The Middle East in Cambridge buzzed with energy—lively crowds, great acoustics, and a friendly vibe. Staff were warm and efficient, even helping us find parking nearby. Food portions were hearty for the price, especially the fried fish. The Upstairs room felt intimate despite the crowd. Only minor hiccup: limited parking spots, but the team was accommodating. Maybe more spots would help during big events. Worth returning for the atmosphere alone!
The food was really good, and they also had a nice selection of drinks to choose from at the restaurant. I definitely recommend arriving early and getting something to eat before the concerts, as it can get busy afterward. The bar service in the upstairs stage was also great and made it easy to grab a drink during the show. I’m always happy to support and watch small, medium-sized, and local bands here!
This is our absolute favorite venue out of the hundred or so we've visited over years and years of New England concerts. The Cambridge neighborhood is great for shopping, art, and culture. The live music at The Middle East is a variety of the best of each genre, the food is Middle Eastern and nothing but awesome, and the staff is friendly and professional. We've been coming here for many years and the family who owns it is SO welcoming to us every time. Recommended for sure.

The Middle East Restaurant and Club is an atmospheric, family-run establishment in Boston that offers a variety of concert halls for events. The staff is praised for their fantastic service, and the weekly events, particularly the Thursday karaoke night with DJ Sparky, are known to be great fun.
The venue has an incredible vibe, great food, and great music. The live shows in the basement are pure magic, with an intimate vibe that puts you right in front of the artists. Whether it's an underground metal gig or something different, the energy is unmatched. The stage is close, the bartenders are quick, and the bouncers keep it all running smooth. The place is a great venue for live music, with about 5 different rooms with music, and on weekends up to 3 of them could be having shows at the same time, especially for catching rock, metal, and punk bands.
