“Came to an empty shop for a quick lunch: chicken parm sandwich (wanted an eggplant parm, but only eggplant pizza was available which is strange because ingredients in a restaurant are generally multi-dish). Service was as expected.

Sandwich was generally well built, good bread, good size ($18 may be a bit steep, but there was plenty of meat) , right amount of cheese and not too heavy on the sauce. Two unexpected negatives stood out: low salt and chicken was too cool for a sandwich.

The low salt is very unusual, I feel like the cheese was changed and sauce never adjusted (and I am not one of those eating a bag of chips before the sandwich).

Cool chicken (colder than what you would expect from a dense parm sandwich) after 5 minutes in a bag is very strange. Sauce was warmer.“

“Yalllll ….. this pizza joint is amazing. We landed in Boston on a Saturday night and were desperate to find a place to eat. We parked in front and the smell of the pizza was mouthwatering.

“Honestly, I have eaten at a lot of domino’s and I have to say this domino’s in Charlestown is by far one of the best domino’s I have ordered from. I would definitely recommend this domino’s especially if you are not a fan of the franchise. They definitely perfected cooking there food. It’s well done and presented great.“

“Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. “We drove an hour and a half just to try some authentic Puerto Rican food. The tripleta sandwich was the best I've had outside the island, and the rice, beans and pernil were simply amazing. I will definitely make the trip again. Absolutely worth it!“

“​I ordered the roast beef three way and thought it was quite good. The roast beef was warm and delicious, prepared to a perfect medium doneness. While I can appreciate a rare roast beef, some places overdo it to the point of being almost raw. I Will definitely return again.“

Words are insufficient to describe my excitement for Mario’s!!!

I’ll start with THIN CRUST - Classic Neapolitan pizza, ITALIAN style. Then FRESH FRESH FRESH ingredients make all the difference. I look forward to it, whenever I can make it, usually for lunch on Friday, the only week day they’re open at 12:00 noon. Awesome vibe that’s 100% local local local. Small place, mostly take out, but you can seat 3-4 people at the window counter, which I love. Old school marble counter, with comfy padded bar stools. You have to know it’s here as the location is a tad off the beaten path of prime visibility. Which ‘proves’ one of my philosophies ‘ great location, often mehh food, not so great location - the food must be amazing. So many amazing points …. One of which is the ACTUAL MARIO! Punctuating the super local CHEF OWNED cafe. He’s here all the time, super nice guy, a joy to chat with … and he truly loves making incredible pizza!!“

“I was excited to find this restaurant. I am severely allergic to nuts and fish and they are nut and fish free in their Brookline restaurant! The food is delicious, the wait staff are so nice, and I didn’t have to worry about my allergies! Highly recommend.“

“Stopped in on a Thursday night with the family, no reservations, and waited about 35 minutes for a table. Totally worth it.

We ordered two pizzas, the burrata salad, and a charcuterie board, and everything hit the mark. The pizzas were perfectly cooked, great crust and flavor, the burrata was fresh and creamy, and the charcuterie board was exactly what you’d hope for—quality meats and cheeses done right.

Food came out quick, service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe was casual but lively.

“Imo, Union Square lacks great pizza. Sure, all the Indian joints around here make good pizza. Hotbox is great. However, they all feel like a different pizza experience that isn’t the “classic” pizza I’ve been looking for. For me, Caesar’s hits that mark.

Stopped in for a slice of cheese pizza on a 90 degree day in June. No flop, cheese to sauce ratio was just what I like. Atmosphere feels old school, lots of coke memorabilia, good classics being played over the radio. AC was on and I was enjoying a cold bottle of Mexican Coke. Is this not the ideal atmosphere for consuming pizza??

“There is no better way to describe this other than Amazing. I have visited this place in the morning, daytime, or even at night and they never disappoint. The most warm hearted and welcoming staff and the owner is the most hospitable person ever. The cherry on top was when I urgently needed a couple of pizzas for a small office pizza Friday lunch party and I ordered it the evening before. Although they open at 11 they brought me the food along with delivery on time with to the door service. The pizza was still very warm and it was sooo good that a person that wanted to take leftovers home couldn't find a single slice by the end of the shift 😂. The Meatlover Pizza was the star people ADORED it. The freshness of the meat and the dough were an amazing combo. The margarita blew everyone away as well That day I also ordered Lule between bread for myself and let me tell you that is their specialty. The meat was so juicy and tender and you gotta sprinkle some sumakh. I always read reviews of this place and they are like where is their non pizza menu? I couldn't tell you that but all you need to do is ask. They have a variety of options and all of the meat is Halal. This place despite being small is so popular that they are packed a lot of the time during the day. That's why I'm pretty sure they are expanding, as they should. If you need catering for a small, medium, or large event they will have your back as well. I got to know them through an unrelated event where they catered for a 100 person event and that taste still lingers on my taste buds. Bottom line is don't be fooled by the old negative reviews. This place is booming and as long as you're friendly and hungry they will not disappoint.“

I made a big mistake about a catering order I placed 2 hours before an event that my nonprofit was holding. I spoke to who I assume was the owner of the restaurant and he was SO kind and accommodating. He created a catering order for me that he knew would feed the amount of guests at the event and due to my confusion (which was entirely my fault), without hesitation he offered to have it delivered to the event even though the restaurant does not deliver. I am certain that the amount of food definitely cost more than the amount that he charged me. He also offered to throw in free cookies after I shared we are a nonprofit. Not only was all of his kindness greatly appreciated by our organization but after the event ended, multiple attendees expressed how delicious the food was. One asked where the chicken alfredo was from so they could go get some themselves!! We have never received a post-event email about the food before!!

“Coming from Vegas where good pizza is scarce, we couldn’t have enjoyed this fresh traditional style pizza more! And they had tons of toppings and recipes to choose from. We wish our bellies were bigger to enjoy the sandwiches and pastas too. We will definitely return if we make it back to this side of the country again. “I am a self-proclaimed pizza snob and generally only enjoy NY-style pizza, but Royal Pizza & Subs makes an excellent pizza that rivals what I grew up eating. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the sauce-to-cheese ratio was ideal, and the pepperoni was high quality. The medium-thickness crust was slightly different from NY-style pizza, but so delicious that I didn’t mind one bit! (It was a bit softer and chewier than what I’m used to, and I didn’t notice any semolina flour on the bottom.) My spouse doesn’t usually eat the crust, but we both finished every last bit of our slices! The pizza was a little greasy because of the generous portion of pepperoni, but who would complain about that?! Nothing a few napkins can’t fix!

The staff were super friendly and the service was great: our pizza was ready so quickly! The prices were also extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I am so happy that this restaurant is so close to home: it’s going to become a regular place for us to eat at! “I was raised in Chicago and I take pizza seriously! Frank Pepe Pizzeria is now my favorite pizza place! Their crust is sublime. Fresh, delicious ingredients every time. “Favorite new pizza spot of the area!! Has the traditional style of New London style pizza, slightly greasy but not overly so, fresh baked, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Highly recommend the mushroom and hamburger pizza, as well as the Greek style. While they may not have the Wood-Fired pizza options that you might get at some other pizza places in Cambridge, you get really traditional Pizza. That is just really tasty and a really good value.

“Pick up - I had gone to beauty school in 09 down the street from here and woild always go on my lunch break. I’m from RI and once I heard my husband was going to be working down the street from here I was thrilled. The pizza is thin style, perfect ratio of cheese and sauce. Did not disappoint“
