“Stayed at hilton near restaurant. The building is nice. Inside is really nice and clean. Staff was really good and very friendly. Food we all got was amazing. Crab ragoon, yellow curry, pork ribs, spicy tuna, and tonkatsu was delicious. I highly recommend this place if near by.“

“We enjoyed the omakase dinner at Akame restaurant. The restaurant is ultra small, just 6 seats during each seating so there plenty of opportunities to chat with chef and watch him create our dinner. I enjoyed creative combinations of flavors and textures. I loved all the fish offering, however my favorite turned out to be the four gras served on crispy rice crispies topped with yuzu jam and chocolate. Heavenly!
The restaurant is hidden away in an alley off Mass ave. We parked right in front of it, but did not see it, because the only sign is a black writing on the door which we could not see due to reflections. For reference, it is next to Fruitee Yogurt, which has bright signage.“

“Absolutely my favorite place for sushi when adding together freshness, service, and timeliness. After moving to Massachusetts from Florida, there has barely been any place with real flavor up here. After checking the reviews I saw this place might have some potential for a good price. It’s a small restaurant with a few tables, and the perfect hominess. We wanted to go out somewhere for Valentine’s Day with our baby, not somewhere too crowded considering she’s in her chaotic phase, and we went here. We got a maki party platter for us and a chicken teriyaki for the baby. It’s an adult portion so we decided to have something for her to have lunch and dinner with the next day. The sushi came out and it was so amazing and honestly super fast too. Then came the babies plate, it comes with a miso soup so we were able to get her to try it and she loved that. Then we cut up her food into bite size pieces and as we were preparing it, even though I personally hate chicken, it was SO FLAVORFUL!! We had to keep going back to her plate for tiny bites because it was delicious, the chicken was NOT dry and it felt so clean and refreshing each bite. Then when in regard to the service, WOW the waitress was absolutely the sweetest ever, was so interactive with our baby and attentive to us. Our new regular place for sure.“

“What an amazing restaurant in the most ideal location in Lowell. Today was my first time having entered the beautiful location and had take out. I can without a doubt state that my husband and I will be coming in and be patrons because of the friendly service, unique style, and most definitely the fresh ingredients used in their menu. “We visited for a birthday dinner on a Monday and it was pretty empty, especially after the holidays which is expected. Service was great and the food was good. Atmosphere was inviting. I am giving it 4. 5 stars because for the price, I would expect superb food. The desserts were the best part of the experience. I Recommend the classic tiramisu and the cheesecake. The drinks were good especially the lychee Mocktail for those looking for a non alcoholic alternative. They have a large variety of sake and my husband loved the Snowmaiden. I will visit again for desserts and drinks for sure!“

“We got 2 large platters (one hot and one raw) for 4 adults. WoW. That was a lot of food. The presentation was beautiful, one on a boat and the other on a bridge. The pieces were huge and very fresh. A lot of different combinations to try. The waitstaff was so nice. Highly recommend!“

“Other than the cafeteria being full on weekends, this place is my favorite. They cook very well and ingredients are fresh. I order the bento and the level of detail is phenomenal. this is the tastiest food I've ever had and will always be coming here as long as I'm alive. The prices keep going up so I hope they calm down. The best time to come is during the week.“

We have offices in Japan, and we have had sushi all over the world, and this was so very very fresh. We took the bus all the way from Cambridge just to eat dinner here.

I had the Hamachi and the scallop and the Toro, all very reasonably priced and all very fresh. Really surprised at the price of the Toro, because it’s more expensive even in North Carolina! Great value for such a fresh fish.

Six dollars for a Sapporo and $11 for a carafe of hot sake was also a great deal.

We also tried the Buta Barra Kaku-ni (which was the Japanese raised pork belly). And it was outstanding! We have a lot of pork belly in the region where we live, and this interpretation of it was so tender. It just melted in your mouth!
We also tried the umaki, which was the egg and the eel combo. It was good, but I don’t think I would get that one again when there are so many other fabulous menu options. But I’m glad I tried it.

I have ordered from many Asian restaurants and so often the pictures and descriptions look amazing. However, once delivered and eaten, it was all good, but didn’t have the wow factor! I ordered four different dishes from this place and every single one had the wow factor, it was such an explosion of deliciousness in each and every bite! “The soups are to die for. The sushi and sashimi and maki are all excellent. Every appetizer is delicious, the service exceptional, and the food comes quick. A wonderful place to sit down and also to get take out from. I cannot recommend this place enough.
