“Love Tu y Yo in Somerville but quite a drive for us. This has the same owners and much of the same menu and is much closer. This restaurant was wonderful! My favorites are the cactus salad, the tamales, plantains, and birria tacos. Mole wasn't my favorite, and pozole was good but a bit salty. Staff were really friendly and welcoming! “Had a wonderful time, especially thanks to the tour guide(s) at 4 pm. The main leader, “Sarah,” definitely made the experience worthwhile. There was a giant group of young kids that weren’t paying much attention (as young kids do-not a complaint) yet we were able to learn and enjoy the amazing museum and experiences nonetheless. They were very accommodating, humorous, and well equipped to handle large groups of people while keeping their attention. We liked the experience and would go back.“

“Seoul Soulongtang is a pretty popular restaurant located in the heart of Allston.

The lines are usually pretty long to enter here, so I would come early if you are looking to get a table. The service was quick and efficient, and they were able to get meals out within a timely manner.

The restaurant has a large seating area, and there used to be seating areas where you could sit on the floor and eat. I haven't seen anyone use it though for a couple of years now, and it seems like it had been converted to where they store delivery orders. The kitchen is open and you can see into the kitchen at some tables.

As for the food, it is alright but the most recent visit I thought it was a little lacking. I usually get the Budae Jjigae, which comes with the sauce on the bottom. The sauce eventually diffuses throughout the soup to have the signature spice. The Budae Jjigae is very good, and I would definitely recommend it if you are hungry.

In comparison, I also tried the Yookgae Jang. I expected it to be spicy and with good flavor, but I was disappointed to see that the broth was watery and had no real flavor to it. It just tasted like water with a bit of diluted spice.

The prices here are pretty good for the portion size, and I would definitely come here for a casual dinner with friends.“

“Cafe Mami is a neighborhood gem. We've been coming here for years to enjoy their variety of Japanese comfort food. They have probably the best curry in Boston. Love the depth of great fruity curry flavor with their pork and chicken katsu and hamburger. Their gyudon has crispy sliced beef and beansprouts. Couple of our favorites are the Nininku chicken and beef tofu sets. Sauces are great and free refills on rice. They offer great value and quality. Staff is friendly and efficient. So happy they are still in the neighborhood after all these years.“

The place LOOKS amazing, they had sports playing on a bunch of tvs the food was PHENOMENAL, you order and they text you when it's ready that was pretty wild to me, and the best part of all the amazing staff that was so friendly to me and my family members. “6/24/26: Mr. H has been on my list since they opened, so we finally made it over on June 24th for a 7 PM dinner. The dining room definitely lives up to the hype. It's dark, energetic, and feels like you're stepping into a modern Shanghai cocktail lounge rather than a typical Chinese restaurant. It was busy but never felt overwhelming, making it a great spot for a group dinner or a night out.

We decided to share just about everything on the menu, and that's definitely the way to experience this place. We started with the Tangerine Tuna, which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. The mandarin, peanuts, and spicy mayo gave it a bright, refreshing flavor that was different from the usual tuna crudo. The Spicy Salmon Puffs were another standout with a fun combination of crispy rice puffs, spicy salmon, and a touch of honey. We also ordered the Crab Rangoons, Scallion Pancake, Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, Wang Shou Wings, and Pork Belly Buns. The rangoons had a perfectly crispy shell with a creamy filling, while the scallion pancake disappeared almost immediately thanks to the house dipping sauce. The pork belly buns were rich and packed with flavor, and the wings had a unique dry spice blend with just enough heat to keep you reaching for another.

For the larger plates, we shared the Dandan Noodles, House Fried Rice, Cantonese Fried Chicken, and the whole soy chicken noodle platter. The fried rice was probably the biggest surprise of the night. It's easy to overlook a fried rice on a menu this large, but it was incredibly flavorful and one of the dishes everyone kept going back for. The Dandan noodles were rich with a nutty sesame-peanut sauce and just enough chili oil to give them some kick. The Cantonese fried chicken was perfectly crispy without feeling greasy, and the soy chicken platter was ideal for sharing with the table.

The cocktail program deserves a mention too. We tried the Paper Crane, Mr. H Mai Tai, and White Dragon before finishing the night with the Hibiki Harmony whiskey, which was presented in a really fun smoked tableside display that made for a memorable ending to the meal. The cocktails were creative without being overcomplicated and fit the vibe of the restaurant perfectly.

Overall, Mr. H delivers more than just good food. The atmosphere, presentation, cocktails, and shareable menu make it a place that's meant to be experienced with friends. I'd recommend coming with a group so you can order across the menu instead of sticking to just a couple of dishes. It's not an inexpensive dinner, but for a special night out in the Seaport, I thought it was well worth it.“

Our first time in; We dined in on a Wednesday and was instantly greeted and sat to a table with a menu. The atmosphere here is very welcoming and feels like I’m going to a family’s house for a wholesome home cooked meal. (And a great music playlist might I add)
We ordered quite a bit, thai rolls, chicken pho, lomein, pork fried rice! Everything came out quickly while still being hot, rich in flavor and overall better than most if not all similar restaurants in the Boston area.

I stopped here after an appointment in the area, first time here, so I didn’t know what to expect.

STAFF: Gentlemen at the counter didn’t mind answering my questions or altering my food order, he was very nice and no attitude, It’s an open kitchen: you can see the chefs do everything while you wait

FOOD: Crab Rangoon, Boneless Spareribs, White Shrimp Fried Rice, Beef Teriyaki, and Spring Roll: No complaints on anything. Everything was demolished. 🤣

PRICE: MANY OF THE APPS/ENTREES HAVE BOGO OPTIONS, WORTH TAKING ADVANTAGE OF.

My only issue is the prices are too high for what you get in size and quantity of food, otherwise a great place for a meal or fancy coffee & a relatively quiet place to sit and relax, highly recommended!“
