Craziest thing of it all is the pricing. Four slices, arancini, and a drink for $16.00? How? In today’s economy how are they keeping the price this low? Also amazing. Just go. Don’t think about it, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200…go get your dang perfect slice.“

Words are insufficient to describe my excitement for Mario’s!!!

I’ll start with THIN CRUST - Classic Neapolitan pizza, ITALIAN style. Then FRESH FRESH FRESH ingredients make all the difference. I look forward to it, whenever I can make it, usually for lunch on Friday, the only week day they’re open at 12:00 noon. Awesome vibe that’s 100% local local local. Small place, mostly take out, but you can seat 3-4 people at the window counter, which I love. Old school marble counter, with comfy padded bar stools. You have to know it’s here as the location is a tad off the beaten path of prime visibility. Which ‘proves’ one of my philosophies ‘ great location, often mehh food, not so great location - the food must be amazing. So many amazing points …. One of which is the ACTUAL MARIO! Punctuating the super local CHEF OWNED cafe. He’s here all the time, super nice guy, a joy to chat with … and he truly loves making incredible pizza!!“

Absolutely outstanding brick oven pizza! We ordered five different pizzas and a charcuterie board for a group of eight, and we destroyed every last slice. Crisp, delicious, and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend this place.“

It's not the A+ pizza dough and crust that I remember it being. Bummer ! It's now more airy and more cracker like, not bready and bubbly as it was. And the bread served with grilled lamb was also just OK. Odd. Lamb with peppers was great tho!“

“This has been a staple on Dudley St for some time with fantastic dinner plates, generous portions, & doesn’t give bland like other places I’ve been to. They have a variety of options to choose from and you sure won’t be disappointed. My favorite are the calzones. They even at one point sold pastelitos or as many know Spanish beef/chicken patties. Very tasty. My family will never go elsewhere.“

“Came here pre-concert upon the recommendation of friends who live in the West End. Perfect suggestion! Great pizza options - you can see the pizza oven from your seat. The four of us light eaters shared the pear arugula salad (excellent - the balsamic dressing was fantastic.) followed by a large pizza. We were able to get half margherita half salsiccia to satisfy all tastes. OMG the sauce is some of the freshest I've had in the North End. Service was great - got us in and out in plenty of time. If planning to go before a game or concert, a reservation is a must. A short walk from home, so we'll definitely be back!“

“I ordered a pepperoni pie from Gary’s via Uber Eats, fully expecting the usual delivery drop-off in quality.

Didn’t happen.

This thing showed up hot, the cheese still perfectly melted, and the pepperoni cups crisped up with those little pools of grease that you actually want. The crust held its structure, not floppy, not cardboard. Even after the ride over, it still had that out of the oven feel.

The sauce had a nice balance, slightly sweet but not sugary, and the cheese pull was legit. You can tell this isn’t just late-night drunk pizza. It’s good pizza.

If it tastes this good through delivery, I can only imagine how it hits straight from the counter.“

“I am thoroughly impressed with this establishment. They are located on a very tight block with literally zero parking. That being said i think that is partly why they excel in literally every single category: food quality, Customer service, freshness. I made a very detailed ordered and this sub shop made it to the LETTER. even the drink cooler is the coldest I have ever experienced. Im not sure if this is new management or has always been this detailed but I am impressed and this is the best sub shop in the city! Amazing business you have.“

“I went here a few times when I was at berklee over the summer and it was always pretty good but one night I showed up and I ordered a bunch of square pizza cuz they had a card minimum and a slice was slightly under 5 bucks and I already had a drink so I was like ok lets get 2 pieces and it was seriously the best pizza I ever ate, I had eaten dinner like an hour or so before so I was like not hungry at all but i finished both of em cuz they were that good it was that good I went back but they did not have the pizza again so I got something else and it was also pretty good and so I was like yeah this joint is something else! The energy from the win carried right into that first bite. If you’re heading out of a game and need a quick, satisfying bite, this place is a must. This time I ordered something other than my standard large burger. The chicken parma stuffed shells was a massive serving. Seriously! Look at this thing! It is legitimately an 8 inch round serving, which is easily a meal for 3-4 people, especially if you order a salad. My daughter order a chicken parm sub; the total for both was $30, and her sandwich was enough to feed 2. So, to put it into perspective... 😀 Where can you feed 5 people for $30?
