake through a see through film which was an elegant touch. My son’s cake was so good that I had to order a Vegan strawberry vanilla cake for my birthday too. I can’t wait to get it. Kim is so very friendly and such a nice person and she is very easy to get a hold of on the phone. I very highly recommend Kim and “Pure Pastry” for all of your pastry needs.”

“Last night was so great. We enjoyed dinner at MEXA - a neighbor (same town, not next door neighbor) to us in Beverly. The food was incredible (ramen total hit!) - fast, fresh & so flavorful. “Very glad we tried this place, we started off with horchata and chicken empanadas. The horchata was pretty good, I like it with a little more spice to it, but it's a good portion size and not too sweet which I like. The chicken empanadas were amazing they were so crispy, had great flavor, and it came with this great sauce to dip it in that added a nice spiciness to the adobo chicken. Then for the main course I got the pork arepas and my girlfriend got the Mexico city tacos (1 chicken, 1 carnitas, and 1 adobado.) This was my first time trying arepas, and I was really pleased with my introduction. The arepa lightly tastes of corn, but it's kind of fluffy like white bread, it's not the easiest thing to describe if you've never had it but I suggest trying it. It's a great vehicle for the pork that was lightly spiced and cut in cubes, and it was well marbled with bits of fat throughout. The guacamole really brought the arepa together, it was mostly just mashed avocado, some onion, and maybe jalapenos or something, but it was not overpowering or trying to steal the spotlight, just adding the flavor of avocado to the mix, it also came with a nice fresh salad which went perfectly with the meal. My girlfriends tacos were really great. The tortilla tasted just like the corn tortillas we had in Mexico city. Clearly made from actual corn, but unlike in Mexico city the tacos were full of meat and very flavorful. It came with rice and she was hoping it would come with beans, but unfortunately not. All in all though it was really delicious and with the closing of Alcapulcos, this may be our new go to spot for Latin food. Also the best part was that all this came in under 60 dollars, we barely ever get out for a date night spending under 80 dollars, and it was a great meal. It seems like a really great place and I would highly recommend it.”

“What can I say other than magical?! We were fortunate enough to host my son’s 11th birthday party in the back room (The kids loved the secret hidden entrance through the bookcase). Tons of great games for all ages and the food was fantastic! Literally everything we had was gourmet quality and up to my foodie 11 year-old’s standards. She was efficient and friendly and the food was great. Only - very minor- complaint was there was a speaker over the table that was too loud for us but overall it added to a lively vibe.”

Our server Carolyn was absolutely amazing- she was so diligent with the allergies at our table and took the time to recommend things that would fit all of our needs. We will definitely be back and would always request her. Food was amazing, huge portions, flavorful, and came out so quickly! A must in the area! The only down-side was parking, but we figured it out!”

I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting the best! I'm not the only one that likes it there. There was only one empty table left. Wheelchair access, handicap parking nesr the front door that makes it an easy access for those needing it. Will definitely go back there. Hard to find anywhere with a breakfast this good.”

They are so kind and welcoming to every single person that comes in. Aside from that, the coffee is AMAZING! They have so many different flavors to choose from and you can customize any drink however you like (even if it's not on the menu). Also, the breakfast sandwiches... wow. Get 'The Stallion', just trust me. Prices are completely reasonable. Honestly, no other coffee place I've been to even compares. I'll be a longtime customer!”

“A great place to socialize with veterans and civilians alike. They have a luck of the draw every Friday night which can be from anywhere from 15 to 60 people playing darts. The drinks are amazing. Staff is incredible. I recommend booking a function there if it’s available. Fantastic space with handicap parking out front. And a great place to visit overall and they have room in the back for smokers!!

The coffee is delectable and the food pastries and environment and ambience are breathtaking but the food you don’t look at too much you just eat it but it’s very good when you eat it. It’s delicious. I love the seating. Sometimes we sit outside another time we sit inside, but both are great when I go to Café Nero. I like to get many things sometimes I get a caramel cappuccino sometimes I get a cold brew sometimes I get a latte and it’s always lovely no matter what I get the butter crumb cake is one of my favorite things. It’s so yummy. I also like the chocolate croissants. I also like the tiramisu I got that the other day it was pretty good 10 out of 10 I would say anyway the baristas ambience, food, and coffee is the best thank you, café Nero”

“I have passed this place a dozen times with intentions of stopping, but I always ended up driving by. I finally stopped in this week, and I am glad I did. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. I wasn't aware that I arrived 4 minutes before they were closing. They still made me a fresh roast beef sandwich, and they re-fired the fryers and made a cutlet sandwich for my friend. They certainly did not neeed to do any of this so close to closing time. The food was all delicious. I highly recommend giving these amazing people your business.”
