Always a vibe. The best clubs are hidden in plain sight.
I visited this place for the first time over the weekend. My best friend and I went for an overnight trip to Boston from Maine and had a blast. The two gentlemen working the bar were wonderful and can make a damn good drink. The DJ was amazing! The music was perfect for dancing and it was all stuff you probably know. Will absolutely be visiting again!
I remember the Middlesex when it opened. A small danceteria with a good vibe.

Middlesex is a decently large restaurant with a reserved space available before prime time. The venue is rather small, making the experience casual and lively. Drinks are average and priced typically for Cambridge. It often features a cover charge, which escalates throughout the night, starting at $10. The restaurant is known for its top-notch DJs, including DJ Minx, who brings an epic vibe to the dance floor. The atmosphere is fun, and the staff is solid and welcoming, with friendly bartenders. Despite some bathroom issues with locking and the DJ booth being near the restrooms, the dance floor has enough space for guests to enjoy themselves and even create a dance cypher. This long-standing spot in Boston is a great place for a fun night out, especially on Thursdays when the crowd is always welcoming and polite.
