“shall i compare the northshore to a summers day, bright majestic and the eggs, sunny. I truly believe I have never tasted a sandwich so delicious in my entire life. As the title states, I crave this sandwich every second we are apart. The northshore sandwich has taught me things about myself that I once didn’t know. I have become a better person inside and out upon ingesting this glorious work of art. I will always be back for another bite. As mentioned in great gatsby this sandwich is my greenlight I will row to and always find a way to reach. Thank you too whom ever created this masterpiece you are welcomed to my wedding.”

““Pure Pastry” was highly recommended by “Cakes for Occasions” because they couldn’t make a Vegan cake. So I called and asked Kim to make my son who is a Vegan an all Vegan birthday cake. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious and moist his chocolate cake was with vanilla cream frosting with strawberries in the middle and on top was. Five people ate this cake and we all loved the taste. It looked beautiful too. Another thing I also love about this bakery is the cake box. The cake fit in the box very nicely and on the top you could see the cake through a see through film which was an elegant touch. My son’s cake was so good that I had to order a Vegan strawberry vanilla cake for my birthday too. I can’t wait to get it. Kim is so very friendly and such a nice person and she is very easy to get a hold of on the phone. I very highly recommend Kim and “Pure Pastry” for all of your pastry needs.”

Wish they didn't have some sort of video game for people to play. Its one large room with a large bar and it's already plenty loud without that. Maybe there were just loud people playing it when we were there but I really feel it distracts from the place overall..”

“What can I say other than magical?! We were fortunate enough to host my son’s 11th birthday party in the back room (The kids loved the secret hidden entrance through the bookcase). Tons of great games for all ages and the food was fantastic! Literally everything we had was gourmet quality and up to my foodie 11 year-old’s standards. “La Qchara is the type of neighborhood spot that everyone wishes was on their block. Charming, smallish space with comfortable seating, a glass window onto vibrant Cabot Street, and art from local artists/artisans in the wall. There is a 6-seat bar, where our party of 6 sat, right in the middle of action and a great vantage for enjoying the making of the carefully crafted margaritas Mango? Spicy? Skinny? Classic? You have some wonderful choices. Or a coconut mojito with a toasted coconut rim? Our expert bartender Ernesto made each drink with thoughtful expertise, and they were delicious! These came with a mild salsa and perfectly crisp tortilla chips to munch on while perusing the exciting menu. We added the habanero sauce conveniently placed on the bar and livened the salsa up a bit (not everyone loves super spicy—but our party loved the heat!) The food is from a scratch kitchen, and it is delicious. We started with shared apps—the shrimp ceviche and the tuna tartare tostada—both fresh as can be and loaded with lime and chile flavors. We also split an order of tostones, that were of perfect consistency, light and fluffy almost, with a chipotle crema for dipping. Excellent choices for starters—all six of us had plenty, and we finished the plates. For entrees, two of us had veggie enchiladas mole, two had chicken enchiladas mole, and two had Birreria tacos. These plates came with rice and beans, which were silken smooth with perfect flavor of Latin spices. La Qchara blends the cuisines of Venezuela, Mexico, and Guatemala—and the menu represents each well. It's so nice to be able to choose from the best loved dishes from each unique land. On a street where you have many pre-theatre choices, La Qchara was a delight—we all knew we picked the perfect spot. Hospitality abounds, and the food and drinks are so satisfying. We only wish there was a La Qchara in Somerville—we'd be there every week!”

The only down-side was parking, but we figured it out!”

“How anyone could give this place a bad review makes no sense to me. You've probably already read from the other reviews that the staff is incredible, but truly -- they are. They are so kind and welcoming to every single person that comes in. Aside from that, the coffee is AMAZING! They have so many different flavors to choose from and you can customize any drink however you like (even if it's not on the menu). Also, the breakfast sandwiches... wow. Get 'The Stallion', just trust me. Prices are completely reasonable. Honestly, no other coffee place I've been to even compares. I'll be a longtime customer!”

“A great place to socialize with veterans and civilians alike. They have a luck of the draw every Friday night which can be from anywhere from 15 to 60 people playing darts. The drinks are amazing. Staff is incredible. I recommend booking a function there if it’s available. Fantastic space with handicap parking out front. And a great place to visit overall and they have room in the back for smokers!!

“I love coffee but I’m allergic to it so I’m usually bummed out about the selection of beverages I can select from…until I tried Fresh Brew Cafe’s Earl Grey London Fog Latte (with Oat Milk). It’s SO delicious!! It’s the best tea latte I’ve ever had! Their homemade orange cranberry muffins are so flavorful and perfect texture. My son consistently gets their ice cappuccino and a bagel sandwich with egg, cheese and ham. I’ve also had their Thanksgiving sandwich and it was absolutely awesome. I’m so glad they came to Beverly. Give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.”

“The cava in dodge st is the best place in Beverly to get a quick and healthy meal. I see some complaints with people online ordering and using uber eats. To that I say, go in there! The staff is so friendly! I go all the time and they are simply lovely. Their online order assembly line looks like it’s constantly full, which just means it’s so good people can’t get enough of it. I think that’s just a sign for corporate to open more locations to be able to service all these online orders. But to the dodge st team, keep up the great service.”
